-Great video Professor David, wonderful content always ... !!! -The philosophy of using VNC is always to have a Server running on the machine waiting for a connection, and a Viewer which is the program that accesses the machine running the server, so we have to install this to on the machines (the server on the machine you want to access, view or control remote, and the Viewer on the machine you use to control the others), in some VNC distribution the program are separate (server ans viewer) and in others the 2 programs are install together. -So I always used VNC when I worked at the government company because it was the best way to remotely solve problems in the machines. -We used RealVNC there, which can also be installed on Windows, MAC and Linux (even on Raspbery Pi) and even today I use it because it is VNC but it has 128 bit AES-GCM encrypted connection according to what I read in their white paper. -Despite that it in the free version can only be installed on only 5 different machines per user, which is enough for the machines you have at home now and infinitely practically in the paid version. -They have a difference if I understood correctly that the VNC server running on the local machine has to connect to their network and their server creates the VPN tunnel that connects the user's machines. -In local area networks without internet connection I would use the same solution that you used on video more simple with no encryption, or use with a VPN tunnel to control machines over WAN or Internet. -Thanks for the knowledge ... !!!

RealVNC also allows remote control through the Internet, just like Teamviewer. RealVNC even has a FREE account option that allows you to control up to 5 PERSONAL computers, without any limitations. All with ENCRYPTED connections.
Hi David. I have tried the above video and it works cool :) . I have a question now. I have a macbook pro 16 and a windows pc. besides screen sharing or RDP, how can I use it as extended display. For example, from macbook, I would like to use windows machine as secondary / extended monitor. Such that macbook primary display, macbook extended display over windows machine and windows machine on its own primary display should continue to work. Do you have any ideas ? I saw someone posted about spacedesk software. But is there any trick in vnc itself ?
Hi Sir David, It's Anup, one of your student from uedmy, would like to ask, is this vnc good to monitor the computer which is in different places or is there any chance to get attacked by anyone because either we use mobile networks or wifi networks for using our system/device. Thank you (Note: which computer I am talking about also belong to me)

Failed to initialize NLA, do you have correct Kerberos TGT initialized ? Failed to connect, CredSSP required by server (check if server has disabled old TLS versions, if yes use -V option). please help me
At the beginning, thank you for the excellent explantation. And it works fine. I'm currently struggling with the problem of how to increase the resolution of the PC window. On a iMac 5K it looks microscopic. Can you help me pleas? Best regards!
Awesome vid. One problem I had when controlling a mac from a windows machine via vnc, was that the screen would freeze up when I switched between desktops in the mac using Control+Left/Right. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I actually had an Idea. We have had a rise of breakins and thefts in my neighborhood and actually thought of setting up my laptop to have vnc or something similar in the even that it got stolen I would hopefully be able to gather enough OSINT data to build a case for law enforcement to recover the laptop. The only catch is that obviously the laptop could not have any sensitive or personal information stored to it and it could not be password protected as I would want them to be able to log in. Is this something that's feasible?
Hmm... I wonder how many levels or nesting (for lack of better term) you can go with this. Not a practical use I would say, just a crazy thought that popped in my head 😆
for vnc we can use ssh for secure remote we can add custom ca also crack is available for vnc enterprise we can host this as a server also we can sync with ad for authentication purpose upto 1000-100000 host can be added for enterprise version
