Homemade Beugler-Type Pin-Striping Machine -- And It Works!

- When I looked into painting coach lines on our new hearse I found that someone had already invented a wonderful machine to do the job. The problem is they cost a lot (and I am skint!) so I had a go at making my own. It turned out ok so here's the how-to video.
I know that some people can do this job with only a brush and a steady hand -- and hats off to them - but they are very special people who have practised hard for years. I am not one of them. If I was going to become a sign-writer then maybe I'd learn -- but there are too many other things I want to do too : - )

You are very handy and smart , love your videos
Ok , I'm ready to see more work on the hearse. Love it so far.
Brilliant. How does it work on metal/paint though? i would imagine it could slip/skid.
well done, a cracking idea. maybe a couple of tweaks needed. i've looked at the beugler system. expensive! like you said if it's for one job, this will do nicely.
Inspiring! Thanks for sharing!👍
Great ideas you have way out west! Very cool. I can't wait to see what you are doing with it.
Great job!
I like this idea very much! I'll be using something similar to do the pinstriping on my traction engine 👌
Smart and handy, like your videos
Nice very acurate.
You really have some good ideas for making something out of nothing Tim.
i've used the real striper many times on carriage wheels and such. start your lines on a piece of tape and it may stop the blobbing. i still prefer the brushes but i like what you came up with.
Another wonderful contraption made in Ireland.
Try putting the plunger in to create a vacume ....kind of like a bee feeder. Enough paint may come out via capillary action
i wonder if a piece of sponge in the tip of the syringe would stop the overflow, the paint would still get through but not as much. like a marker.
Finally I found it
If the yes looking for a new MacGyver I'll recommend you. That's quite genius
Irish Ingenuity! Mrs. Tc
btw i couldnt remember from where do i know this side woobly cylinder.. a coin!!! :) i swear i was about to file it on my own
I was going to say MacGuyver ,but you're Irish so it must be McGuyver
Yeah..."oops"
no thanks.
