This is my first time seeing a Dan Patrick interview. He is very good at listening and asking compelling and interesting questions. As a Dodger fan, this was such a great interview. Dave Roberts was incredibly thoughtful and honest in his answers, and I was very impressed with that. I think it was super awesome of Dan to ask Roberts questions about his playing days, especially about his career home runs and the playful joking that he was juicing. I will subscribe to this channel and if I see that Dan is interviewing someone I am interested in, I will definitely tune in. Great job on this one!!

its so tempting to start "feeling yourself", when you have the lineup he has. But the reason a lot of folks are surprised he said it, the way he said it, is because we dont hear these sort of guarantees in MLB...you see a lot in other team sports, and all the time in some faction of professional wrestling, where EVERYBODY, including commentators, pop off.
In baseball, YOU SHOULD NOT DO WHAT HE DID, because baseball players are so keen to being blown off and made to look foolish. Now, the target is on his club's back, and clubs in that division will be looking for blood....but whats even more interesting is how Roberts would have NEVER said something like this, if he wasn't certain about getting an extension.

Just like that, they were eliminated by the Padres and this comment will always follow him. Actions speak louder than words.

Mlb is not trust worthy. Fake injuries are a problem
