I’m definitely seeing Venom 3 in theaters and that Eminem rap slaps!
A few things: this one seems to be inspired by actual comics, specifically Venom: The Hunted and Lethal Protector. The monster he is fighting on the plane is a Xenophage, a species that eats Symbiotes. They appeared in The Hunted and then never again. So, it's cool to see them in Live Action. Scream also shows up in that story and that who I think Juno Temple is gonna be. Chiwetel Ejiofor is most likely playing Orwell Taylor, one of the villains in Lethal Protector, he is also commanding the Jury, which are the soldiers pursuing Venom (also common Venom villains). And, this is mostly speculation, but, Rhys Ifans, is not playing the Lizard (he has two arms in the trailer). The family there is probably inspired by the one in Extreme Carnage: Separation Anxiety, a story where they all end up becoming hosts to some horrifying Knullified Symbiotes. If they are, they will probably end up the same way, but PG13-fied. Overall, I think this has potential to be a good movie, but I am not holding my breath.
He got both arms when turned human in No Way Home. Could still be him.
So there’s a lot of confusion on whether it’s MCU or not, I think the “In association with Marvel” gives it away as not being part of it
It’s part of the MCM, the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
It’s a part of it. Did you not notice this takes place right after Spiderman No Way Home? He even has the shirt he had on in Mexico and that symbiote he catches in the glass is the bar Eddie and Venom disappeared from in the end credits.

It looks like sony has finally caught up after the great Kraven the Hunter. We'll get Venom 2 Last Dance when it finally goes down. And we will have the promised Symbiote invasion.

If I've learned anything from watching the Sony universe of movies, the continuity will not make any sense and they will expect us to just roll with it.

If you’re gonna show Venom biting off bad guys’ heads off (also foul languages), then make it R rated.
Also, I hope either Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland at least appear in The Last Dance as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man.
Also, if a Morbius sequel ever happens, make it R rated and give it a 2hrs run-time also due to violence and languages #MakeMorbius2RRated
There was a big plot leak last week or so, and this trailer basically confirmed a lot of the leak - which of course people online are having a meltdown over. Also it seems Sony put this trailer out because of the leaks, one would imagine.
Crazy how Venom got a frickin trilogy (3 movies) but the frickin Justice League (with the trinity of DC / most iconic DC characters) got just 1 frickin movie 😭
Because it bombed while Venom made money that's why. It's not rocket science
They showed the symbiote goo that was left behind in the 616 in the trailer. So maybe it’s two universes this movie takes place in.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is Baron Mordo in Dr. Strange. So the question is... is he reprising that role here? Or is he playing a completely different character?
Also, you missed the quick scene of Chiwetel Ejiofor in the Bar that Eddie/Venom was in at the end of Spider-Man No Way Home. The bartender, played by the same guy, but with longer hair, is about to touch the Venom spawn, but Chiwetel inverts a glass and covers it, stopping the bartender from touching it. So that brings up another question: Is Sony retconning the MCU? Because it looks like this movie takes place in the Venom-verse. Which makes sense since Dr. Strange's spell sent everyone back to where they came so, theoretically, it sent Eddie/Venom home. But the only time we see Venom reproduce is in the MCU at the end of Spider-Man No Way Home. Yet we see Chiwetel trapping, what appears to be that same reproduction in the exact same location.
So either Sony is retconning that Post-Credit Scene or we're supposed to believe that Venom reproduced in that bar either before they got pulled into the MCU or after they came back. Neither of which, in my mind, makes sense. If he did that before they blipped, I fail to believe that Eddie wouldn't notice it upon his return (presumably they blipped right back into their universe in that bar since they, technically, never left the bar). Also, if Venom did that prior to the blip, I fail to believe that the "spawn" wouldn't rejoin Venom upon his return. And having Venom do it after they return makes no sense because, presumably, the reason he does it in Spider-Man is to make sure a version of him exists in the MCU. But this isn't the MCU. This is home. He doesn't need to reproduce to ensure his existence. He's there. He exists. And unless some sorcerer blips him again, he's not going anywhere.
Theory: Sony didn't tell Marvel that they were going to add a Venom Post-Credit Scene in Spider-Man No Way Home. As Feige wouldn't have found out until he saw the final cut of the movie, there would have been nothing he could do to have it removed. So he did the next best thing. He ordered Sony to retcon it in Venom 3. Basically my theory is that Sony snuck the Venom Post-Credit Scene into Spider-Man and pissed off Marvel in the process so they're now retconning that scene under threat from Marvel.
Keep this same energy when you eventually see Mahershala Ali playing Blade down the line despite already being Cottonmouth
So the logo of the film definitely is spilling the beans that the one guy locked up will be playing the symbiote ‘Toxin’ 1000% know this.

Carnage putting himself in internet cables is from the comics not that it's not dumb lol, the first movie was so boring with so many logical inconsistencies I never understand when people like the first movie but not the second when venom charachter motivation makes no sense, villian is cardboard and there's only 1 good fight scene lol. I swear some people only like 1 better cause it feels edgier to them lol
Guys, guys? Sony is not trying to tie into anything, and continuity is not their strong point. Don't try to read into the casting and the cameos!

i'm sadge, it sounds like they are ending the Venom series here. THAT SUCKS! freakin' PARKERRR will get reboot after reboot but VENOM gets 3 movies and never to be picked up again. Deadpool and Venom are great movie series because they are dark and gritty, comedic sure, but at least it's not the PG shit Marvel likes to spew!
They might reboot Venom too. I heard they have an rated R animated Venom movie in the works so Sony clearly sees Venom as a big IP which it quite literally is. I think it's probably their top 5 grossing IPs of all time so they're not gonna let it go that's for sure
