@@mickethegoblin7167 please explain? How are they linked? You can jerk off without watching porn...and likewise you can watch porn without jerking off. As a 32 year old male I watched my "fair share", to put it lightly haha, of porn when I was younger. Albeit mainly vhs and dvd because we didn't have smartphones. But even then I didn't always need porn to fap. Also using intrinsically here doesn't make much sense unless the only way to fap was through porn. The definition of intrinsic is ; belonging naturally; essential. In what why are they essential to each other or belong naturally? I have watched porn maybe 3 times in the past 4 years, mainly to see what can and doesn't arouse me, yet fap every once in awhile, maybe 4-6 months in between, when I feel it's needed. But to say they are intrinsically linked just isn't true. Human's and animals even, have been masturbating for thousands of years before the advent of porn was even a thought.
Even if nofap had zero positive effects on its own, the amount of discipline and willpower necessary to do it, is gonna spill over and improve all other areas of your life.
When im on NoFap, small things like talking to someone, going for a walk, or other casualties feel so more rewarding, pleasant and fun. For me its like a drug that makes every small interaction in my life better and im overall happier.
I’m not being funny but the main concern that I have with nofap is that if you meet a girl you will bust in 1 pump if that’s the first bit of action you get in weeks. Do you guys account for that or??
After many many failed attempts to quit porn, I'm 46 days in going strong. I'm happy I finally no longer feel addicted to it and the difference in energy and motivation to do stuff is definetly not negligible.
Stay strong day 90 is when you finally healed but you always have those bad days that make it tempting. I relapsed after 2 years and the regret always out weighs that nut
The porn is the significant part. It makes your whole psychology and biology off-balance. Edit: porn just generally disgusts me now. It doesn't do anything for me.
It's not just porn, it's everything. Food, drugs, television; we're living in a world where getting dopamine is as easy pressing a button whereas our ancestors had to exert effort in order to achieve the same release.
The problem with ancestors theory is that we don't actually know what they did, we were not there. A lot of them still suffered and had lots of issues it was not all flowers and butterflies you know. People assume it was better but was it really? Probably not.
Except alcoholics can actually die from going cold turkey, to give up porn you just need a morsel of self discipline and not open up a private browser and hit up the hub.
Stay away from all sexual stimulus clean up mind. Its great i guarantee you a better life. Have you ever felt pleasure always is not good search for happinesss life become 10x better
@@peripheralparadox4218 mm its hard but there is a price to pay for everything you want to achieve in life i wish and pray you will get over all these and have a quality life. You can train yourself to look away from woman and train to look at their face but you need some strong motivation for me that motivation is christ you need to find your own motivation I feel privilaged to be born in India eventhough i am not rich i have the surrounding to live a healthy life
I have had several no fap streaks of as long as 10 months, no porn, no edging, no sexting nothing, only sex in real life. In my personal experience whenever I am busting continuously my quality of life highly declines, I get tired easily, I am unable to finish my workouts, I lack the motivation to do anything, its like busting a nut sucks the life out of me. Although when I am on no fap, its like I am an entirely different person, more energy throughout the day, easily completing my work outs, the female attraction I receive while on no fap is unbelievable. So I do not care what one study says about fapping, I do not even usually comment on youtube videos and I highly respect Derek and Chris, have been watching them for years but, masturbation or porn are not beneficial in any way, at least not in my experience.
@@keaganhunter5365 If it is a placebo effect, then even better. Instead of calling it "placebo effect" I would call it "the power of belief". I would not underestimate the power of belief.
This is actually my experience too. When I don’t fap I have way more energy, higher testosterone levels. Also as you mentioned, girls are more attracted to me.
It's all a complete placebo affect. The fact that you believe you get confidence to talk tongirls because of no fap is idiotic to say the least. You always had the confidence, but your looking for some bull shit reason, and no fap is complete bull shit.
@Matthew Sharkey clearly you can't read. I never said nofap gave me confidence to talk to women. When I use to fap I didn't have the desire to talk to women. The fear was there before that. When I stop doing it, I forced myself to talk yo women so I could be intimate with them. I never said anything about nofap gave me confidence, dumbass.
