This was their first attempt at doing what they call a loop. Geoff and Layne are just brilliant at doing their arrangements of course but this was something new, suggested by Cesar.
It's like someone explaining quantum physics to me. I know it makes sense to someone but how it works is beyond me. They are so much fun to watch. Would love to see them do more of these!

We definitely hope they will make more of these loops.
The process behind these is a bit different than a normal arrangement. First off, the person who goes first decides which song they will be doing, instead of the usual which is all 4 agreeing on a song.
Second, the others have no idea which song it will be, and also have to decide for themselves what they participate with once they've gotten the video snippet, instead of one person arranging the whole song including all voice parts which the others then have to record.
Third, in this they use an autotune harmonizer, which you can very clearly hear in the audio, to make the process quicker and easier (this was just a fun little thing they did so they didn't bother too much with their usual quality), instead of the usual which is having them sing every single harmony line and melody line multiple times themselves and then put it together. But, it does allow them to throw something together real quick!
They would never get away with autotune in a normal video, you can clearly hear how "fake" it sounds when using it, lol.
Geoff had been sick with Covid for 2.5 weeks right before this was made, so they had to just throw some mini's together real quick to have something to put out this month, because Geoff was unable to record their intended full song in time. So they came up with some mini's when he got his voice back, and got this out in record time, lol.
The idea behind this loop is pretty fun. Can you imagine what would happen if Layne got first attempt? Or Geoff? What if they don't tell the others what song they're doing and just send them some drum sounds or a bass line? Haha, the possibilities here are intriguing!
I hope they do more of these, it was so fun! And Cesar keeping the older guys relevant with a song they didn’t know was funny 😂
Aren't they amazing? Cesar just came up with the "loop" idea recently and this is the first one they've done, but we've been begging them to make more!

I really loved this thing. I'd love to be able to do such stuff, even with an instrument. But I'm no musician, so, well... Nope. 🙄
And I knew you would lie this. It's like they're sharing their thought process (ok, ok... A simplified version) when they arrange their stuff, with the difference that usually (I believe) there's ONE of them arranging and the others have limited voice in it, while here each one is in charge of his part. 🙂

At present they don't have any more. This is their. But they plan on doing more.
However. Layne had an interview with Charismatic Voice several years ago when Moana Medley was released. He showed basically the same thing but Also how he made some of the effects.
The only time before this they showed how they did this was in the behind the scenes videos on their Patreon.
A couple days ago Cesar did a more in-depth version of this by himself but impersonating the other guys. Right now it's on Patreon but I think he plans to release it soon. Don't quote me 😂.
