Hey Warning Army! Jeremy here! Thank you all so much for the good words. We really appreciate it and LOVE having Matt on. Apologies for doing this before Matt actually hearing her. I figured simply talking drums didn’t require him watching her first, since it’s really just gear rundown. Not style of play, or anything like that. Simply gear head stuff. We as musicians don’t really need to hear people play, to talk about the gear used. So I was thinking like a musician. But rest assured, next Wednesday is a video where he gets to see them play LIVE! Also, about talking over the video….apologies to those who are upset about it. It’s one thing to talk over music being played. But when it’s just gear rundown…we’re gear heads. You don’t just sit gear heads down in silence when talking about gear, and considering she’s talking the whole time, there really isn’t a place that we can talk unless we pause every 5 seconds, making this a very long video. And after watching this again on my own…we’re not really missing anything from her. When we had more to say, I paused it. So, I’m sorry that a handful of you are bothered by it. A huge thank you to everyone who had positive things to say and enjoyed the video! We enjoyed it was well. Love these ladies! Shout out to The Warning Army! We love you!
Paulina is a writer, composer, drummer, vocalist, actor, music video director, and could easily be a motivational speaker (has won awards for drumming and motivating young people). Call her the creative, emotive empath of The Warning. Dany is the fiery front woman, and Ale is the heartbeat gluing it together with her bass and her background or harmony vocals. What makes the band special is their collective expertise, work ethic, and collaborative selflessness. They have a band manager who is well connected in the music and film industries, and is a great promoter and project manager. Mom and Dad are full participant managers behind the scenes, too. It's a family affair... and it works!
@@booradley8895 the insane thing is that they all are of this high caliber. Hey Guys! I am speaking as a drummer myself. I think she has those pads on the inside of her toms so the bottom head is dampened as opposed to the top. You can loosen the bottom head to get a lower tone, and still keep some tightness and bounce to the top head. And putting the pads inside on the bottom head allows it to resonate without it being too flat or echoing or sounding floppy and loose. She has been playing a full size kit since she was 7 years old. She is still only maybe 5' tall and 90lbs soaking wet. But, she hits like a monster!
Also it won't effect the initial punch as much because they will initially bounce up but will settle to stop the resonating. You get the best of both effects.
Wow what a great dad selling his Harley Davidson to buy his daughters equipment hope the girls buy him a new bike lol 😂❤ love your videos and of course the Warning

These Gear Masters videos were shot at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. This was before their concert on Saturday Aug 19, 2023. My wife and I saw them play in Indianapolis on Thursday. On Friday, on the way home to Chicago, we decided to go the the Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Turns out, The Warning and their entourage was there also. They were posting Instagrams from the game. Pau was wowed by the Thunderbirds flying overhead. They were practicing for the Air and Water Show for the weekend. The next night, on Saturday, my daughter and I, saw them at the Bottom Lounge.
You should do Ale and Dany's gear rundown too. They talk real fast so just a reminder it's OK to pause while you add your insights so we don't miss anything. Thanks again.
You went a bit fast on that part, but she has 2 midi pedals, one on the left of the bass drum to start, one on the right to stop. On some Pau cams, we can see her operate them, starting the click tracks and backing tracks at the start of the song and stopping them at the end. She really manages the whole band!
As others have and will mention in the comments, having an experienced buddy/musician with you for a gear rundown is great. Turn your buddy on to Automatic Sunshine or Dust To Dust to show off Pau's skillset.
Drumeo named Pau the '23 rock drummer of the year. I would recommend you show him either Dust To Dust (Teatro) and/or their MTV VMA performance of Evolve. Both should blow his mind.

From Buenos Aires, Argentina, excellent reaction. You don't have to apologize, they are both musicians and love to talk about everything related to music, and the rest of us learn. Greetings.
The reason for having the pads on the inside is that they are loose so when you hit the drum they bounce up and let the drum resonate at its full potential for a a bit then the pad drops down and "chokes" the resonance.

@@musikbyjh , there are two very simple things I recommend. Don't talk at all when the girls (or interviewers) are talking and, if you feel that you need to say something, pause first.
Thanks for the input.
I was really looking forward to watching this when I saw it pop up...but it was so grating and irritating to see you constantly talking over Pau and not at least backing up to replay it...I could barely make it to the end. First one of your reactions I couldn't give a like on.
Sorry Chuck. We don't always nail it, but try hard.
Sorry this wasn’t to your liking Chuck. It’s hard to not get excited about the gear in the moment and talk about it. It’s also difficult to remember everything by the end to talk about. We try not to stop the video too much to prevent very lengthy reactions. Thanks for giving it a shot though