Well yeh you're gunna burn way more calories having sex and using your whole body, especially if you're going for 30+ mins. Compare that to using your band for 3 mins lol.
Dropping porn has really helped be in the moment and more mentally present with my wife. Dropping masturbation as well, took it to a whole new level of connection and pleasure. If you are in a relationship in which you may have to wait several weeks or months between, I could see it being more difficult and maybe have less benefits. But if you are having sex 1-2 times a week, it definitely makes it way better to hold off and save everything for that next interaction with your woman.
Married with one child, 27. 367 days nofap, no porn. Better husband, better father, better person overall. Focus and discipline much easier to target towards objectives. Never going back to the easy dopamine hits!
@@Alan-lb8ef nope. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have zero urges. It's just that I find it more rewarding to quell the urges than to give into to them. If I'm feeling sexual, I'll look towards my wife. She feels much more wanted and feels much more secure that my sensuality is solely hers. In my opinion, that's an ode to the traditional idea of what marriage should entail. To which I agree with now more than ever seeing how porn nearly ended my marriage.
Porn addiction is real and incredibly destructive I'm trying to literally undo about 20 years of conditioning my brain from it It's hard as hell I don't see a ton of immediate benefits. But it's because it's going to take time. Conversely however I can see every single problem that porn has created for me I'm tired of it. Thanks for talking about this
@@Rai_Koroshiya thanks. I've been making a lot of changes and progress with it. It was just that last elephant in the room I finally had to acknowledge on a multi-year path at this point of personal development
The numbers of marriages that porn has damaged is completely understated. It’s so dangerous for the reasons you described. The addiction happened to me, greatly affected my marriage and my wife’s confidence. I had her block all access to any sort of porn site through all my devices and now we pay family lock subscription service to keep me off of it. 2 years later, our marriage has never been better.
I'll never understand addiction in general but especially porn addiction. The moment i recognize something is unhealthy for me it becomes disgusting to me and I literally could not force myself to consume it even if i wanted to. It's almost actually a problem for me because i find myself not wanting to eat food at all if i don't have access to food that i don't deem healthy.
I've been struggling with porn for the past few months and have been trying to quit and when I try nofap for long periods of time I notice that I feel more confident in myself, don't feel as depressed, don't feel a sense of unspoken shame and distance from my friends and family. But this is just my experience with nofap.
I'm on my 56th day and I feel terrible. Not saying that those two are somehow correlated. I would even go so far as to say that with porn I would probably feel even worse
@@MeinungMann I try my best to distract myself, push ups, running, stuff like that and also try to set small goals for yourself, try to learn something new, read a book stuff like that. And yeah some days are harder than others, I've relapsed alot.
This is no bullshit. I did it for 94 days. It was really hard in the beginning and my mind was all over the place. However, at the end I felt very different. I'm not talking about "superpowers" like some people claim, but I did feel way more confident and surer of myself. It was almost like I just felt I was going to win at life, almost like nothing could bring me down. But then I fell off and went right back to my old ways, lol. However, that brief period of time felt like nothing I had experienced before.
@dejuren it damages your androgen receptors. Look up more about it. If someone is addicted to porn, masturbation is something to be avoided. Really be scared of a 20% more risk of prostate cancer bruh
@dejuren EXACTLY. I tried the same and I tell you what I felt exactly the goddamn same. I think Derek is right where it’s only as beneficial as it was previously detrimental.
@@dejuren1367you don’t increase your risk buddy. It just decreases your risk if you decide too. Otherwise it’s baseline risk depending on genetic orientation.
I wonder if you experienced that Testosterone Peak after a week? Testosterone is a natural motivational drug, so more testosterone should be able to change you enough to feel like a different person, just like on MDMA or pot, or coke etc.
I’ve decided to take the no far journey. I’ll never look back. Talking to woman is easier then ever,I’m significantly higher in energy & the discipline of controlling those urges is unmatched. Completely life changing.
@@SuperFUNKMASTERG theyre barely correlated, and even if they were testosterone levels dont matter as much people think they do, unless there was an actual medical issue and you were hypogonadal obviously.
