- Thinking in sequences instead of just paying attention to individual moves is a way to make sure you do not lot people get away with their bad habits. It can also help you to become way better at using your characters tools to make sure you get more damage and apply better pressure. Let's take a look at what that means!
Sorry the music was ended up being louder than it was appearing in OBS :(

Finding this channel was like finding a rare Jedi holocron full of invaluable lessons. Amazing videos!
Ahaha, thank you for the kind words, glad the vids are helping people
Great video, love the concepts here. The way to get to top level is by recognizing and exploiting more and more sequences
This mans videos are well made and Iconic. Maximum classiness.
No, you're iconic
I agree absolutely glorious mix of both class and swag.
I heard you mention vermanubis. I watch him too
Really smart dude! His vids are great
dude this is really goood, this just help me realize how i should watch my replays better, how to use my tools better and how the way i use them affects my opponent
I love your content man, it's a very good way of expressing and identifying more clearly things I sometimes think but cannot process fully to understand completely.
Applying this into analyzing some recent vods of mine, I see I tend to use Toon Link's arrow as my go to option for switching phases between zoning and rushing down the opponent. Being aware of situations like this is very useful as a skill and I thank you very much for making me improve at knowing myself better fr
Glad its helping! Although most of my most watched vids are replay analysis, I want to also help others realize what to look for in their own replays so its dope to hear it's working!
Thanks for using StreetFighter to help illustrate the concept. It was really helpful to me!!
i love your videos causa they are pretty smart. making a lot easier to understand many things about fighting game, special smash
Thank you so much for all your videos man. I felt like I had hit a small plateau and didn't really know what to do next. Your videos are amazing and you definitely deserve more man. Thanks for everything!
Really glad they're helping! Thanks for the support
Hey Luffy Im working on thinking about sequences and it has drastically helped my fundemantals man so thank you. All your videos have helped me become a better player so thank you man
Really glad to hear it! I hope they continue to help you out
I added this video to my "training regime" discord notes, because this is the next big thing I need to work on. Excellent video as always.
2 years late but this was a good video
I like the addition of different game perspectives. Would love to see more multi-game videos !
Interesting thought process. I'm going to start trying to think of everything more like sequences. Thanks.
omg i've been stuck losing to my friends e honda headbutt, your videos have been helping me improve so much
awesome educational content man keep it up
It’s tips like this that I feel will impact my gameplay the most
Another great video !!
Keep doing what ur doing I love it thanks so much!!
Here to beat the algorithm

11:50 Hey Link, what's wrong with your leg...? OH MY GOD, THAT'S NOT YOUR LEG
You see how fast I erased that 😅, I was hoping no one would catch it LOL
@@MikeyDLuffy I could see the disappointment in your head shake, lmao. I also thought it was funny that it was right at the moment the music went almost silent. Honestly, it was a good break on my end from the focus of listening to the video, so thanks for not deleting it.
This is really good
Subbed
thank you so much for your content, its a nice step towards the right direction for mid level players instead of just "lol, play more."
LET’S TO NEW VID, finally let’s see if this can help me to finally overcome my plateau, your videos really help me a ton
Haha I hope it helps! Although this one is more of a long term change in the way you see the game instead of a quick fix :(
@@MikeyDLuffy BROO IT HELPED I BEATED MY BRACKET DEMON AND TOOK SOME GAMES FROM no3 PR PLAYER ON MY COUNTRY
@@dragonix2094 haha you're a God! Good stuff man
Love this!
This is so good dude.
lol right this just open my mind even more
Is that a Leblanc wallpaper? That's pretty epic
Haha yes it is!
Excellent video
Thank you!
Thanks to the examples I think I get it, though it is a bit hard to understand, I should get to work on putting it into how I play
Love learning about new ways to just view the game from a different perspective, awesome vid. Btw Zackray played Sephiroth in an offline event, any plans on analyzing his Seph?
Thanks, and yes I definitely plan on it!
Thank you for your perspective! You have a way of explaining these concepts that is very easy to follow. I think the line drawing on the screen really helps visualize when there's multiple options, it's simple but very effective. These videos have really helped me progress so thanks for all you do!
Hey thanks a lot for the kind words! Glad the videos are helping! Still have a ways to go in terms of better explaining my thoughts more concisely but I'm glad it's getting there and helping haha.
Hey man good video I enjoyed it a lot also cool thumbnail!
My question is what do you do against Young link who spams his arrow and boomerang?
I recently (not 100% sure yet) switched from sheik to Terry and now I find myself struggling very hard to approach I tend to walk up shield a lot but it isn't the most effective.
Again happy to see another video man :)
Ps in my university they use that horrible blackboard program lol
Thanks man! It would be hard for me to give a definite answer without seeing a vod, but try to pick out if they have a pattern. You'll notice many people usually tend throw projectiles in a pretty set pattern so it's just about trying to figure out where the blind spots are. Other than that, dash -> shield is always your best friend, you just need to be really patient and not over run in just to get hit.
Haha yea my Uni also used Blackboard, it was so bad.
I recently was in the same position. I was being crushed by Cloud as Lucina. It took me 4 losses to finally beat him. I won the next game and then the next. It takes me too long to learn to read moves and sequences lol.
Thanks for this video. My mind is going too hard during games. I can only recognize sequences in replay lol
Hey
Let's talk about Hisoka in the thumbnail. He's damn smart at staying three steps ahead.
Yeah haha. This panel in particular made me realize he's a great fit for this topic since he's trying to read what will happen based on a series of moves used in a sequence.
Manga spoilers if you havent read it!

Hey Mikey just wondering if you would consider analyzing game 4 of super smash con grand finals when mkleo makes a huge come back? Maybe this would be a good idea for motivation to not give up or just address how leo makes the come back. Idk just a thought that would be cool since you are really good at breaking down vods
Hey, I usually try to stick to very recent games but seeing as that was one of the best comebacks in Ultimates history, that's actually a good idea! I'll give it a rewatch soon hopefully.
Do you still play smash ? this is a great video
How do you use VLC with a pencil tool?
What's the difference between basic adapting and a sequence? They're pretty similar
They go hand in hand. Adapting for the most part is realizing what your opponent likes to do in certain situations and applying the answer to punish that. Looking at the game as a series of Sequences instead of just individual moves helps to significantly speed up how many habits you can pick up from your opponent. This is huge considering that most of the time, big tournaments are best of 3. The more accurate and faster your adaptations, the better.
In the SF5 example, me realizing I need to anti air better with Menat was a simple adaptation against someone who jumped a lot. But because my anti air didn't lead to a hard knockdown or a combo, thinking of the following situation as 1 sequence helped me to quickly adapt to following situation as well, whereas it may have been something I let the Gill get away with until I reviewed the VOD if I wasn't actively thinking of it as a sequence.
Hope that cleared it up a bit!
@@MikeyDLuffy Alright that helps a lot, thanks!
