- When you're looking for the best new food and best restaurants in Denver, it doesn't need to be expensive. 2023 brought a lot of good, new, and affordable cheap eats to the Denver area. In this video, I share a lot of my favorite new Denver cheap eats you should try in 2024.
From pizza to Chinese food to bagels to dumplings and more, 2023 was a great year for the Denver food scene. Some of the new restaurants that opened in Denver include MAKfam, Call Your Mother, Red Tops Rendezvous, Dough Counter, Linglon Dumpling House, and more. Of course, we had some food trucks like Kike's Red Tacos that turned into brick and mortar locations, but you'll find a few new places in the Denver food scene to try in 2024.

Im sad that $14 in denver is considered "cheap" now 😢
I agree, it’s sad 😭 the days of the $2.99 two cheeseburger meal are long gone.
It's pretty much cheap anywhere in America now, sadly
@@mvhcmaniac5616 This. It's not a Denver thing at all.
Oh am I glad that this video just randomly showed up in my recommended feed. Just secured a morning spot at my job so now I can go around and try out new food spots on my time off without the worry of time away from overnight work. Just looked at a few videos of yours and I'm ready to be able to go around Colorado and explore more than I could have. 😁
Shout out to Golden Saigon, whenever I get take out and have to wait they bring me a special drink without asking such a nice touch! And the food is so tasty and consistently good!
Moved here last August and just found this channel, can’t wait to check some of these places out. Thanks!
I get excited whenever I see Dinger from the Rockies in the background
Super happy that I came across this video. We recently moved back to the area after a torturous 16 years in Dallas! Man have things changed here!!!
Welcome back! The food has gotten a LOT better since you’ve been gone! 😀
LOve Linglon! Thanks for the tips.
Thanks so much for watching! Linglon is one of my regular spots!
Thanks for all the places to try!
Thanks so much for checking it out! 😀
If you like rehabilitated subways you should come down to Colorado Springs for a bite. We've got a place down here called Tlaquepaque. It's a taco place that even still has the yellow awnings. But unlike a subway, they serve actual food with like... seasonings and stuff.
😂 I gotta check it out!
Yes! great video, will definitely subscribe
Thank you so much!
Thank you brother! Your channel is a game changer. Can tell you really know what you're talking about. Can't wait to check out everything.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
You're back! Nice video.
Thank you! I had this cold from our kids that would not go away for a month+ and couldn’t film without sounding gross 😂
Have you ever been to Kikis Japanese causual dining? The atmosphere is super authentic, mom and pop, and reasonably priced imo.
I’ve been meaning to check it out! Thanks for the reminder!

You definitely should! Some of my favorite dishes are the Katsu curry, samurai steak, takoyaki, and if you like spicy... the kimchi ramen with the spicy miso paste. They also have a great selection of sake.
@@ogzombieblunt4626 appreciate the tip! I’ll get there soon!
Shhhhhhh!
golden saigon is hands down my favorite place and I had no idea that bahn mi joint was them aswell. Totally going to check it out, thanks.
Awesome! I hope you like it! It’s definitely my banh mi spot when I’m out that way.
This is great. I was wondering about good food in Denver that not a chain.
Thanks so much, Sean!
Linglon was solid. Great noodle soup
Agree! People always get the dumplings but miss out on the soup!
I like watching this on 2x speed
Same fam 😂
I live at Hampden and Yosemite. Several of those are so close to home, can’t wait to give them a try. Thanks
I’m so glad! I hope you have fun checking them out!
Great video. Also greatly looking forward to a Casa Bonita review from a true local.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Here’s that Casa Bonita video!