For those who are on nofap and relapse. Don’t worry, be happy you tried and did well. In the moment you might feel bad but you don’t something not everyone can do ❤❤❤❤
After 25 days of being on no fap, I’m proud of myself. This terrible addiction drained my energy and I sometimes felt weak in the gym, also I would get break outs in my skin at times. After 7 days of no fap I have energy and strength all the time, and my skin looks clearer and nicer. Even if it had no benefits its still do it, realizing so much dopamine is not good for your brain
Hopefully you've continued your journey and you're around the 19 day mark now. Keep going and never think about going back. Don't lose all the progress you've made just for a few seconds of pleasure.
Wet dreams are so annoying, it always makes you wake up and you feel like you pissed in the bed... And you have to change your clean underwear again or worse, change the whole bed sheets lol
Since I got puberty I have never retain semen for over a week. Now I am 30 and it’s the first time that I am single and staying at h home and following no fap for over two months. I have got remarkably disciplined, and a lot of motivation to do stuff and plan life.
There is absolutely NO question that nofap creates a discipline within yourself, which can then transfer into other areas of your life. I have more energy, I feel stronger, High libido, feel more sure of myself and focused/motivated just to name a few.
I appreciate this guy laying it out there as real as I’ve heard anyone explain this issue. I see so much self-pity, shame, and confusion in this NoFap realm. Quitting porn has more to do with not becoming unmotivated or apathetic about your circumstance rather than shaming oneself into some monk-like state where you’re all about restraint and never about the end goal, finding a relationship and a healthy sex-life.
This is the comment I was looking for. I feel Nofap community (not all but most of them) change one issue for another. The main goal should be reconnect us with our mind and body to create a healthy lifestile no being sickly counting days or ignoring our natural needs like sex (with a partner). Even masturbation without an abuse and using your imagination can be okay.
A significant portion of nofap community is mentally unwell and is mistaking a symptom (maladaptive strategy of mood regulation through compulsive masturbation) for the cause (various underlying mental health issues). Their general view of the topic of sexual fantasies and masturbation as well as their approach to the problematic aspects of excessive masturbation is indicative of exactly that. It is never about a healthy balance in one's sex life, it is always some all or nothing hypercompensation-like approach, where you shouldn't even look at swimsuit calendars or else all your efforts in the so called "rebooting" will go in vain. This strategy very attractive to people with certain mental health issues, but unfortunately it very rarely works.
I've been in bondage with pornography and masturbation for about more than 15 yrs. I'm 33 now and I'm on the process of recovery. I cannot take back the time I've lost. I could've been in an authentic relationship and be married but still I am accountable for my choices that compounded over the years. Going back to God really helps. The Lord Jesus Christ will heal us all if we just allow him in our lives.
the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is right now, dont worry about the past people get married at 40 even. And god has a path for everyone.
Im 33 too, porn and masturbation over 18 years and i steel do this .dont have girlfriend or wife anyway so porn is thing for me. Lost concentrations and everything feel so boring without porn and models so hot and beautifull
I’ve done over 2 months. Other things happen that nobody tells you. Your body will release on its own. Your mind will wander but will be more focused. It depends on your state of mind, lifestyle, and testosterone levels. Similar to fasting, it depends on how experienced you are, how much fat you have, and how much tolerance you have. It’s worth doing for 2 weeks at a time but not more than that.
Ejaculating at least twice a week is a way to reduce the risk of testicular cancer - just bc your body destroys unused semen, that process produces some chemicals that can be over a long time increase cancer risk. People seem to struggle with the concept of doing things in moderation lol
Nofap helped me up my Bench Press Max by 40 lbs. Then when I added in Eyes moving laterally and Ice Baths, I got my pro card(I didnt even go to an event, they just mailed me the Pro Card) and was offered a position as the CEO of Brazzzzers entertainment.

@Indrid Cold that’s literally my position right now. I used to be super motivated to try all this self-development stuff, and I had many good experiences. But within the last year I’ve had some pretty shitty ones and it has killed my will to try again
This is definitely great points, Derrick always giving good advice. I see “ don’t fap because its weird”, then Derrick comes with the facts about dopamine and shi
Personally, The main benefit of Noporn or Nofap is simply having the ability to control such a powerful temptation. That applies for any temptation or vice. Our ability to moderate our vices in a healthy and positive manner will always produce the best outcomes.
