What's the best size rod I am using 7 foot medium heavy have trouble with my dough balls falling off throwing them off do you think 7 1/2 ft would make the dough balls stay on better

7’6 heavy is low as i will go. If i can have my choice its 7’11 extra heavy.

Thanks I have three 8 foot ocean rods. It says it is 8 ft but if you use a tape measure it's about 3 in short from being 8 ft
