I love how the guy at the end said "TAKE IT" is showing real fear and not be like unrealistic movie heroic moment and straight away just give it to the guy on the other side and said "Take this and save the galaxy". They show the true horror of him trying to save his life first when he know he's doom, he accepted his fate and just "TAKE IT!!"
It's so real. He knows he's gonna die. You can see it in his face and hear it in his voice. He's terrified. But he is not gonna die for nothing. His death is gonna mean something. He has a mission to accomplish. That is what real courage looks like. Pissing your pants scared, but doing what needs to be done anyhow.
Thank you! That's the problem with a lot of movie scripts nowadays. We are fully capable of understanding the gravity of sacrifice without it being spelled out for us in crayon.
As evil as Vader was, he supposedly respected courage and determination. That's why he gave that guy a quick and clean death by stabbing him through the heart, as opposed to crushing his windpipe or slamming him against the ceiling and bisecting him.
This is a real gem. The best reaction to anything on youtube. It is absolute real, she doesn't know she is being recorded, she is a real fan, she understand what is going on, she values the characters, and she goes through some really deep emotions. This must be preserved in a Star Wars museum.
Ormi Ader let me put it to you this way my best friends fiancée was the same way, she was crying the whole time..she couldn't contain herself.. However after the movie was done she made a comment.. She said that if they had blood anywhere (for the Vader scene) it would have been something STRAIGHT out of a horror film. That's just how intense it was for her at the time, and she said the Vader scene freaked her out the most
Tell her that it's even worse because Vader was holding that door with force, notice that it opens when he stabs him? He was using force fear and he got stronger when it got instilled into everyone of "you're going to die here, nothing you can do about it."
I love how shes connecting the dots at 0:27, n how she completely loses it when the tantive V escaped at 1:30. That means she godamn knows what that ship meant. Take care of her man, u take care of her👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

And for that…I thank everyone involved in this film. I got to be 9 again.
Oh yes. There’s nothing sad to this scene but the emotions it creates in the span of minutes is astonishing. I bet the whole cinema was in tears of pure excitement and nostalgia after this, old or young.
Exactly. I saw the original Star Wars as a kid in 1977 and remember being in awe of it. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before, especially in the Science Fiction genre. Rogue One captured everything I felt back then. Imagine if the original films had the CGI effects this film did. ANH and ESB would've been even more impactful than they already are.

Rogue One was the only film that made people react the way the original trilogy did, particularly ANH & ESB. And this moment is the BEST moment among the prequels, the sequels, and R1 and Solo. The scene, and the reaction, bring me to tears. It’s our childhood coming full circle. It’s what we were SUPPOSED to feel in Ep III when Anakin got chopped up by Obi-Wan and had to don the suit for Palpatine. This. Was. Awesome. Thank you both.

At that point I was already laughing so hard at all the stupidity in the movie it didnt really matter.
Why would Darth Vader think the plans are on the disc? He didn't see them be downloaded onto it, all he knew is that they were on the ship and he would have to find them.
kombatres You're an idiot. He couldn't have known which specific rebel had the plans. Besides, he was being shot at by multiple people. He is powerful, but even he has to protect himself. He can't do 10000 things at once, you know? And tell me, what exactly was so stupid about this movie? The fact that pretty much all main characters died? Because that was actually really refreshing for Star Wars. This movie was made as extra information on how the rebels got the plans. The phrace "Many Bothans died to bring us this information" has meaning now. It just adds to the already existing story. I thought it was great! So again, tell me what was so "stupid" about the movie.