Great vid. I took from it that it’s the commitment and following through something whether it’s no fapping, no porn, no cigarettes, writing daily, etc that’s the key. The feeling of grabbing the wheel from our id and steering our car.
Balance is key. Obviously nofap isn’t going to make you pick up women, get stronger, or build muscle, or even become attractive, but if it’s an obsession and it’s negatively impacting your life then you need to start nofap.
Everything i will say is my experience and it does not always represent every individual trying the nofap journey, i am on 90+ days nofap, i dont care if its a placebo or not but nofap makes you redpilled by default. Before nofap i was always thirsty for sex, i was desperate for girls and i was acting as they were the prize, my 2 serious relationships got destroyed because of my high libido asking constantly for sex. Now i feel like something clicked, i am more goal oriented and i dont care about finding a relationship , i still like women and i still have sexual urges when i see a beautiful woman but i dont crave for their companionship, i seem more indifferrent towards them and i value myself and my freedom more.
NoFap has some tremendous benefits especially if one is on the Autistic spectrum, has OCD or a brain that can easily be "fogged" or get tired easily. Such people will recognize the effects vividly almost by the first week, especially if they did it extensively since early adolescence. That "slow mode" ever-tiredness of the brain will be mostly gone, the sleep quality will dramatically increase, most importantly the anxiety will vanish after a while. Tho neurotypical people might not perceive such dramatic differences but still the self discipline aspect is a huge gem.
My best ever year in life was 2019 when I started no fap and went on a long streak for like six months. I remember just being more organized, cleaner,Attractive and actually smarter as well, that was my final year in undergrad and I was the smartest I ever been I remember I relapsed late in the year and just lost it all again. I know it works but I think it takes time to rewire your brain might be a few months for someone or longer for someone else.
@@Luke_MoonWalker you must be easily impressed. Good memories and photographic memories are two very different things. True photographic memories are extremely, extremely rare.
I don’t think I ever watched porn during a relationship. That sexual need was obviously met. But whenever I’ve been single and not in the dating realm, I’ve always noticed how easily addicting it can be. And I have become very addicted at times to it. Currently kinda struggling with it but I just needa get back on to the dating sphere again even if it’s just for casual sex. I think I struggle with a sex addiction more than anything or just have a pretty high sex drive and libido. But yes, it is definitely needed for people who don’t do anything and just watch porn all day and are antisocial hermits that don’t do interact with people in social scenarios.
Man I took your advice and so I headed to the local pub and told the hottie barwoman "hey I am on a no-fap no-porn thing for 30 days and I was wondering if you could help me out with this experiment" she laughed and then from nowhere this huge bouncer guy appeared and carried me outside.
I think it's a bit harsh to just assume that people that use porn are 'hermits'. The last 9 months or so I've been putting myself out there having a fair amount of dates each month but it's not easy to go on several dates with people, spend a ton of money time and effort just for a person to turn around and say they are not interested in me or vice-versa, now apply that by 2-3 people at a time and it adds up
The thing is you can bust a nut without porn, only when you are really horny. The problem of porn is its addictive nature (you end up fapping just for the dopamine rush) and how it can kill your desire to have a relationship with other people
I´ve been where you are, and my advice would be to step back for a little while, especially when it cost you a ton of money. True love shouldn´t cost a damn thing, people have seem to forgotten that. I´m almost 40 divorced and single and dropped dating as a whole, it´s a freaking cesspool out there nowadays. And instead of spending money on (ungrateful) dates, I bought myself a new car and enjoying the crap out of it! Yes being single and all nofab is a struggle I admit, but better to have standards and fail the nofab once in a while, then to date woman with at least a dozen other men on speed dail and feel twice as shitty.
Just go on sex dates. Don’t bother wining and dining them to save money and time. That’s what I do. Haven’t done it for a while cos I got bored picking up loads of stds
Take dates for a walk at the park & a picnic!!! Cheap & way better than some fancy restaurant!! This is coming from a woman... You men don't need to spend crazy money on dates...
I think with a lot of people it's all or nothing. Being a porn/masturbation addict is like any addiction. If you're an alcoholic and can't get though your day without a few drinks, you have an issue. Some of us are just having a glass of wine with dinner every now and then.
