Could i connect my ps5 as the input to a monitor and an elgato 4k60 pro?
Did you have to change the EDID settings to get sound from that speaker via the optical port? Or did you just use the default copy settings?
EDID is only for video

Hey steve. Can i use this between a 4k tv and a 2k monitor via hdmi and maintain 4k120hz so long as the connection to the monitor isn't active (switched to the display port for pc use)?

No adapter will match it will drop both displays to the 1080p

If i have 2 outputs, one being a 4K tv and one being a 1080p monitor, will they be projecting 4K and 1080p respectively? Or, will it instead scale down my 4K tv to show a 1080p quality in order to match the lower output?

Sorry, iv got the logitech z906 5.1 surround sound and currently just have it wired up via an optical cable and it works but not the way that it should. I want to try out the adapter and was wondering if there would be any other settings I might have to change on the TV?
5.1 is auto on TV as long as your content support it. You can look into the setting and test PCM/Bitstream option. You can get the manual of your Tv online

@Tech Steve don't see anything about 1440p unfortunately but I'd assume since it'd does 120hz @ 4k it'd do 165hz @ 2k?

Can you please recommend a TV that is perfect for ps5 which has all the features loke VRR, ALLM, native 120Hz etc other than Oled tv bcoz of burn in issues.

@@elliottrrodriguezlopez2653 I never did purchase it, I already had the HD fury 4kvrroom purchased and on the way. So I’ve been using that with the elgato 4k60 pro .mk2 capture card. It serves as a an hdmi splitter like this would but with added features. It’s just really expensive.
