My neighbor started his trucking business, with a 1949 White 3000. It,as well as his other tractor,a '49 White WB:22T,were both powered by the White Flathead 6. Those old Whites are my favorite trucks! Thanks for preserving history!
My dad drove one just like that till 1968. 220 and a 10 speed Roadranger. I loved traveling with him. I would love to buy one and make it a ramp type car hauler.
This is absolutely out there...sounds so nice take good care of this Would love this with a fruehauf tanker going down that road we all dream of.,.Thank you for posting
Very cool truck! Your silicone spray stuff frightens me though. Don't ever use any sort of starting fluid spray to start a diesel. Ever. Besides the likely possibility of the glow plugs causing it to explode in your face, the high compression ratio of a diesel (combined with the spray fluid) will cause it to knock badly as it starts, causing severe engine damage. Dont do it!
220s do not have glow plugs. To properly start a 220 the compression release must be pulled, and the starter engaged until oil pressure comes up. Then release the compression release. The old NH will then almost always start.