I think the issue is that once you do it once, fap and porn, it’s too easy to do it again and again and again. Also if your someone like me who is more concerned with building a business and working out that dating at the moment, all the sexual urges just get in the way. It’s much nicer to just wait, and when you are ready to date you are charged up and way more attractive to a woman.
Lasted 45 days on no.fap and man it was great going to sleep with out getting high, more energy during the day started reading again, stronger in the gym muscles looked better, confidence in talking to women.
@@Polycubism what the hell.. Propaganda? Your D is a muscle.. It gets weaker over time if you don't use it, this goes physically and mentally. What makes a man strong isn't nofap but the control over self. Over the desire and pleasure.
This is my own experience as a nofapper for a years my longest streak was around 90 days and tbh the benefits are mind blowing like I was a totally different person more social more charismatic
Nofap had horrible effects on my mind and body. Basically everything that people say it does, did the opposite to me. Damn near destroyed my relationship. Noporn however greatly improved my sex life and relationship. Nofap isn't for everyone.
I'm the same. It was a mind fog, less sleep and even pain around the prostate. Though, I liked the after math experience, I consume less porn and know my body limits better.
@@nightmoose No, it's the consequences of nofap. Not masturbating resulted in niche health problems and made me desperately crave more sex which led me elsewhere. Not everyone in a relationship has matching sex drives. And some people who don't alleviate that need become dysregulated in their behaviour. Especially if you have specific genetic susceptibility and mental illness you're trying to manage. All of which is the case for me, one hundred percent.
noFap has been misunderstood since it became mainstream, he did quite good job. NoFap was and is only for someone who is extremely addicted to masturbation/self-stimulation (to not only porn) to a point where it starts to affect their daily life like sleep, being tired, no motivation, ugly views towards women etc. and the results depends on the level of your addiction, the more addicted to more extreme/better results. porn is starting point but it's not only to blame. I think the entertainment industry and social media is a huge trigger point for many people.
I’m not an advocate for porn, however, there’s a huge segment of average guys who are totally ignored by most women. Are these guys supposed to just be celibate monks while the more attractive guys are juggling 10 women at a time??? As tough as the dating scene is right now, I think it’s totally understandable why many guys would gravitate to porn instead of entertaining the leftover scraps of the dating market. Again, I’m not saying porn is good, but men need some way to release.
The problem is guys like me who cannot just watch porn and fap once a month or once a week. I do it everyday, and it takes up huge amount of time that I could spend doing other stuff. It is a productivity killer.
I feel like a loser when doing nofap because I dont get laid so it legit makes me angry and I start having crazy thoughts. Then I will nut and think how I was trippin. Instead of watching porn now I just jerk off outside in the forest without porn it feels more natural.
@@ponternal You not getting laid doesn't determine whether you're a loser or not. There are plenty of losers who get laid, and plenty of non-losers who don't get laid.
I heard Dr.Drew say it best… if you want to not masturbate as a man for long periods of time that’s ok but your body is going to eventually “let it go” in the middle of the night while you sleep so you might as well handle the business on your own. Moderation is key and don’t beat yourself up about it.
I used to be very scared of masturbating. I used to think that masturbating would lower my testosterone, make me anxious, and make me lose self-confidence. It did do all of those things, but only because I believed that it would. Reality was, however, it was all in my head. Now that I don't really care anymore, I can not masturbate for a month or do it five times in a day and feel virtually the same. NoFap to me seems like pseudo-science at best.
True, I've felt worse on nofap and better without and vice versa. IMO the effects are not reliable, its pretty much just random. and why go to the trouble when you could just do it less often if its a problem.
Yes, I ended up like you because I was given a bunch of hellfire and brimstone bullshit when I was a kid. When I was less able to give a shit, and then fap, life actually got better.
My libido has always been through the roof. So I tried NoFap for a month as a form of self development. Gotta say, I hated the way it made me feel. It severely lowered my libido, made me apathetic AF, and it gave me a sense of restlessness overall. It didn't make my quality of life better whatsoever. 🤣 I've found 2x per week every 3-4 days to be ideal. The frequency is low enough where it isn't habit forming. But it keeps my libido sky high, and it seems to help testosterone function/overall wellness.
kinda same for me, sometimes it depends how stressfull life is, but overall everything over one or two weeks sucks for me and makes me feel like Im lowering my test/libido..
