Synopsis
Woody (Tom Hanks), a good-hearted cowboy doll who belongs to a young boy named Andy (John Morris), sees his position as Andy's favorite toy jeopardized when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) action figure. Even worse, the arrogant Buzz thinks he's a real spaceman on a mission to return to his home planet. When Andy's family moves to a new house, Woody and Buzz must escape the clutches of maladjusted neighbor Sid Phillips (Erik von Detten) and reunite with their boy.

🎵You Got a Friend in Me🎶
This was such a feel-good movie with so many adult themes (that pleasantly surprised me).. I took your advice and watched some more fun movies and I'm having a good time with them. More comedies/feel-good movies/animations coming soon☺ Tom Hanks did it again⭐Let me know your thoughts in the comments. You can find a full uncut reaction on my patreon as well as several other movies: www.patreon.com/frankfreezy
Ngl, it was really nice seeing you watch a movie where your main response was laughter, rather than horror or disgust haha
lmao I believe that. Refreshing
They all know they are toys apart from buzz. That's why they're afraid of the new birthday gifts :)
Ah that’s makes sense
yeah they don't wanna get replaced
I always interpreted it that all the toys knew they were toys except for Buzz, not that Woody was the only one who knew. I guess as a kid I just assumed it was because he was a newly created toy and maybe it takes them some time to come to terms with their reality 😂
Thank you so much for making this great grandma so happy today!
My pleasure. Glad you could stop by⭐
It's very heartwarming to see adults such as yourself reacting to and enjoying staples of my childhood, especially when they're animated and can be easily written off as "just for kids". 💖
I don't think this would've been the same movie without the Andy Newman soundtrack.
Right? It's so so good
Agreed
I looove all your reactions but to see you smile and laugh through the majority of this reaction was a joy to watch. As always it’s a pleasure to subscribe and watch your journey through so many movies that I adore 💜
awww thank you so much for saying that. More Good Vibes reaction to come. And more of those movies you adore as well☺☺

Man, I remember my parents taking me to see this in theaters when I was a kid.
As many have said, it’s nice to see you watching something that doesn’t have you crying or heavy philosophizing lol We love those, but a chill movie reaction is always good too, and I’m sure good for your nerves 😆
I appreciate that. Many more of this kind to come. It's good to chill out every once in awhile. Definitely good for the mental. Thanks for sharing that sweet memory about you and your parents
Must have been an epic experience
This takes me back I loved Toy Story so much as a kid still remember my Buzz Lightyear toy I had him for years lol
Happy to hear that. That nostalgia is about to hit you like a brick wall
Soo much nostalgia
"The Sergeant" voiced by R. Lee Ermey (1944-2018)... When you get to the movie "Full Metal Jacket" - remember him fondly for his heroics in this movie, instead of his Drill Instructor role in that movie.
"A talented character actor known for his military roles, Ronald Lee Ermey was in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, and later was bestowed the honorary rank of Gunnery Sergeant by the Marine Corps, after he served 14 months in Vietnam and later did two tours in Okinawa, Japan. After injuries forced him to retire from the Corps, he moved to the Phillipines, enrolling in the University of Manila, where he studied Criminology and Drama. He appeared in several Filipino films before being cast as a helicopter pilot in Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now (1979). Due to his Vietnam experiences, Coppola also utilized him as a technical adviser. He got a featured role in Sidney J. Furie's The Boys in Company C (1978), playing a drill instructor. Ermey worked with Furie again in Purple Hearts (1984).
However, his most famous (or infamous) role came as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (1987), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. He did win the best supporting actor award from The Boston Society of Film Critics. Since then, he has appeared in numerous character roles in such films as Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Se7en (1995) and Dead Man Walking (1995). However, Ermey prefers comedy to drama, and has a comedic role in Saving Silverman (2001)."
I love that you loved it, and also broken down their feeling & character arcs.
Appreciate you. It was such a joy to watch and talk about

