This is my first watch ever of Meghan and I was surprised how authentic she seems. (I watch Lacy C often, whom I enjoy for British/Royal/European history.) The fact that Meghan and Emily seem unaware of "individual rights" is nothing new in today's culture. The Collectivists, definitionally, have more adherents than Individualists ever will.

Emily spoke for 11 minutes and 58 seconds in total; MM took more speaking time and only asked about 5 questions at most as the interviewer... everything else that came out of her mouth was just redundant noise.

This conversation is very confusing. The company wants to represent everyday women? Meghan is far from that. She is using this organization to make jabs at the press while sitting in a mansion her father in law bought, nannies and mommy care for her child, while a maid is cleaning her home, someone is running to get her groceries to prepare her dinner, with a security team and this is all via the UK tax payers. Meghan's life has been privileged from childhood. Meghan won't have to worry about her child wanting a bottle during a zoom call bc she can send him to another area of the mansion with a nanny or to the guest home on her property with her Mom, all on a payroll of UK tax prayers. If this organization actually wanted to give a voice they could have picked a young black girl in college studying to become a journalist.

I commented here, 6 months ago, about how Meghan plays with her hair SO much that someone needed to tell her to stop. I swear to God, she stopped. When she was in the UK, it was always touching hair, moving hair, hair, hair, hair. She hardly ever touches her hair anymore!! I commented that the lady she interviewed, head of the 19th, didnt touch her hair one time, the whole interview. 😅😅😅

I just can't with Meghan. I guess if I just listened and didn't look when she speaks I wouldn't be so distracted and can focus on her words. The over exaggerated constant hand movements, often cupping her hands and bringing them to the side while she speaks is so distracting. I just wanted to reach through the camera and hold her hands down. She constantly looks up to the ceiling, down to the ground or dramatically to the side, but rarely at the camera like the other lady did. I'm not sure how anyone can engage with her while she speaks when she does all these things. She needs to sit still, look at the camera and just speak. No need for all the other theatrics.

After reading the comments below I decided to take a stopwatch and calculate what percentage of the conversation (This was not intended to be a conversation, but an interview) was spoken by MM versus ER, the interviewee. I’m sure no one will be surprised to learn that the person who did the interviewing spoke for 54% of the time.
Though there were many moments when MM looked bored to death, none more so than at 14 minutes and 24 seconds. And boy did she perked up when Emily offered to ask her a question. I laughed my head off when MM referred to herself as “wearing a journalist’s hat”.
Maybe she should watch some successful interviewers for some homework. Out of the total of 24 minutes and 39 seconds, Megan spoke for 13 minutes and 14 seconds.

I just came here to see how accurate Kyle Dunnigan's impression of her actually is. I'm not disappointed. That guy has talent...
This is the worst interview I have ever come across. Meghan Markle is the interviewer. She is acting as though she is on the hot seat and being interviewed by Emily. She needs to ask questions to Emily, Find out more about the organization. The works they are doing. The questions have no focus, for each question she beats about the bush and digressed just about everywhere to talk about herself on and Emily has to dig through a pile of Megan's random thoughts and musings and guess what she wants to ask and speak and the message gets lost in Meghan's ramblings. There was no direction in the interview and everything got jumbled up. Meghan needs to make this interview less of herself and more of the interviewee. Keep her questions short and succinct. Less theatrics and focus on the work and the person across. The message was lost. I didnt learn anything about the 19th and their works from the interview. A lost opportunity.

Meghan was interviewing and she starts asking questions with “we”. When she asks questions she has to include her opinion and what she imagines the interviewee thought, why not just ask questions like a regular interview and show emotion to the answers, not while asking.

What a great idea. You are giving a platform to particularly those underserved by and underrepresented in American media. Very well. Only that when I went to the site intending to support this I find that I have to pay a membership to become and ally ($5-$19 a year), an advocate ($20-199 a year) an ambassador ($200-999 a year). Wow so the people that you feature in your news or those in their communities that may be from a disadvantaged background can be news but not ambassadors unless they pay this amount of money. I cannot think of a single mum with low income paying this amount of money. That is a real shame.

Diane is commenting on the hypocrisy of Meghan Markle interviewing the founder of the 19th and what their mission stands for as it is well known that Harry and Meghan have been accepting handouts from Prince Charles for years now.
Their mortgage is 9.5 million, not 7 million. You say they are paying for all of their bills themselves. What proof do you have that Harry and Meghan are paying their mortgage payments? Or is Prince Charles paying for them? Just because someone takes out a mortgage does not mean that they are making the mortgage payments.

Her uncle got her the ambassador job, her 2nd husband got her the suits job, and her 3rd husband made her a household name, and all her clients on yachts gave her the means to travel. My thoughts exactly. Every “question” had way too much of her own opinion, and really lacked what you’d what from a moderator. Moderator do just that, they guide the conversation. They probably should have said this was a “conversation” between these two, rather than Meghan being the “moderator”.
Nice point and I agree. What I don't understand is how someone with a million dollar mansion, who doesn't work, has nannies, cleaning lady, staff, security, etc. and got inserted into the narrative here. She doesn't represent the majority of people, so it was a terrible idea to insert her into this block of women - who are high contributors. Megan has done nothing compared to these women. That aside, we know how she got put into this video. MM was to interview Emily, about how she got started, how she made the business a success, etc. I was really looking forward to what Emily had to say. Instead, MM talked about herself, how bad she has it, how bad the US is after not living here for 10 years, etc. One has to ask - after living in the UK and Canada, why even bother coming back here if it's so horrible. It was another complaining tirade and pity party for MM. She just continues to embarrass herself. As Lady C said, she should try putting a muzzle on it.
It was an interview andva discussion to help sell what Emily created. Meghan added a lot to support 19th and in the end the way it was done brought more people to the causes. You cannot bring someone in like Meghan unless you want her to speak and that was what she did. Why not have a list of questions on a piece of paper and hand it to Emily. That's not the intent. Meghan gave a lot of good information that supports Emily. You people just couldn't stand the fact Meghan was sharing with an Alumni and that they enhanced each other.