I agree with you about the overall libido and function. I think it makes a lot of sense that your body does more of what you do, and less of what you don't. Most of the body is like that
There's more than just hormone levels , it's about honing your will/ focus, there's alot of kinda far out there books about this but I'd definitely reccomend Samuel Aun Weor
I think finding a balance is key for a lot of ppl. If u can go forever without fapping good shit. Most Ik can’t lol I got a once a week schedule. I’m not smashing the dopamine button but holding off for more than that and I’m just walking around bricked tf up all the time. Once a week let’s me keep a normal state of being
"Balance is key". Wiser words have never been said. A lot of incredible advices are cliches, but people don't wanna follow BECAUSE it's a cliche. I live my life by cliches.
@@Varelinski yep. a lot of people nowadays resort to black and white thinking. having pizza is not inherently bad. having it every single is though. what i do think everyone should try is less porn. porn in general is just not the greatest. especially if you have addiction like symptoms otherwise you should be fine
@@mariushager9983 And if you do watch porn, keep it relatively simple. No gangbang bukkakes with 8 girls and 30 guys or anything too over the top. The more you watch porn, the more perverse and next level stuff will be needed to reach the same level of arousal over time, which once your brain gets used to that, plain sex with one woman who looks nothing like the girls from porn just doesn't do it for your brain anymore.
Agreed. I do think every man should try going an extended period without porn, fapping and even sex at least once in their life. Whether that's 30 days or 90 days, if you can go that long without giving in to that animal instinct, it will awaken a certain self- confidence. I mean if you can go without touching yourself or having sex for that long, you realise how much you are capable. And it goes without question that such a streak can be incredibly healing if you have a porn/sex addiction. But after that, ideally, we should come back to a more balanced (and natural) kind of lifestyle in relation to our sexuality. Ideally that would still mean no porn. It was also ideally mean no masturbation, because why masturbate when you can have sex (which is way more fulfilling).
I'm 37, I identified 20+ years ago in high school that after masturbation was making physiological changes in my body. Hindering my focus, mood, sense of well being, and athletic performance.
Its also about increasing self discipline. If you can avoid the shady side of the internet, you can motivate yourself to go to the gym even when your not feeling it.
@Joske Vermeulen nah I don’t agree. It’s all the same. Most people are abandoning porn and just gapping you only fans girls pictures/ TikTok dancers and it’s not even nude girls/ people having sex. The dopamine from a onlyfans/TikTok beat us the same or higher than some shitty porn
IM SO GLAD NOFAPPERS DONT REPRODUCE YOU PERVERTED FREAKS ARE GOING TO F YOUR KIDS UP HORRIBLY N PROBABLY MOLEST THEM TOO SINCE YOU H AVE ZERO EXECUTIVE FUNCTION
@Pine Fresh Thats true if you just say "Dont do it" without getting into detail. If you explain to them how its addictive, how it negatively effects the brain and low energy, and even explain your own history with it, than I think they'll listen. Transparency is important, its when parents are vague and dont go into detail that kids do the opposite.
Honestly I'd love companionship but right now I'm focusing on myself and getting a gf will only be stressful to deal with so I'd rather just hit the button when nature calls and then get back to work/studying for my future. Once I'm established I'll work on getting a gf.
Like many others, I had many failed attempts, but after 80 days I don't feel it's worth giving up the effort it took for a couple of seconds of a dopamine hit.
My addiction started when was young and was definitely very negative for my brain, I didn't completely do 'no fap' but I started by not doing it for a week and then I just set a limit to once every three days but eventually I didn't have the urge to open up that browser at all until once every 5 days or so, only doing it when I felt a big urge to do it lol. So it definitely isn't necessary to cut it out your life all together like some gurus will say but definitely moderation is key, you must be in control of your habits and not let your addictions control you like it did to me when I was young, especially if the addiction is skewing/distorting your world view/view of women.
If you have ever fapped every day, then gone to no-fap, the difference is massive in many departments, from personal experience. Doesn't have to be 100% 0 fapping ever, but at least have it under control, or measured.
