I have spent disgusting amounts of money on this game this year. I had resolved less than an hour ago to stop. I simply can't continue to spend at this pace. My New Years resolution is to return to F2P. CG seems to be trying to institute the whale or fail mentality to the community. Hopefully, everything I invested will carry me through the next raid and the one after that will be with some older characters. IF I can get through that, I unless they become ridiculous with the release of too many new characters, I should be fine in the long run.
I like the first take tbh Seeing it happening in my guild a ton, loads of people buying the LSBs or rushing for GLs without realising they needs like 10 zetas to go with it and ending up with a load of high relic but unuseable teams because they don't have zetas Same with GL rushing, they rush for the GL without realising many of them need Conquest lifters (Ben, CAT, Ezra etc) without fleshing out their rosters or mods It's so important that you see the whole picture when trying to progress and sometkmes you need to put the brakes on and finish your farms properly
Well said.. I "slowed down" for the last three months by fleshing out teams rather than going for big unlocks. It has really strengthened my roster far more than I would have by chasing a single gl.and building a bunch of virtually useless reqs to get one good team. Now that I've nearly finished with that process I'm set to get those bigger pieces without having to worry about falling short in other areas. 4 GLS in 2025 and they already have the teams they want, ready to rock.

Totally, it's been happening even before I started playing. It has nothing to do with LSBs. But it has only become a major issue because of the current GAC squish. It's going to keep happening until CG changes the system.
If I'm giving this comment the benefit of the doubt, this player is pretty inexperienced. 9 - 12 million GP players in bronzium are not whales. They are likely low engagement, long time players. A 9-12 million GP whale in bronzium who actually tries is likely an idiot.
I've already seen the results of this. I have a 7 million GP account with GL Kylo, Starkiller, GAS, jedi Luke, full malevolence and negotiator fleets and just recently got bumped into chromium for grand arena.
I have reached a saturation point as far as bundles go. The amount of zetas and omegas i need is astronomical. The mod upgrade mats are even more ridiculous. This is a very goid problem to have. Im looking to easily unlock four gl's in 2025 and i have really worked hard on building a wide roster with all the backbone teams. In the next two months i will unlock 4 conquest characters and i still haven't built Luthen yet so omicron will soon become a bottleneck for me.. im stoked on my fleets and the direction my account is headed. Lots of big groundwork has been my focus in the last quarter of 2024 and I will be reaping the benefits of that work very soon.
@Kenzabukuro I got three in the first 6 months of last year. Then I focused on other stuff like raid teams. So 4 is very attainable especially with all the reqs I've worked on while building back bone teams. Jabba, jmk, see and Leia. Plus I'm getting jkck, Starkiller and profundity
The Fuck around and Find out thing is only really an issue for people with unrealistic expectations. I've bought all the LSB's and yet I have no delusions of being one of the big spenders, and I am well aware that I have a great deal of grinding to do to get it all usable. But I am also going to have 3 GL's at R8 and Executor 18 months into the account, and I am very close to being ready for 2 more GL's this upcoming year also. Potentially five GL's 24 months into the accounts lifespan. I've been able to do almost all the Proving grounds and do well in Conquest, and be a good contributor to a very competitive TW guild. I've hit a wall in GAC for certain.. but again.. I don't measure myself solely by GAC. Even though there are LSB teams that I cannot use due to lack of mods and Zetas.. I am still closer to having them up and running eventually than if I did not get the LSB's at all. I suppose in a world where GP bloat was a bad thing still existed it would be a problem... but the that is not really an issue anymore in this game.
Rng is fine, if we always have a way to handle it. Rng making things complicated is fine. If x randomly happens u have to do y. But if x randomly happens and make u lose…thats bad rng.
TW is the oldest part of the game without a rework now, so I would expect a TW rework. I think CG will mess it up big time though and you will have player meltdowns like you did with episode pass and them getting rid of assault battles because they will make new marquess more important to win TW.
A TW pass and +pass, gives you additional points and the +pass allows you to use teams for both attack and defense. You also get bonus points for using marquees.
@@charlestownsend9280 I think they will put a seperate zone for marquee chracters and you get a flat bonus per marquee character placed there and a bigger bonus the more stars / relic levels. So like offense % plus or defense % etc.. for the entire zone or even every zone. Really, really nasty P2W shit.

100% agree with Areromagnifiers for those who couldn't do the heroic pit raid they are still hard to come by
So the trade of was I got a ton of those but not nearly much as the gear I needed at the time

PS, I would like to see them make each toon be able to use 8 mods, or two full sets of 4 or 8 of one kind.