@@davechung oh cool! I hadn't realized this video had already been out so long oops. Thanks for letting me know!
Went to Golden Saigon with some friends on a whim a few months ago somehow having no idea it was gonna be some of the best food and honestly best restaurant experiences ive had in a long while, so knowing they got a banh mi shop right next door makes me all the happier
Even though Golden Banh Mi is a quick serve version, I bet you’ll love it!
How did I take this long to find you?! Better late than never. Thank you sooooo much for making these awesome videos. I will be a faithful subscriber for as long as you have your channel. More people around the Denver area need to know about you!
Thank you so much!! I’ve been doing it for a while, and I’m so happy when anyone finds them helpful!
Keep it up! This is handy for a guy like me who feels like he is living in the boonies out here in Thornton.
Thank you so much! I love when people find the videos helpful. That makes it all worth it!
Liang's in Broomfield is really good vietnamese food.
Love Dough Counter! I was recently diagnosed with Celiac so Ive had to say goodbye to a lot of my favorite places here in Denver, but their gluten free pizza and chicken tenders are great!
Great to know on the gluten free! I’ve had their Sicilian and NY style, but I’ll keep that in mind for friends who have Celiac! Thanks for sharing!
I have to suggest NBX Asian Cuisine down in Lone Tree. Got an amazing home cooking style of Chinese and the owner and chef is always friendly.
Lone Tree has been getting some good spots recently! This is def one of them!
Interesting suggestions, have anything good for those who live a bit north of Denver?
In the pretty new category, I like Gusto (a little pricier than the ones on this video), King Dumpling, and Waldo’s Chicken and Beer for something simpler!
Have you been to Dancing Noodle in Parker? That place has some pretty addictive Thai food. Has been around a long time and is a go-to when I get into town.
I have and agree! If I do a hidden gem video one day, it’ll definitely be on it. It’s quietly one of the best anywhere in the Denver area!
Bangkok Avenue in Broomfield! Their Grand Pad Thai is amazing! I think they opened last year, but might have been 2022.
Thank you! I haven’t had the chance to try it yet, but adding to my list!
Just discovered your channel, and i love your content. keep it up dude.
Thank you so much!
I definitely would’ve preferred if you specified a price range so I know what I’m getting into
New intro? It is nice.
same one! I’m just getting into the video faster 😀 I’m happy it works!
the best new york style, is Original New York pizza in broomfield.
I’ll check it out!
Anthony's in Aurora is pretty damn good also
subway industrial appliances shouldn't be slept on but yeah im already only one in and its got my entire attention bc i went to modern eatery today. I went bc i wants bahn mi with good quality chicken and it was on the wrong bread but was good enough, I will going to golden asap tho. My desperation for good sandwiches is being quenched throughout this video.
😀 I love the Subway vibes in there. Check out Golden Banh Mi next time you’re out that way! It’ll cure those sandwich cravings!
Go to Crown Burger for everything
You have to make a trip to Stumpy’s Pizza 🍕 down in Castle Rock! They have absolutely amazing pizzas and burgers!
do the bagels have the right density and size
They’re very good all around and the size is right. I just came back from NYC where I hit Leon’s and Baz on the LES. CYM isn’t trying to be a NY bagel, but they’re really good in their own way.
Chubbys chilli cheese frys
Let me know if you're ever down to collab! Would love to do some RUclips videos with a fellow Denver foodie!
That'd be awesome! I've seen your shorts! 😀 I'm traveling for a little bit, but let's try to connect this summer!
Dough counter looks good but it’s Detroit, not Sicilian.
Are you Vietnamese?
Korean!
Went to Casa Bonita in March. Took my brother 9 months, to get RESERVATION! Outside Security, can't eat "spicy", opted for Taco salad. Bland, too dark inside for thus Senior, too many kids loud & running around! WAY OVERPRICED, food marginal not interested in "experience". Won't go back!
Casa Bonita has always been about the experience, not the food. Why would you even bother?
Golden Banh Mi isn’t cheap
It’s not the cheapest, but when McDonald’s and Chipotle are $14, very few good, new places are right now!
Less than a half of a mile away, there is a Honeybaked Ham. For $15 you can get a pretty decent sandwich meal to split with someone. Golden Banh Mi is definitely not cheap.
There are some decent Mexican joints in that area too. You could sit down there and pay the same amount as GBM
Lots of these are not cheap
call your mother is kinda nuts overpriced, like $20 for a bagel
It’s more like $10 for a bagel sandwich 😀 A McCrispy from McDonald’s is almost $9. This is sadly how much things cost now 😭 I miss the $5 meal days too.
@@davechung a mccrispy is $5.19
@@Pikminarecool agree that the most basic one is! 😂 But the Deluxe and others are around $8.00 or so. The majority of CYM sandwiches are $12 and under. Not as cheap as 10 years ago, but nothing is.
Big thumbs down on MAKfam. Vegan hipster menu that is far from authentic.
I’m surprised you didn’t like it! The menu is not even close to vegan though - you might be thinking of another place?
@@davechung Gotta be - MAKfam is not vegan whatsoever. HIpster? ...maybe.
It's not enough to be cheap, it's got to be good too. And, most of these places are basic ass copies of better food in other places. Denver is hella mid.
That's the last town I'd choose to visit. What a clown show that place has become!
Liang's in Broomfield is really good vietnamese food.