For me, I tried it for 3 months after a breakup, and it did make me more "masculine" and seek women, but NOT for the right reasons. I was hooking up with women who I knew were not realationship material, and spend a lot more time, energy and money going on "dates" instead of getting the impulse out of the way and being more attracted to people I could imagine a future with.
same.. all i got from it was a constant boner near 24/7. on top of that it seriously takes a dangerous told on my mind. rather just rub one off then do life in prison. i think nofap is for ppl with low sx drives. for ppl with high sx drives they should approach with caution.
@@migueljuarez6788 i can mostly only go 1 week sometimes i can do 2 weeks. but never past 2 weeeks. with that said according to science theres no benefit past 2weeks as your test levels balance out after 2 weeks and you start to pee out seamen. 😓 so these guys going months doing nofap claiming they have super powers is just placebo effect at its fullest.
It’s more about discipline and having control over your own body than it’s about a streak or how many days you went. Women like discipline also, and that will carry over to other aspects in your life. Like going to bed amd waking up at a certain time, being on time for work/events, saying you’re going to do something and actually doing it, etc. Those sort of things are attractive. So that’s the benefits of No Fap for me.
Porn is damaging, no-fap allows you to save time, as addicted fappers may fap up-to 2-3 hours in a day. If you are in a relationship, no-fap can improve your sex life. Also if you are single, no-fap will really help you get a woman, as biologically you will be more masculine and risk more to find a mate partner.
I am 132 days without fapping. I notice between days 30-60 or 70 that i wasn’t sexually attracted to anyone, i honestly thought something was wrong with me. But i trusted the process and slowly my attraction returned. I am trying to make it to one year, wish me luck!!!
As a married man I started no fap because the quality of sex with my wife was steadily declining. From not being able to get it up at all to busting in like 60 seconds. I’d rather have great sex with my wife once a week than bust every day and have shitty sex. Never have I heard of so many men under 40 taking viagra and cialis. From my experience I think porn is the cause of it.
Pretty new to no fap. Been taking a Maca extract along with the seed retention so It certainly feels like my test goes up and up. Highly reccomend. Can’t believe I’ve spent so many years of my life prioritizing ejaculation the way I have. I still like to drain the pipes every now and then but it’s not anything I “need” to do anymore. Highly reccomend.
You could say the same thing about not watching TV if you’re not spending time doing one thing, then you have more time to do something else that you consider to be a better use of your energy. This is just managing priorities and time.
My gf started to be less s@xual and it has drastically changed our relationship. I’ve made it to the point she might want to have s@x 12 times a year or once a month. I had to put my foot down this past weekend because she isn’t feeling like the person I did have feelings for, and emotionally I take care of her but she won’t take care of me physically and I said if she won’t sit down and tell me honestly what’s going on or at least go try to figure out what’s going on then I need to move one. Especially because she wants to be married and I told her I’m not marrying a woman that can’t have sex with me. So I have worked on myself, pushed away from pron, working out, reading books and socializing more, unfortunately without her. And I’ve opened up some new doors in my life but I realize it may be only me going through them.
@@lesliechow9238 in the beginning yes, I definitely had some insecurities about her being with another guy. We’ve been very close as friends before dating and it makes it hard to step away. After confronting her about the stated above, she’s made honest efforts to engage more and has been making efforts to hit the gym and visit the doctor to see if there’s a hormone imbalance. I’m not going to leave someone if I can see them working on maintaining the relationship with me. But is has opened my eyes up to how relationships can quickly dissolve. It’s a work in progress both her and I are doing things for each other to show gratitude and appreciation. And understanding each other’s wants and needs. Be truly fulfilled with a real & loving type. btw, do everything for self, but selflessly… I write this for myself for example, the world is your notebook and your love letter… It’s about how good of a liver of life you can be, it’s not about what you get… when you do push-ups the floor isn’t giving you anything, you are giving everything and getting things as a result.

“Does it work”. That depends on its purpose, but if you stop devoting attention to something then you have more attention to devote elsewhere. Its that simple
Im surprised they didnt bring up NoFap as a way to build ‘self-discipline’. If you have never tried it, its not easy and most people who arent disciplined mentally will inevitably talk themselves into it, and break after a few days.
