Excellent video. Forbidden Lands is one of my favorite rpgs that I’ve never actually played. I have the box set and the monster manual. All of them, as you described, are beautiful books. I can’t convince my regular players to switch systems, so I was happy to see the solo option. One of these days I’m going to run it.
I'm glad you liked it. Recently, I could convince my group to play it. Looking forward to see how it goes. I hope you can convince your group soon! I showed this video to them: ruclips.net/video/ua5JO4853FU/видео.html
Great video bud. I was looking to try this out but endee up getting Mork Borg but I just saw bundleofholding has this, vaesen, mutant year zero and more together for very cheao all pdfs but still 😁
You mention that the combat is cumbersome for solo play, have you seen the combat rules from walking dead? They are much simpler and both use the same system, might be able to port them in to FL and lighten up the fighting game
Can I ask how you deal with the journey and camping rules when you have only one PC? It's literally impossible for one PC to sleep, cook and patrol for example. Having a companion helps but I still found that part of the rules poorly addressed in the book of beasts.
Usually I have a companion. However, if my PC is alone, I just roll a survival roll to find a place to sleep and, if an event is going to happen, I roll a Insight check with -1 penalty to see if I wake up before the encounter. But Forbidden Lands is a dangerous environment, one should not try to travel unaccompanied. 😅
I played it using Advanced Tiny Dungeons. For the monsters, I try to categorize them into: Low, Medium, High, Heroic, or Solo; and then I add some traits accordingly. It is, most of the time, pretty straightforward.
I agree that Forbidden Lands is awesome for solo.
I liked when you played it by using Tiny Dungeons rules set.
🥇 You deserve this for the beautiful logo 👍
Thanks! 😃

I love the combat rules from TWDRPG. I have few actual plays here in the channel.
I am really tempted to use them in FL.
@@CavernadoLekkis I haven’t had the chance to use them yet, but I’m very interested in how they play!!
thanks for sharing the experience
Yes sir!!!! LOVE this game! 😀

@@CavernadoLekkis thanks! I just noticed you have a whole Playlist on forbidden land solo play. I'll take a look at it to see how you handle it :)
@@marcodv93 I hope you like it.
Nevertheless, keep in mind that it is YOUR game, so adjust the rules as you see fit. No one will judge you! 😅
Hi, you play forbidden lands with tiny dungeon ruleset. how do you adapt the monsters from forbidden lands for tiny dungeon? thx martin
I played it using Advanced Tiny Dungeons.
For the monsters, I try to categorize them into: Low, Medium, High, Heroic, or Solo; and then I add some traits accordingly.
It is, most of the time, pretty straightforward.
A unica coisa que não gostei nesse rpg são os talentos e magias, mas é um material bem completo e um sistema bem sólido.
