Bro don't listen to these 2^^ turbo lag is real yes. However, the main reason he's not having max power is because he's flooding his engine with fuel and not enough air. Everyone thinks with diesels you just add fuel to gain power, which does work, but you lose alot of power like this. A little black smoke is good but rolling coal is wasted money and power. Beautiful and fun though!
@47_TobiasRieperThe turbo in my bmw takes like 10 seconds to spool if I drive normally. If I go in sport it’s pretty much always spoiled up and ready. Might want to invest in some decent ish turbos if they lag that damn much.

@@DarkAttack14bro it’s not that simple. As a tuner for diesel trucks myself it’s hard to make older injection systems “clean” like newer HPCR systems. Big injectors and big single = smoke it wouldn’t be able to spool the turbo if you cut fuel, in fact it would make EGTs rise quicker. You RUclips mechanics need to stop bruh
Unfortunately people like that are the reason deletes are illegal in some states Hopefully you have multiple tunes to get rid of the smoke for when ur regularly driving

@@robertgonzalez1278 a diesel blowing black smoke means that there is unburned fuel making it into the exhaust, meaning that the engine is running very rich which is to say not efficiently. A good tune is also an efficient one 😁
Sometimes it takes more fuel to keep them cool. Why do you think a diesel pulling tractor smokes. Too lean makes too hot of a fire. Add fuel if your limited on air to keep egt down. Would be a shame to melt it down
Man I had the same issue with my swamps gen3 dropping icp and I was only running 300/400s. I chased imaginary leaks, different low pressure pumps, and whatever else you could think of. Finally sold it off and bought the full force dual hpop unit, was like 500 bucks more than the gen 3 but it solved the problem. I think its hit or miss with that pump 🙄
I'm not concerned of how fast that goes I'm concerned how that exhaust time traveled to the 1800s to be a smoke stack for a train and is still getting over it
I miss my 7.3 van I had. Got stolen and was never recovered. Who knows where it is now. Probably at the bottom of a lake for all I know. I definitely need another one
