Damn. Did not expect a review on some fan comics. I still didn't get my hands on this comic, because I read the comics called "Teaching of fear", I think you gonna like it (because it has infinite as a main character and we watching after what Eggman, Metal Sonic and Portal (it's looks like a Metal Sonic but it has something else). The creator of the comics said that he don't want to have a dubs of his comics, although don't remember if he did said something about reviews. I'm on 4th issue and I like how it's going (I can make sure you really gonna like it).
@@TheRealMightyEmperor Speaking of fan stories, whatever happened to the one you working on? Is it discontinued, or were things just tragically pushed to back burner.
@DLxx Not discontinued at all, in fact the whole thing is story boarded. The issue was a lack of interest from viewers and a lack of time on my part. I am hoping to get it back on track this year, but I am unsure in what form (Video style like my What If, or maybe a Web comic?)
@@TheRealMightyEmperor The Creator is Gigi D and the youtube channel is the Zielo Cave. There is 15 episodes so far. It is about Sonic, Shadow and Silver who are basically the descendants of ancient Gods who went mad with power. It is a very dark story unlike anything we've ever seen from Sonic and borrows elements from the Archie comics
???????? Well... this was unexpected, lol. For the record, last time I read this comic, Archie was still running. But there was a particular section that really turned me off for good (I think it was a crossover with another fan comic as well). I'm curious to hear your thoughts!
@@TheRealMightyEmperor I'm sure they haven't, lol. Personally, I did enjoy a lot of the concepts in this story, and the characterization is cool AT POINTS. However, like I said, there was a certain detour and shift in character writing that made it impossible for me to remain invested (it was frustrating to see Silver regress in the confidence he'd built up, but who knows? Maybe that changed in the following chapter after I dropped off). More importantly, I.. just can't read anyhting with Evan's name attatched to it anymore. I know she's not a bad person, nor did she ever intend to do any harm. But she's _still_ one of the main catalyst for much of Silver's mischaracterization in recent years (ya know, his soft rebooted personality), which I will always resent, unfortunately. It's a bit ironic, really, because her first official Silver story in the Archie comics, titled the Silver Age, is probably my favorite handling of the character in the *entire franchise.* But back then, she was tempered by different mandates. Different rules. More nuanced expectations of what the character should be. Then the IDW comics came along and.. That's when everything changed. Then, ironically, she happened to become a _lead_ writers of those comics, lol. Good for her! It's just a bit awkward for me now, lol.
@DLxx I can understand that, I am sure you remember my character analysis on Silver. But - even more so than back when I made that - it is clear the vast majority of the fan base enjoy this newer take on Silver. I was never a die hard fan of his character either way, and the new Silver is unique alongside the cast (more so than the original who was still different enough, but arguably similar to early Blaze and Shadow). I have accepted it and have gotten used to it, so it can be fun to see him. The games so far haven't fully adopted his comic traits.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor Oh, no! I'm not going to pretend like the new Silver is inherently worse or less enjoyable. I'm glad he gels better with you now! It's just a personal hang up of mine since I WAS a diehard fan of the guy growing up (to the point that he was like, my second favorite character in fiction, lol). That's not a common perspective in the fandom (in fact, I've never met a single person who's shared my thoughts), so I'm not expecting anyone to understand. Is it isolating? Sure. But that doesn't mean I want people to stop enjoying what they do! Like I said, Evan is cool! I just can't help my unconscious resentment and bitterness from flaring up everytime I see his modern day depcition (or people discussing said depictions), so I steer clear of it for the sake of my own emotional health. It's no one's fault. Just an unfortunate set of circumstances. Thanks for taking the time to respond btw! But don't feel pressured to for my sake, lol. I'll always be tuning into your content (and I'll get around to commenting on videos I missed eventually) 👍🏾
Hah well that was unexpected. Jokes on you though, I already know this comic, your pitch won't work on me mwahaha I remember stumbling across this and not even knowing at first that the author also worked (or had started working(? it's been some time) on the Archie comics. I should re-read this some time. Definitely enjoyed it and I hope she'll continue some day. (spoilers from here on out) I remember having finished reading the entirety of the Fleetway run when the first pages that crossed over into that universe came out. And, having been familiar with that continuity I was really looking forward to it. I think the moment that stood out to me the most was when Silver and Sonic (re)visited the arabian nights and the first thing Sonic did was blast off at high speed because he could finally run again which he presumbably couldn't in the same way after he died. If my memory serves me right it was only a small moment but a very powerful one
Yeah that arc was unexpected but fun to watch. Too bad by the end of it the world seemed worse of than before Silver found it though, well except for the mad woman being gone I suppose.
I'm impressed that evan's love for Sonic has come to fruition from being fan-made to being official.
Yeah it must have felt great to accomplish

More tikal is great
I love how this story brings back characters from Archie pre-reboot and even some stuff from Fleetway. Definitely made me happy.😊
It was a pleasant surprise
im so happy someone is spreading the good word on this comic, its fantastic
Glad you appreciate it! I was lucky to stumble across it.
As a Silver fanboy, it a great comic to read.
Agreed.
I wanted that in the beginning when tails, knuckles and amy were killed by brainwashed shadow they also were turned into ghosts alongside sonic
That would probably distract for Silver and the other characters in the future

@@TheRealMightyEmperor yeah, there's truly a lot of them (like ships, something really well made or some young funny, like amount in other fandom lol)

I recommend another fan Sonic comic called The Murder of Me

@DLxx Cheers mate. Maybe one day they will do a multiverse plot with the Silver you remember
I wanted that in the end sonic comes back to life and shadow and him returns to the present
I doubt thus will happen. The story seems to be about how people cope and move forward
