yazz girl. Black women need to be going in for those scalp treatments for our hair loss!! My trichologists told me to try to keep the stress as low as possible and I shampoo with their sulfate product every week! We keeping those follicles. Definitely get that vitamin D if you are not outside in the tropics swimming in the Ocean every day. Lol! 😅 I have used vitamin D, B ( biotin is B), iron and saw palmetto before and I believe that they do work!!
I am fighting like hell to keep every hair follicle lol.. The initial discovery, I was in shocked and acted immediately and took the medication that was prescribed. Now I am making sure to get second and third opinions to ensure I am on the right path. I had been taking vitamin d for awhile since my PCP noticed my numbers were low a year or two ago. Unfortunately I don't have the ocean near by lol. The vitamins my trichologist gave me have all of those great things and folate.
@@SimplyTamz sounds like a plan! I shaved half my head so clearly.. I'm not as into hair as I was before. My plan is to retire to the tropics near the Ocean. 😅
This was so educational and informative! You’ve taught me so much about being mindful of products. If it don’t feel right, get it out of your hair!!! 💯 I’m so excited to continue to track and follow your journey back to regaining all your hair back! It’s well on its way! 🙌🏽💖🎉🥳
Awe THANKS Shelly. I learned a lot in my appointment about whole wellness. From the food I eat and the supplements I take. I am so glad I decided to go. Thank you for being supportive and encouraging me. I really do appreciate your support. ❤️
Hey hair twin, lol. I'm currently colored treated and experiencing hair loss. After blood work and 2 dermatologist appointments; I found out my issue was related to an expired oil I used on my scalp and past stress. My dermatologist told me she no longer sees inflammation, my follicles look healthy, and there is no scarring. My dermatologist gave me minoxidil and finasteride, but I'm holding off on that and trying the ayurvedic route first. I too have thinner strands growing in. I plan to try this new multivitamin for women that has alot of the ingredients your trichologist suggested. I was wearing wash n go's predominantly. I didn't follow BGC method to the T, so my hair strands were spared. I still used leave ins and deep conditioned my hair. I think I'm going to wear twists for a while. Good luck on journey and I'm here for support if needed💙💜💙
Hey Twin, lol. I actually have a stress spot on the right side of my head. It developed when I was deployed my second time across seas. It's wild to think how oil and other natural products can be so destructive when they are old, not formulated correctly, or stored correctly. I take minoxidil and dutastride. The trichologist gave me supplements that I have been taking recently. I will leave a link for the supplements in the description. Just so you can see the ingredients list. I love two strand twist. I can't wait to see how your hair journey progresses. Thank you for the support. You message really touched my heart. 💙💙🩵
@SimplyTamz Hey, I checked out the supplements. The ingredients look great. You may want to check with your PCP the Vitamin A level is pretty high, and if you are taking it daily, it may have a negative effect. Also, I plan to use Planted Haircare, and Now I am Nappi for my main products as I grow my hair out. I'm taking Moon Juice Super Hair. I'll keep you updated.
I have both haircare lines up in my browser. When I get off from work I will defiantly do my research and see if those products may work for me. I have an upcoming appointment my PCP soon so I will get my levels checked. Thank you so much for the information and sharing your hair journey. If you come across anymore hair products please let me know. @@dimensionsbygina
So you lost more hair. Glad to hear your hair will grow back. I lost hair due to psoriasis causing hair loss and thinning. My new growth is nice and thick, so I decided to big chop and start again with healthy hair. Wishing you success on your journey and lots of hair growth, tfs.
Unfortunately I just went through another shedding process so I loss some hair. There was new hair that was coming through in my appointment so I know it’s a good sign. Did you take or use anything to grow your hair back? I’m wishing you success on your hair journey as well.

@@SimplyTamz hello 👋🏾! And thank you for your open and honest transparency. It is a very sensitive topic especially because some doctors don’t initially believe and just blame it on aging rather than taking a serious look.