@I Am The One Who Knocks Gotta disagree with you there, mate (and with the original poster you were replying to). Mandalorian was probably the best bit of Star Wars to come out since Empire, just nudging out Rogue One (which had easily taken 2nd place for me). Its everything you want in a Star Wars story. Gritty western feeling; fantastic, memorable droids; a "cool" main character; engaging companions; galaxy spanning, with meaningful travel to other planets; Jawas (Suga has become my new war chant); a great soundtrack (I cant think of a single bit of the score from any sequel movie); etc.
I love this because how she is reacting is EXACTLY what was happening inside my head when I watched this scene in the theater. Crying blubbering endorphin nostalgic madness. But of course being a full grown man all I could do was slink back into my seat and try to maintain my composure so I wouldnt look "stupid". Thank god for her. Im so jealous of her freedom.
Man, I remember being in the cinemas on my birthday when I saw this. As soon as I heard Vader's breath, I clutched the arm rests or my seat really fucking tightly, my whole body went rigid, I got goosebumps and yelled "OH FUCK!!!" at the top of my lungs (in a full cinema). I had this moment of "it's going to cut away and we wont see it, but that's okay - it's just like the younglings thing. Wow. Cool. I'm happy." What followed will stick in my memory forever. As soon as he lurched forwards, I remember tears streaming down my face as I let out the most terrified scream of my life. The entire hallway scene. I just remember being truly afraid of Vader again. I love watching this - feels like she got what I did from it. My whole childhood was brought back of thinking Vader was the coolest and most badass mofo ever.
Me, too. Wonderful to see someone feeling for the character, not just blankly staring or just talking about special effects, goofs or making inappropriate jokes. If she is like this with other movies and t.v. shows she is a great example to any young people who watch with her.
The most beautiful and genuine reaction I've ever seen. I don't know why, but watching this brings tears to my eyes as well. The force is strong with this girl.
When I first introduced my wife to Star Wars I started with the prequel trilogy knowing that she would at the very least like the love story and she liked Hayden, the other reason was that Vader’s redemption at the end is more meaningful if you see his fall first. I watched it the other way around and always thought it kinda ruined it because you know what happens. Now having said that I saved this film for last because the emotional impact the final half hour brings is brilliantly done. I remember my wife being upset as everyone was killed but then realized as the plans where handed off and the ship drops knowing who’s ship it is and the overall meaning she was crying but kept saying “it wasn’t for nothing”
I've never actually tried it, because.... well... you can't really unwatch something. But I've always wanted to try the 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6 order (sometimes skipping 1 entirely, though I disagree). The point being that you get the dramatic reveals and see Vader as a bad guy, then you learn who he is, get his back story, and then finish on a redemption arc and a "true" ending to the story. i.e. best of both worlds. It's an interesting idea though. You kind of give up on the idea of finishing an entire story arc in one go, and instead inject the prequels into the middle of the story. (Also, I do recognise this is 3 months old this comment)
Damn, saving his redemption arc for last, after a grueling grieve filled trip down memory lane. That's actually a pretty interesting idea. It's too bad that I've got such an ingrained idea and opinion of the prequels and OGs that I really can't shake my feelings about them easily anymore.
This is the most truly emotional and raw reaction I have seen. I think this could even be the first real "reaction" video that got any sort of traction on RUclips. From what I understand, she was a missionary who had been OS for about a year and had no idea that Rogue One had been made. She was a massive Star Wars fan so her friends invited her to watch it. They had seen it and knew that she would lose her mind at the end and decided to record her reaction. I envy the pure surprise she has. There is no such thing as this in the modern spoiler saturated internet.
Agreed dude! I wish disney would swallow their pride and stick to standalone stories in the Star Wars universe!! They cocked up the sequel trilogy by using SW to cash grab!!
Only the ending. The characters were uninspiring and lackluster. The film just seemed grainy and dull compared to the fun universe that came before it.
I am 42 years old and I saw A New Hope for the first time when I was seven years old. The movie had my mouth hanging open, but I do remember I said out loud how did they get to that point. The movie came on with the Star Destroyer chasing the ship. I was like what happened before. Fast forward 30 years when Rogue One came out. I remember I rented it and came home to watch. My wife at the time was laughing at me because of how I was acting like when I realized what I was watching. I felt like that seven year old boy again. By the end of the movie I was on my feet cheering like I was a football game. Rogue One was one of the best movies ever made. Found out a lot about Star Wars in that movie. How Luke became “Red Five”, Why when in a New Hope the chair at the conference room table was empty, and how they got the Death Star plans. Great Movie

