I only had the Remaster but remember: Redeem, Relieve, Receive, and most importantly BELIEVE!
Consider revisiting it, the remaster is a glorified emulated version of the PSP game and has a ton of input delay making the game a lot harder
@@SK91NO Yeah I can imagine. Stage 4 in both versions sucked ass because Sony had ONE JOB and didn't fix the timing mistake. But I can get the game on my PS3. Since they also had Um Jammer Lammy (Which I've beaten 2x), why wouldn't they have Parappa?

I didnt realise until today. There are a lot of people who didn't know you had to freestyle to get good points, not just copy what they are doing. RIP.
This one one of the few games where not being great at rhythm games made me better then my relatives.
They can style on me in DDR but couldn't get cool in Parappa!
This. The only way to actually get thru the whole game is to freestyle your own beats.

From what I remember, This is the Japanese copy, And from what I remember, It's still in English, But just Japanese for the captions
You can change it in the menu
there are much more mistakes and typos in the Japanese version's English

I remember my mom telling me that she played the first game on what I can assume to be the PS1, which was honestly cool to know.
I recently went through the second game (pretty much the remaster version) on the PS5 since I had a subscription of Playstation Plus going. It was really fun! Wish they could revive this series..
The owners tanked the franchise with a cheap anime and hurt all their IPs by mismanaging PSASBR.

You gotta time your inputs slightly before they show up, because PaRappa (And UmJammer Lammy) didn't have any buffering and were extremely precise in their rhythm detection if you weren't freestyling. It took me a while to figure that out as a kid. LOL.

PS1 cases are still top tier! I hate how they changed it from PS2 to present :( PS1 covers, design, and overall casing was such piece of art!

Find somebody who will build you a PS1 with x station, or perhaps try your hand at modding. You won't regret being able have nearly all of the PlayStation 1 collection in one convenient location running off of the actual hardware. Also being able to play fan translations on your tv.

Only passed because ACCIDENTALLY learned as a kid it was to be freestyle. I spent awhile failing at it. Got mad and pushed many and gain many points and learned how to play it.
