Insight from a Finn: these type of jobs are okay when studying, but one must not think they can survive here with them permanently. The pay is not good and after taxes, you will be left with very little. Finns arevery educated so you will also need to study if you want to live here for the long term. Ps. If working in healthcare, you must know Finnish. It's the law.

    • @travexplorefinland

Hello! No it is not allowed and if someone does that, then they'll be caught because all employers will take your SSN number and tax authorities will come to know about their earnings. Also employers don't give any cash payments, all part time payments are done by bank transfer so everything is recorded and is transparent.

Actually a student could have a residence permit for work or have some other legal grounds for living legally in Finland.
      It's less usual, but possible.

    • @just42tube
      @just42tube 9 месяцев назад +1

Depends on what basis the student is living in Finland. If the student has a residence permit for studies then the permit for working for income is on average 30 hours per week within a year. So temporarily 30 hours can be exceeded, just not for the long term.
Working can also not prevent the normal progress of studies.
Working as part of the curriculum has no limitations.
If the student has the residence permit for work or is a dependent, then there are no special hour limits for working.

      @@travexplorefinland
      There is also this:
Paid wages and other similar payments are reported to the Incomes Register. The employer or other payer reports data after each payment transaction. The payments made are reported to the Incomes Register in the gross amount.
All payers report their payments to the Incomes Register. This means that households, housing companies and associations, among others, are obligated to report their payments made, such as wages, reimbursements of expenses and non-wage compensation for work.
A law, decree or a decision of the Tax Administration may include exceptions to the obligation to withhold tax or collect tax at source in certain situations. Even if the withholding of tax or the collection of tax at source is unnecessary, income must be reported to the Incomes Register.
1.2 An earnings payment report is submitted separately for each income earner
Data is reported separately for each income earner by submitting an earnings payment report to the Incomes Register. It is not important from the perspective of the reporting obligation whether or not the payer or income earner has a Finnish customer identifier.
Primarily, the Finnish customer identifier, entered in the Population Information System, is reported for an income earner. If the income earner does not have a Finnish customer identifier, the foreign identifier is reported. In this case, more detailed identification data regarding the income earner must be provided, such as the first name, last name and address, as well as the date of birth and gender, if the income earner is a natural person. It is recommended that both identifiers be reported if the income earner has both a Finnish and a foreign identifier.
For an income earner who is a non-resident taxpayer, the Tax Identification Number (TIN) of the country of residence must also be reported, if the identifier is in use in the non-resident taxpayer’s country of residence. A person is regarded as a non-resident taxpayer if their residence and home is located abroad and they do not reside in Finland for more than six months consecutively. A company is regarded as a non-resident taxpayer if its registered domicile is elsewhere than in Finland. If a non-resident taxpayer also has a Finnish customer identifier, both identifiers must be entered on the report. If a Finnish customer identifier is later provided for a non-resident taxpayer, previously submitted reports do not need to be corrected. Once the identifier has been provided, data must be reported using the Finnish and foreign identifiers. For more information, see Reporting data to the Incomes Register: international situations.
If an income earner has been provided with an artificial identifier, and the artificial identifier is reported to the Incomes Register, ‘Other identifier’ must be selected as its type and the country code of the country that granted the identifier must also be reported, e.g. FI. If an income earner does not have a Finnish personal identity code registered in the Population Information System and the Finnish Tax Administration has provided the income earner with an artificial identifier for taxation, the payer must report the artificial identifier provided by the Tax Administration in addition to the foreign identifier. As a result, the report can be allocated to the correct person. Every time data is submitted with an identifier other than a Finnish personal identity code registered in the Population Information System, the following data must be submitted: name, date of birth, gender, and address. The foreign identifier must also be reported.

I would emphasize that studying is the main work that at least the full-time students do and there are no rules limiting how much a student can work.
There is only limit for working for income, if you're staying in Finland having a residence permit for studies.
Unpaid volunteer type work also has no limitations.

Well, people on tourist visas are not allowed to work, moreover the companies will not accept them. For low cost accommodation I can suggest a shared apartment only. The next best would be Noli studios, which are furnished or Lumo, which is subsidized.

Finland is one of the most expensive places to live in, you can't really expect to save much. For fees you can try to get a scholarship. That way you get either study for free or get a discount on the fees. You can Follow my Instagram page 'Travexplore Finland' and connect with me through messenger if you have any queries.

Taking care of patients, especially in their homes, you need to speak their language. You also need to understand and be able to communicate with medical professionals and others.
Language skills are a key, so how good is your Finnish.
Not having skills in the majority and official languages makes it difficult to find jobs, though not impossible.

Healthcare sector has employment opportunities in Finland, but also qualification and language skill requirements. There are education pathways to learn for people who already have background in the field and willingness to put in the effort of learning languages and topping up their other skills to become qualified to work in Finland and EU.

Yes, as pointed out in the comments, in your healthcare field, you must have finnish language skills to get a job. It's true that they have a shortage of staff in healthcare but they refuse to hire people who don't have the language skills. You can take online course for the language before coming here and there are also options for Ammattikoulu www.ammattikorkeakouluun.fi/opiskelu/#:~:text=Ammattikorkeakoulututkinto%20on%20korkeakoulututkinto%2C%20joka%20antaa,)%20tai%20sairaanhoitaja%20(AMK).

At the vocational school education level (ammattikoulu) there is the possibility to to become a qualified lähihoitaja ( nursing assistant, care giver or something similar in English) .
To become a sairaanhoitaja in Finland requires first getting ahigher education degree (at least bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing) or an equivalent education and then applying to become a registered nurse by Valvira, the Finnish national agency handling licensing of licenced professions. Language proficiency requirements are based on legislation and required for getting license. There is the practical necessity of having a common language so that patient's safety doesn't get compromised by misunderstandings in communication.
Employers don't have much room to take risks with patient's safety. They can get their licenses removed, if they do that.
But it's a difficult balance in a situation, where qualified workforce is not easily available and of course there are also costs involved in having more and better qualified staff.