This is what Disney and their current Lucssfilm story board will NEVER understand. Bring in people that love and understand Star Wars lore, and us, the fans, WILL return.
This is why Rogue One is such a good movie. There aren't many movies, especially star wars movies, that give the fans EXACTLY what they want, but this one comes as close as they ever have. Great story, acting, action, visuals, everything.
Vader breathes: *GASP* Vader's lightsaber appears: OMFG!!! Vader casually walks down the hallway unleashing his never-seen-on-film might: *terror and joy*
That sequence with Vader just re-established the terror he brings to the galaxy- the power, the saber, the moves the music oh my goodness they did a great job
Vader to me is the perfect villain, he is cold and ruthless. He gives off a Jason vibe with his silence and the fact that you cant stop or kill him. Then to top it off in episode 6 they humanize him, and show that even he has a conscience and saves his son from his master. They even manage to make us feel bad for Vader, despite all his wrong doings. George Lucas deserves all of his wealth for such excellent imagination and writing.
Rogue one is probly the best Star Wars film we’ve gotten out of the new ones despite being an anthology film. Same for solo which was a fun film despite critics and the box office

It’s the BEST Star Wars movie.
Is it underrated? It’s straight up my favorite
I watched Star Wars as a kid back in ‘77 when it released in theatres. Rogue One is the only post original trilogy movie that gave me the same sense of wonder, excitement, and pure joy 7yr old me had when the credits rolled back then.
@@jamesross6219 I absolutely loved how they seamlessly integrated it with the original at the end. Took me back to when I first watched Star Wars 😊
Rogue one was very clever. It makes the Death Stars fatal error perfectly understandable now and it also shows how episode 4 began very nicely
Yes, it improved the story which was relatively poorly made back then.I askey myself where the fuck a deadly leak in a multitrillion project would come from(i suspectrd it was plot armor), but now it makes more sense. They made a whole movie just to eliminate the plot armor feeling.
And also show us why the empire is so bad. We don't know it like it is just bad. They showed us that "work camp" too.

Unlike the sequel trilogy, Rogue one contributed and tied into the existing story/lore without trying to ruin, deny or remove it.
This is why I miss these Anthology films. Because they are built on great ideas, just don’t go too much rewriting the past. If future movies weren’t canceled, we wouldn’t have gotten The Mandalorian, which is worth it.

Sarcasm?
I love how the guy at the end said "TAKE IT" is showing real fear and not be like unrealistic movie heroic moment and straight away just give it to the guy on the other side and said "Take this and save the galaxy". They show the true horror of him trying to save his life first when he know he's doom, he accepted his fate and just "TAKE IT!!"
Agreed
Perfect description of his last moment of life.

He can't do 10000 things at once, you know? And tell me, what exactly was so stupid about this movie? The fact that pretty much all main characters died? Because that was actually really refreshing for Star Wars. This movie was made as extra information on how the rebels got the plans.
Rogue one was a shit film with an amazing endning. I will never understand why they tried to cram that story into a single movie. It should've been at least 2 if not 3 movies.
Vader is that badass that his cape flows in the void of space
Well it’s a vacuum, so....
Fun fact: Vader actually used the force to make his cape flow to be more intimidating to others
@@ScruffyNurfHerder I don’t think that’s how vacuums work. If the pressure in space and in the room they were in is the same they won’t be sucked into space.
@@walf6470 everyone is joking around. Lol
He's not in a void. He's inside the docking shield. But, yeah. lol
Rogue One was the absolute perfect transition from Revenge of the Sith to a New Hope. It brought back all those pure experiences I had being a young kid and watching that opening chase sequence back in 1977.
And now, the perfect transition from Andor to a New Hope. (Well, once andor is complete)
"I can die happy now" Yup one minute of Lord Vader throwin' down is all it takes.
And it's done so perfectly too
Wow! She embodied all my emotions the first time I saw Rogue One. I cried and rejoiced all over again just watching her.
