For anyone trying to upgrade your drones. The easy way is to put your drone control station to supply T1 drone priority 5 and a container to demand T1 drones Priority 5.
This way all the T1 drones end up in the container without any interaction. makes it a lot simpler to complete your upgrade.
They grab algae just set up a container for it
He has a locker for it, I am betting it is full and he forgot.
32:45 the T1 and T2 drones can collect algae if you have a storage set to demand it with space available.
The reason circuit boards are being picked up is because it isn't in the system until you unlock the crafting for it.

You should put the super alloy rods in a smaller container. That way it will fill up quicker and not all the super alloy will be turned into rods.
27:50 if you set a storage or the recycler to demand T1 drones and the station to supply them. they will all go into storage or recycler after a while expect 1 unless you also have a T2 build which will bring over the last T1. also you can setup an auto crafter to make more drones and supply them to the station after setting it to demand.
your likely going to want T2 storages for the different quartz because you'll fill them quickly once you visit the rainbow cave, do portals or find the microchips to start crafting them.
It's also possible to find the plan for at least Solar Quartz, which makes it craftable. I do not know if there are recipes for the other quartz outside of Solar and Pulsar.
Drones do harvest veggies and algae. Your locker must have been full.
I need oh so much more of this... I don't know what I'll do when it ends... Hopefully you start exploring mods when you run out of main game content rather than wrap up the series... 😅 Maybe one day they give us galactic terra forming where you use your home planet to resource the next and use the sect you've taken over to terraform the whole solar system you're in 🤔 maybe the sun is dying and you eventually need to terraform the sun to keep it artificially alive using the combined planets 😱😱😱😱 a man can dream 😏🥰🥰 love your work Z as always the number 1!! I think you should go through and put windows everywhere you can. It would be a lot easier to tell what storms are happening without going outside. Also, you will be able to see all the changes happening as they happen. Windows! Windows everywhere!

Pursar Quartz meteors typically have between 10 to 20 quartz they drop on average.
Z1, the area at 8:55 would be perfect for a base, especially if you use glass ceilings and install a teleporter. You could build it as a "home away from home" aquatic observatory. When the ocean forms, you'll be able to see everything that changes under the surface!
Last I tried the rooms flood when underwater.

I usually sell the production fuses, because I find that I don't really need them. Energy Fuses on the other hand are much more valuable to me. Between five fusion reactors and six energy fuses, I am unlikely to run out of energy anytime soon.
I am pretty sure that the T2 Drones can collect algae. I know the autocrafters can definitely pick them up for crafting

Base needs farms . If you have T2 hives that shouldn't be too painful. New ecosystem building can help with that too.
Little tip; an Autocrafter should be able to reach anywhere on a 3x3 building module...
Splitting up the storage into 'themed' areas will also help. Plants, fertiliser, Mutagens are used in the BioLab and the DNA thingamabobs. So storing all that in one group kind of makes sense.
Drones CAN collect algae, they just need a storage to Demand it.
Most of the Bact. Sample/Mutagen/M2/M3/M4 series can be automated just by placing AutoCrafters and Gas Extractors on a pier, next to Algae Generators and Water Collectors. Set the output of the ACs to Supply, and only use Locker for storage in the base. Any minerals needed should be delivered to a Blue Chest where it's needed. (Set to a higher priority than your base storage T2 Lockers)
The more of your production that is done without drones the more time the drones have to collect resources from far off.
You may want to add another OE T3 or three to collect SuperAlloy...
In my last game I had 4. 3 grouped together far into the cave, together with an AC and a blue Chest(demanding Aluminium) to produce SA RODs, and a 4th by the entrance(out of the ACs reach) to supply SuperAlloy.

U can use tier drills as there is no need to get specific resources
It will increase the overall production of the basic resources

as you unlock more crafted items you'll need to refresh your supply on machines and storages so drone will than move new items around.
I feel like you should put the dump chest right outside the door so you can dump everything without having to run through the base

20:08 - is it not known that you can put stuff to sell into the rocket and order a trade at the same time, sending it off and returning with the requested item? He has never done that in this playthrough.
You supply T1 drones from the drone system and setup a demand on a container to remove them from your supply
Did you know that you can pin recipes to your hud if you just make the upgrade in the crafter and put it in your exoskeleton?
I also find it amusing how he complains about space, but still uses lockers. Lol

He's most likely forgetting everything including comments because of the baby that's due at anytime (if I remember correctly he said it was due at anytime). Tips if you can set a demand the drones can pick it up including algae. You can view machine production by looking at specific points on the machine like T3 ore extractors are 75 seconds
Do you have the lake water collectors on supply? Also, do only T1 extractor for basic material. Doesn't require that many top-tier materials.
You keep forgetting to set certain things to supply that resource - like algae and veggies, plus need storage setup and demanding unless they are full.
At this point in the game, you suddenly think what's the point of finding wrecks and new caves if you've already got all the recipes and resources needed. You would just spend most of the time needing to improve and optimise your base automation.

Hey Z in one if your automation vids idk if you noticed but you were trying to make bacteria but i think you chose mutagen by accident.
You might find some you missed if you actually start making the maps
Save yourself time and just set extractors and other production machines to supply all. There is no reason to specify what they supply.
