but I just felt all the love he has for his wife, baby & baby on the way...& that his Mum is with him. She was a woman with such a heart full of love for her boys. My gut has always been that they had her killed- no matter what was said.

N.M. Patterson, the fame from a show on the USA network vs the level of attention on the British royal family is incomparable. Although I'm sure she knew things would change, but it is impossible to grasp it unless you have been through it. And very few people have been in that situation.
What's confusing to me is since this interview, they said they wanted to have privacy and yet they've given several more interviews?
Many of you are still Not getting it! “Privacy” here is Not talking about living the life of a hermit and away from Media.
It’s talking about preventing the intrusion of Media and the control of the Royal Family - and having control of their own narrative, press and interviews.
Furthermore, how could you have the “privacy” that you people are talking about..and run global charities? Think about it!
There are MANY people who run global charities who don’t consistently give, post, and then aggressively promote interviews. Pew Charitable Trust, one of the largest in the world, and had NEVER utilized such promotion, had thrived for decades quietly even in this age of explosive social media. You can help millions of people without such self promotion.

We need to disregard the dad and not give him more fame. I feel for this beautiful young woman, her husband and children.
I feel kind of sorry for Meghan's dad, who got caught up in the intrigue and the web of lies spinned by the vicious British press, and the money they flashed in his face. According to reports, he was a good dad to Meghan growing up. I hope Meghan can forgive him, and they can repair their relationship.

Meghan's mom has been very dignified and silent, even when it must have been painful for her to see how her daughter's name was dragged and trashed in the tabloids by her father and his family.

My question is why didn't Oprah fact check any of this? I know its entertainment, but she's putting false claims out on her show, and Oprah (and the shows producers) should share in the responsibility of that. Journalists are required to be able to support their stories, even if they don't name sources. Things like "Archie was denied a title because of his colour". He doesn't have a title because he is more than 2 generations removed from the sitting monarch. Thats British law. When George Cambridge was born the queen had to put a motion to parliament to give him titles, and only did so because the Cambridge children are direct in line. None of the queens other great-grandchildren were given HRH. This should've been easy for Oprahs team to confirm. It looks like they didn't even care that they were producing a programme, smearing many people, without any evidence. Oprah is officially the tabloid.

Because its aimed at Americans. They want to believe that the Royal Family are like a bunch of cartoon baddies sitting over the ocean, still getting angry about 1776 and wanting slaves and colonies back and that their time is spent trying to plot plans to take away their freedoms and liberties and guns etc etc. Oh and everyone is a white racist in Britain, who lord it over the black and asian folk, who don't have the freedoms and liberties and more freedoms and rights of the USA. Your right, they could just google some facts, but they don't want the truth to get in the way of what they ignorantly believe.

As much as I don't like Meghan, people didn't understand what she was really saying. She was saying that they wanted to change the rules for Harry's children so that even when Charles became king and Harry's children became the grandchildren of the Sovereign in the male line, that Harry's children still wouldn't get titles. That was Charles' plan, that only the children of the eldest child of the Sovereign or 1st in line to the Throne get titles. For example, Charles wants to change it do that in future only George's children will get titles, but not Louis', even when they are the grandchildren of William in the male line, and be treated just like Charlotte's children.
That way, the number of princes and princesses would gradually reduce. That's why even when Charles became king, Archie and Lilibet didn't become a prince and princess, there was still wrangling going on behind the scenes. Charles no doubt gave in because then it would look like he made the decision based on the fact that they're mixed race, even though this was something he'd long planned, even before Meghan came along. That's something that will no doubt be implemented to affect the next generation, Louis' children.
I would be crushed if my dad, betrayed my trust for money, also!! As for her half sister, she's a piece of work, just looking for any attention!

Not only that, he was doing the most when she first got married. Making SURE he was saying things that would cause total discord at any family gathering. Talk ish about the Queen and crap about Harry, while Meghan was just getting to know them all. He was going for blood.
I am so glad that Meghan has finally said out loud what I have thought about the British Tabloid's obsession with her father and her father's side of her family. It struck me as strange that during all this time NOBODY on her "Mom's" side of the family has said anything negative about Meghan. And that is the side of the family that raised her. But as soon as Meghan started dating Prince Harry, all of the Markle's came out of the woodwork with all that negativity to say. She is 39 years old. The last time she saw Samantha Markle was when she was 21, and then the time before that Meghan was 11 years old. 2 meetings doesn't make you close family. The Markle's were only in it for the money and they didn't give a damn about Meghan, her child or her husband.
