Hello, I'm Vane and in this video, I used some previous ideas from an older video to style vintage dresses I've thrifted over the years. The idea here is that you can make any piece of clothing goth without having to buy from big goth brands using accessories. I used mostly vintage dresses here and it helps that they're all some of the most prized clothes I've ever thrifted, but I hope it still inspires anyone wanting to improve their style without breaking the bank. EDIT: The second dress with the red and mesh with flowers was actually off thredup and was $13.99! I got it confused with another mesh layered dress that I did thrift lol Just wanted to clear that up in case I ever use the dress again❤

I swear you find the prettiest dresses, and you always style them so well. Depending on the type of damage the Victorias secret gown has, maybe it's an easy fix. I was able to repair a gown from the 40s or 50s and make it wearable (even though I suck at sewing 😅)
@@demonicastar I think it has paint or something stained on it. I have no idea but maybe I'll try something to get it out
@vaneruin if it's a stain that is hard to remove, then you can try placing a lace applique or two to make the look intentional. It's too pretty not to wear out 🙂

the outfits are so good. i love how you revisited your old outfits and got inspiration from them. your love for red shows lol, you style red and black so well together
i think it would be cool if you did a video about your general styling techniques (e.g. are there certain types of dresses you would pair with certain kinds of shoes, or kinds of layering you usually do). you have a pretty distinctive style, but all your outfits look very interesting and varied !!!

7:30 I associate harnesses with the BDSM culture so it is hard to wear them out during the day without feeling like I am advertising something I don’t mean to advertise. I do have a few plain ones, but still. It also feels like a gun harness too…also not what I want to advertise. What do I do? 😢
those are pretty valid reasons tbh and I personally never wear them out because I live in a small town💀 they're reserved for concerts or a club. they're totally not necessary for goth looks but if you can maybe dress them down to not be the centerpiece that might help🤔
