Not going to lie. This may be one of my favorite videos you have done. There are some other top contenders out there (Drawing Objects in Perspective is probably my all time favorite) but this one is definitely up there. Great content, your fun sense of humor, and it was informative. I feel like your going to realize come June or July that this channel is going to be the sweet-spot, your going to have the most fun here, and your really going to have engaged audiences. Your other channel is great (the reason I became a member the first place) but it has a specific purpose (reviews mainly) with this channel you can really open your creative doors and just have fun, and when your having fun it shows and we have more fun. Just my two cents for the day lol
Thanks man!! you're one of the only people in the world who knows I've been plugging away on these for the past month or two. I appreciate you cheering me on because getting one of these out the door can be a grind. But it feels hella good to have it posted 😁
@@BradsArtSchool Hey no problem. Happy to be a cheerleader for ya! And yea I know you have been busting your butt on these, but keep at it, I know its a grind and probably long days and nights sometimes, but the end result will definitely be worth it! Thank you for not selling this channel too btw. The content would not be the same without your creativity!
Your storyboards are completely awesomely adequate, they don't need to be anything else! It's like people that hand-illuminate their journals... they're kind of missing the point. It's great if that's what they enjoy, but they certainly don't need to!
I’m planning this year to make animated short stories as well but just needed some confidence boost before starting first video. Your last 3 videos on main channel and on this channel, including this video, encouraged me to start and try whatever how it may turn out. Thanks Brad, looking forward to seeing more content from you this year and all the best.
Thanks so much Titus! A few years back you posted a video about tech RUclips and how it prizes speed and timeliness over quality. And I feel like I've been on that hamster wheel for years. This channel is me trying to step off that wheel. Quality content that is hopefully more evergreen than tech. Anyway, I just wanted to say double thanks for the comment here because coming from you, someone who totally knows that grind, it means a lot!!
Brad, I’m glad you’re stepping outta your comfort zone and exploring a newer frontier with you art, it’s really inspiring. To which I wanted to thank you, as it’s helped me to want to do the same. This was a great start and I know plenty of others will appreciate it as well. Good Luck w/this channel and I can’t wait to see you do next. [now i just have to commit to your art programs {🤦♂️ i have had ‘em and hadn’t started them yet, officially}, along with some other projects also; but THANX! for the added ‘New Year’ push]
Nicely broken down Brad, planning, script, story boarding your so right best use of your time before you start the big stuff. Your story board reel was perfect, does it capture the scene and easy to follow, explain what the focus of that scene is, totally!!!😊 think it was a great example, especially including a voice over/read. Can’t wait to see more, 🙂
On free alternate software , there are quite a few . Just as a note , Blender has a full 2d animation mode , which is quite a bit easier then the 3d mode and not too bad for beginners . Krita has an animation mode too . The 3d and 2d mode can be mixed but its not a necessity . I think the 2d mode is very much built for 2d artists which is why its a quite a bit easier then learning the full 3d suite and features .
7:23 - Have you seen Storyboarder by Wonder Unit? It is free and open source. And, it looks pretty cool. (I haven't had time to really use it yet. I spend too much time watching cool dudes on RUclips. 😄) I am pretty sure that you can import the audio and then keyframe the drawings. The coolest part is that it has this 3d space where you can dump in human figures and objects. Move them around to approximate the scene you want. Then just adjust for the next scene. Kinda like stop motion, but with longer jumps between stops. Then, you can still draw on top of those. Plus, you can jump out and edit any scene in your favorite art program too. Then, you can generate a little "animated" video of the whole thing. Heck, for some of my purposes, that is all I will need. Because I am not trying to make "ART." I am just trying to convey a few ideas.
i was just like you, watching videos and reading posts about manifestation, wondering why it wasn’t working for me. i tried everything-affirmations, visualization, the whole deal-but nothing changed. then i came across Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it all started making sense. chapter 3 opened my eyes to the energy i was putting out, and that shift was life-changing.
