You basically never actually earn back your resources from any one mode/event. You’ll never earn your signal data back, for example, on POW / MQJ for the Duel of Fates if you take them to r9. However, you earn a good chunk back and also have the units to use in all of the rest of the game. That is how to look at ROI imo, do I earn something for this investment and do I get good use out of the units being stronger.

Good discussion. One additional RoI to consider is time. There are several upgrades which simply help you save time by running things on auto, making conquest run faster etc…. Just need to consider your objectives when calculating potential RoI.

Yes, relic a weak toons for an operation is a thing for serious players and Guilds. Many neglect that.

I've done the r8 Snowtrooper, r7 Hoth Rebel Scout and r6 B2 on top of the good toons that I'd already have done anyway.

i don't think rote tb units and reqs are comparable, journey guide reqs feed into another unit that gives you the actual roi, but tb garbage has a return - a tiny tiny fraction of a single star increase. so basically that relic 8 tb unit converts into maybe 1-2 crystals and 5 get2/3 per month. and guilds somehow care about this...

But here is the flaw I see in the logic on this equation- I, like most people, are using GET 3 on Kyro. Furthermore, he is a non transcendent/skippable character vs spending those kyro on any of the other “new hotness” teams

Even at r9 tier, the QA trio is really tough to max out. I gave up and took r2 to r9 to help max run.

One note I would add, playing the game for like 2.5 years +- 3.5 HU Mod score and I’ve never needed to farm Health mods, the game constantly throws them at you via events

Your video makes absolutely no sense I have more speed on all my toons than you and I still can’t go first. I knock down ani and they all go first I go 3 times and he stands up and ani goes 3 times back to back and kills everyone. My droidika has same speed as you and he just gets his buffs removed by the gernade.

5:32 Buddy. Save the 2nd space special for this wave commander power. The enemy bonus turn when you take a turn is the strongest enemy power up as it means you will not get 2 turns. You’ll get dispelled, they will cleanse and most important. They will take lots of turns which adds to the enrage meter!

Yes I noticed this that as someone who has R8 Queen, and Q9 MQJ and POK. I struggle more on level 6 and level 5 and need R and 6. R2 does wonders. I may take my Queen to R9 but the cost is so severe. Is it realy worth it?

Take out plo and qui, and put in mace Ayla or shakk. They can counter and Ayla can also call assist on basic sometimes.

I kind of disagree with the inquisitors. like yeah they kind of suck even after you get grand inquisitor. But Reva is an absolute house and you have that inquisitorial mission that comes around once or twice a month so it’s kind of like paying you dividends.

Great content as always Phil. I think you hit the nail on the head when you point out that CG is not being clear enough and has not moved fast enough. I find it kind of funny that everything in this game is in their hands, there are no outside forces that effect what goes on in the game. It’s their programming. I understand that they will never have as much info as they will once the masses start to play, but they give us a limited number of characters to use in the raid, how hard is it to test their game at different difficulty levels using that set of characters? Sometimes it feels like they just launch it and hope we won’t notice the problems. Then they dither when people start to complain. I just wished they seemed or were more prepared.

I already vented towards my perception of CG's choices in general, in another comment. This comment is directed @Phatphil, with respect to his assessment of the statement released by CG. I think if they release it with the sentences that you felt were unnecessary, or incorrect is that it indeed is a complete omission of their failure or any potential glitches. At least including the sentences, it is stating that they are leaving the door open for potential changes or improvements, and being willing to hear what the community has to say about the changes that they made. For an end game player, who has the resources and guild strength behind them that you do, and possibly even the money to invest through packs for Gungans and Princess Amidala, this new raid is likely no big deal from a difficulty standpoint. The availability of useful characters to gain you a reward, especially in the guild you are in, with players like yourself, probably saw little to no loss of rewards. You might not have even needed to farm the new toons to be fine. The players who are early middle and middle game players would be most affected and likely make up a more significant portion of the players most affected. For new players, it isn't probably a big deal either, they just have a different set of prerequisites and directives for getting going in the game than we had. In the end though, since it doesn't affect the biggest spenders, GC probably isn't that worried about it. However, if they suddenly found that the game was made up of only newbs and end game players, due to a mass exodus from the game by middle game players, perhaps they would rethink things, but maybe not, since they make up a smaller portion of potential revenue.

My biggest gripe, other than they took a group of the most useless toons in the game and a set of new characters we would have to farm, which essentially forced either a complete stopping of growth to legacy characters, was the fact that we suddenly get a nerfed reward while not only having a stronger account than we used to, but at the same time, we are burdened to do all of the additional growing required for the raid, with a nerfed reward. I am suddenly in a position where I can't even get Mk 3 raid currency at all and might be months before I get any again. I also contemplated quitting and I think this has inspired guild hopping, which further devastates the experience of the average player. I really want to vent my fully fury against the @$$hats who saw this as a befitting choice for the overall health of the game and the morale of the individuals in the community. #ExtremeGreedExtremelyObvious

Yeah, the low difficulty is really kinda ridiculous. Got a full G10-12 team of decent GR Jedi and I can't even get through the first wave.

Will Duel of Fates be available forever or just for a certain period of time (possibly during the Naboo Raid)? When it was released, CG didn't make it clear whether it would always be like this and with these rewards, despite the name Assault Battle.

7.7 mil mid game player here. 3 GLs and 2 ship GL. Kyber 3. I will be taking this team to R9 with Quadme. I think something that is being missed in the ROI is the fact that you are also getting a top tier team for GAC and the raid.

Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last one. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of poor investing decisions that I would never have made if I hadn't been so concerned about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I wasn't sure whether I should start saving for a house. In the end, I sold everything I had, and the house required more maintenance than I had anticipated. I'm not sure how much longer I can go on like this

I think one more factor to consider is that if you are looking at taking the boys to R8 or R9, you probably have Qadme up there as well, so in addition to these rewards you are also looking at a million(s?) more in Naboo raid, which increases your own personal payout a bit and the guild total.

What relic/gear/zeta requirements are recommended for each of this tiers? Just unlocked Kylo and don't want to waste DS currency.

Fistbump! I've been waiting for a video on this. I also play with ROI in mind. I have Queenie and I've been slow farming POW and MGQ because I needed signal Data to finish my Leia farm. But now I'm going all in on both to R7. Thanks!

The one factor that I didn't hear is that some people have absolutely no Droid brain income. I'd much rather spend some rare R8 materials just for the chance to get some Droid brains regularly.

I believe the math used assumes that you've relic 9'd the two characters to calculate the ROI. The lower relic material and signal data cost for only relic 5 or relic 7 would then lower the time needed to recoup their cost.

Ive got so many aero magnifiers! The value of having these characters built for the raid buys back the aero mags easily. Im probably going to go to r5 with the team and decide if i want to go further. They are a pretty sweet duo that i want to build just because i love them and im unlocking padme as my first conquest unlock, so ill want to build them for all for that reason as well. Its really just a bonus that i get rewards from the assault battle. .
