As someone that got adopted in Japan ( im japanese or east asian ) my parents died in car accident , my aunt commited suicide after mom's death and i was sent to the adoption center, i remember the scene, i was forced to watch her kill her fucking self. Now im in canada.
The sad thing about this is that the song is so upbeat, but the lyrics are so sad, resembling that people look so happy on the outside but inside could be struggling.

I hate that I basically wasted my teenage years with depression. I have lost so much. All I needed was a bit of love and understanding but noone could offer that. And 5 years later I'm back here, listening to thus goddamn song, crying about the fact that I know it word for word.

For her it was the only way for her and others to be happy... I get that, I have been suffering through pain as well. My father died October 24th 2021, he was only 44 years old. I feel that pain "every time that I go home" but still, I'm still alive, and that's all that matters is that I am alive and that's all you can hope for, and even if you die, remember that you will be with the people who you love the most, no matter what.

I just found this song and, so far, I've come to two understandings of it so far. 1) After talking with those people, she sees how they could become stronger and live another day and she tries to be like them (like wearing the yellow cardigan and wearing braids and seeing herself as a similar build as that small girl) but in the end her thoughts were too dark. Or 2) All of those "people" were visions of her and everyday she managed to find something to live for and hold on to, she manages to talk "them" out of suicide. However, as her reasons become less and less plentiful, she is overcome by her dark thoughts and finally jumps off the roof. *I'm really wanting to make a story on these interpretations now...*

Theory: this girl could be talking to herself over the course of year (final year of a part of her school journey-> first year of her new chapter) and her suicidal intentions just intensified because it went from breakups to no friends then abusive home. I don't really have any reasons that I'm suicidal,, I'm just tired of life like so many people. I'm that friend who can't disagree or turn down a friend,, who always takes the responsibility of everything. I'm that friend that no one thinks is suicidal at all but is.
Ah, but you do have a reason, you just haven't identified it, to help, you should probably try to, I would probably suggest starting with the idea that maybe your just burnt out, or have taken to stressing yourself to much with unnecessary responsibility, let your friends know, let them help you, let them shoulder the responsibility with you.

For her it was the only way for her and others to be happy... I get that, I have been suffering through pain as well. My father died October 24th 2021, he was only 44 years old. I feel that pain "every time that I go home" but still, I'm still alive, and that's all that matters is that I am alive and that's all you can hope for, and even if you die, remember that you will be with the people who you love the most, no matter what.

I just found this song and, so far, I've come to two understandings of it so far.
1) After talking with those people, she sees how they could become stronger and live another day and she tries to be like them (like wearing the yellow cardigan and wearing braids and seeing herself as a similar build as that small girl) but in the end her thoughts were too dark.

I don't really have any reasons that I'm suicidal,, I'm just tired of life like so many people. I'm that friend who can't disagree or turn down a friend,, who always takes the responsibility of everything. I'm that friend that no one thinks is suicidal at all but is.
Ah, but you do have a reason, you just haven't identified it, to help, you should probably try to, I would probably suggest starting with the idea that maybe your just burnt out, or have taken to stressing yourself to much with unnecessary responsibility, let your friends know, let them help you, let them shoulder the responsibility with you.