Had a blast with this one, great job bro!
Glad to hear it! thanks man
yep one of my fav franchises
There are so many great animated movies that deal with adult themes - "Inside Out", "Encanto", "Onward", and "Tangled" just to name a few!
That's true. I've seen all of those but onward. I think that's the one with Tom Holland?
@@FrankFreezy_ Yes! It's so good and surprisingly emotional!
@@theirishslyeyes I might need to add that on my list then. Thanks
You messed up AA Ron 🤣
I’m so happy someone caught the reference😂
@FrankFreezy_ I LOVE Key and Peele! Wendells my favourite character 🤣 WE would like a large pie, with pepperoni pineapple and cheesy crust 🤣
Happy early birthday Frank im also a 95 baby and this was one of my favorite movies growing up im so happy to see you watch it
Edit: the green army men were my favorite as a young boy too and are voiced by the drill sargent from full metal jacket
Appreciate you brother. Look at I was almost reaching 30🥳🥳🎊🎊 Those are some fun toys for real. Good to know, I'm sure I'll watch that movie
Fun fact: Jim Hanks, Tom's brother, voiced more lines for Woody that Tom. Except for the main film entries, I believe.
That is such an interesting fact. Thanks for sharing.
Wow really? You mean in the video game?
Pixar figured out that balance of light but still having some substance. They sometimes lean too hard into "MESSAGE!" territory but even ones like that are still amazing stories with great characters.
Toy Story 2 is still probably my favorite of that series but all of them are great and each one gets better visually as the technology improved.
I agree that substance has always been there with the light-heartedness. Looking forward to part two
Pixar>Disney
It’s nice to laugh with you once in a while 😁. Fun watch!
Haha I bet 😄😄 don’t worry it will happen more often
Im late today, been a rough one. Needed some fun today. Such a great movie. Want another fun Tom Hanks film? One of my favs is "The Money Pit" 1986. It has a scene that made me laugh harder than any other film. Nope not tellin' which scene yet, lol. Thanx so much, take care. Peace
You're always on time. Never late. I hope your day got better🧡🧡 Money pit and big are still two Tom Hanks movies I need to watch. I look forward to finding out what that scene was. Thanks for watching my friend
You should watch the sequels Toy Story 2 through 4. Although watching Toy Story 4 is optional if you want to watch it
Gotcha thanks
4 is dope though
To date myself, I was 10 when this movie came out, and it never fails to make me feel like life is okay the way you still feel at that age ☺️
Yes yes yes I agree.. such a wholesome feel good watch
Yeah such a great movie aye
Fun fact: Combat Carl was originally supposed to be a G.I. Joe, but when Hasbro realized that it was going to be blown up, they backed out and didn't let them use the liscense. Pixar had to make their own fictional army toy, so we got Combat Carl. Also, the only toy who doesn't know he's a toy is Buzz. Everyone else is fully aware.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing that
Makes sense
YOU ARE A TTOOOOOEEEEYYYY!!!!
He said it with his chest 😂
lolz
Toy Story is such a classic. Happy early birthday, Brotha 💛
I'm glad I finally watched this classic. Thank you I appreciate it🧡🧡
Thank god it the 2006 Disney logo isn't shown on this video.
Over The Hedge - Steve!!!
🤍🤍
My favorite Pixar movie is Monsters Inc. John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi.
Another reactor I follow that's trying to get into animated movies just watched and absolutely loved it.
Tom Hanks filmed a movie in my hometown that I absolutely LOVE, A League of Their Own. It’s about the real life women that played professional baseball while the men went off to fight in WWII. It’s got some hilarious one liners and some really poignant moments too!
*Also starring Geena Davis, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell
W reaction my man, you'll definitely love this awesome franchise
I love the Toy story movies and the Shrek movies 😊
Omg yes!! Shrek is probably my favorite of all time😄 I’m glad I’ve started watching this
Same
The toys personality are loosely based on their design. Buzz lightyear is more noble and heroic because he is based off a super hero. The dog is more loyal and gullible because based off a dog. The toy soldiers act like army men. Rex is one of the few outliers because most people would assume a T-Rex apex predator would be mean but instead made him a coward as a twist. Woody is more pragmatic and selfish because he spent most time with Andy and regular humans. So he has always been spoiled and seen more of how human world works.
Okay that actually put a lot into perspective. Thanks for elaborating
I would love for you to watch more stuff like this. Disney movies from the 90s and 2000s are fantastic, and then all of Pixar is great. If you don’t plan on doing all of them, I would strongly, strongly recommend Coco (could save it for October if you wanted it to be in the season). It became one of my favorites even though I viewed it first as an adult. As a Mexican-American I think that the movie nails the Mexican culture so well. My friends from East Asia and Africa also really resonate with that movie due to the similarities in cultural traditions related to family.
Seeing your insight into these classic “kids” movies would really bring a lot of joy I think.
Thanks for mentioning that. I definitely plan to do more movies like these. The only issue is I've probably seen all of them, or most of them at least. I'm a big fan of animated films. Coco was such a wonderful touching film. I love that it represented your culture so well and resonate with so many others. That is so important
@@FrankFreezy_ fair enough. Maybe that one has earned a rewatch when the time comes haha
Sid"s a misunderstood artist.
Indeed

Great reaction
ayee thanks man🤠🤠
context: all toys know their toys except buzz lightyear toys for some reason.

What the fuck!? I was born in 1991 and the first two toy stories were some of the biggest parts of my childhood and I’m 32 today and I have never once seen Woody and Buzz hanging off a car but if I did, I would literally shit bricks. I’m probably gonna have to buy a woody and a buzz off of eBay right now, so that I can re-create Woody and Buzz hanging off my car holy shit.
And this is kind of off-topic but speaking of Buzzin Woody I used to have my own buzz and woody and because my name is David my folks wrote Dave on the underside of their feet just like how the toys have Andy written and my mom has told me that her greatest regret of all time was selling them both in a yard sale
hahaha
All 4 are good. My least favorite is part 2. My favorite is part 4 and then 3. The first one is sooo good too
Many revere Steve Jobs for the Apple work but I think this movie and his work with Pixar is his best project. I know he had very little to do with the artistry of the actual film and the hat off goes to all the amazing teams on this film, but Jobs' vision for Pixar made this all possible.
. Oh wow thanks for the info. I had no idea Steve Jobs had anything to do with this
@@FrankFreezy_ he founded pixar when he got kicked out of apple
@@stanley2681 thanks for that lore
oh without a doubt
Can you watch Toy Story 2.
