I actually find it a bit endearing that when Vegas offered to light Pete's cigarette, instead of just walking right up to Pete, he respected Pete's space and stood further away from him to the point where he had to extend his whole arm to offer it to him. Like he understood the fact that he had hurt Pete and Pete might not want to be near him so he gave him space.