I think context is key here. I tried 30 days no ejaculation while still having sex and it wasn't too difficult but I didn't notice much benefit other than a slight dopamine detox. However as someone who had testicular cancer I have seen the importance of ejaculating every so often to ensure your sperm is renewed and mobile. No ejaculation stops this process and your sperm becomes like an aged man!
@@theneatomisquito5046 I don't know if there Is an ideal time and depends on your age but I don't think it matters too much. Reducing porn is more important. In terms of sperm my Fertility clinic told me you should definitely be ejaculating every few weeks but that's for Fertility purposes.
@@theneatomisquito5046there is little validity in this happening. Your body will naturally orgasm during your sleep as a result of wet dreams which will renew your sperm
Constant dopamine release decreases your pleasure in every other aspects of your life. I never knew what depression felt like before I became addicted to porn. I never knew what a mental breakdown felt like. I know what it feels like now and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
In my experience 3-5 days of no fap its essentials, for Drive, will power and overall outlook on life/no depression. Multiple weeks of no fap is usless. Too many days of no fab youll come on to strong and repell woman. If you really want discipline, cut out sugar/carbs, processed foods. And regularly hit the gym.
You know if your scrolling on to porn way too much. It skews the mind especially for dudes that take that into a relationship and the quality of the intimacy and chisels at your being able to connect to the deeper emotional connection when engaging physically with a woman your serious with. But flapping to your imagination when your in a drought and especially Post Nut Clarity can be your life saver if you were all thirsty over a girl, tapped and realized you be on some BS cause the clarity shows you truly if the juice isn't worth the squeeze at times.

somewhere i was reading how you can think that jerking off is not affecting you when semen is creating a life its a powerful thing, keep that power in yourself
What people usually dont talk about is how porn addiction is actually a substitute for intimacy. That i think IS a big problem. Other than that.. yeah sure no fap does something, just like masturbating does something., It all depends what you want to achieve. If youre the type of person who will sit around after or even continue masturbating you should probably break the cycle. But if youre able to get up and excercise or do whatever.. what exactly is the point of nofap?
Agreed. I had problems with this issue long ago. I would say I'm not gonna, and do it nightly, late. I'd lose sleep. Punish myself in the gym and start all over. Nowadays, I hold out as long as I can. My rule is to get it from a woman. About 10 days or so I break. And then pursue women and bettering myself as much as I can. With success to both often 😉
You are going to think about the bigger picture, about the future, about how you can use Point B to get to Point C instead of just thinking of how to get from Point A to Point B. You are going to be a quick thinker with a great amount of grey matter in your brain and will naturally be drawn away from things that bring short term gratification, you will have a tiger like mindset with very strategic thinking. Anyway I just made a video on all this and went in deep check it out n stay blessed🙏❤️
32 years old, never had a woman. Don't think it's porn or masturbation, but it probably doesn't help either. I constantly desire women, but I can't get any. Even if quitting porn just reduces desire - it's a win for me. Never tried it as it was the closest thing to sex, but I will stop porn, from now on.
I have nothing to gain from telling you: NoFap works. I've experienced alot of the benefits that most men talk about. Is it some sort of placebo? I'm not sure, but I can only tell you these past 24 days, I've felt a surge of energy, confidence, ability to get things done that I don't necessarily want to do. Just being a better man in general.
Going for over 2 weeks is definitely beneficial!

I remember just being more organized, cleaner,Attractive and actually smarter as well, that was my final year in undergrad and I was the smartest I ever been I remember I relapsed late in the year and just lost it all again.
He's exactly right about how beating off/porn can kill your drive to find a real woman to be involved with.
This was a mature even minded science based discussion on the topic. Good job.

Though, I liked the after math experience, I consume less porn and know my body limits better.
these definitions have gotten really blurry. if people think NoFap means you can't have sex with your partner that's just silly

Hey, it's the one comment that is reasonable in a sea of nofap sycophants.

This is me.
I've found 2x per week every 3-4 days to be ideal.

When you answer to God will that be your excuse?
You hit a flatline, have to stick it out once you get through it within 6-12 weeks usually, you'll feel great.

Not making it past a week of no FAP, fine, whatever. But any porn is too much, there's no balancing it. It's brain rot
