Sohyang CAN sing any venue of music ever written. No Saxophone, so she SANG the Saxophone solo. Amazing.
So Hyang joined the BeginAgainKorea group after dealing with recurrent pneumonia for a few years. As they were traveling to this steel mill pier, she was using a nebulizer. This song was the last of their set at this location and yet her vocal and breath control were amazing. In recent years, she hasn't seemed to have the same health problems except for Covid in the summer of 2022. Hopefully, we'll be able to have her beautiful performances for long time!

Thanks Fil❤ I love this version because she is singing her interpretation. I think it’s nice to hear how others approach particular popular songs. That way people can have their own favourite one or even two etc that they resonate with. There are so many gifted artists singing LIVE these days, many of them from or based in South Korea, like the group I know you love, Forestella etc. She did what she always does, her own version because she is Sohyang. Those workers were just so appreciative to have someone like her perform live there. They were just enthralled by the beautiful singing that she and the other artists performed that day .The whole episode is on You tube and is when I heard her sing for the first time , so it’s through the lens of a worldwide pandemic that I fell in love with her singing and her take on this song.

Wonderful Sohyang joined this Begin Again Korea group for several episodes during the Covid epidemic to perform for essential workers. 15 locations, 154 songs. Sohyang sang with all of these talented artists, as a group or in duets. Sohyang sang "Flashlight," "Flower Road", "My Favorite Things," and " Into the Unknown ", with Lee Suhyun (red-haired girl). Henry sang his rearrangement of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect " with Lee Suhyun. Sohyang sang, "My Heart Will Go On" with Jung Seung Hwan ( man on the left). Lee Suhyun and Lee Hi (red shirt girl) sang a reprise of their MV "I'm Different " from 6 years prior. Even Jukjae, guitarist, and Hareem, pianist sang. All enjoyable.
She is perfection. She can treat any genre of music... she can sing like all the 3 divas which is freaking amazing vocal tech. And she even do rap, jazz, opera etc... truely vocal goddess.

Soyang is arguable the best female singer on the planet at this time. Her technique and prowess is impeccable. I think Morrisette has a much better, more beautiful, and more nuanced natural tone, but she is only 27, coming into maturity for her voice. As Morrisette sings you can tell there is much more there to develop. Sohyang has been singing professionally at a high level since she was 17. She is now 45. Experience is critical to development of a mature voice.
although i prefer sohyang overall this is one time where i have to say whitney is still the best on this song.
Dolly Parton originally wrote this song and made it a hit LONG before Whitney covered it.

She really sings very well but I definitely prefer Whitney’s darker tone and power. I listen to this lady but don’t feel anything in contrast to Whitney Houston‘s version.

I didn’t care for her delivery. The breaks, pauses between phrases were not intriguing to me. She is good. She hit the notes right on, but I prefer Whitney’s version/delivery.
