Did it . The basic ponytail not the exta steps.Did shave the ends with electric razor while still in the ponytail. Came out really well happy with it. Received a few compliments as well.
You are an excellent teacher. I love that you didn’t waste my life with a long intro and a ‘like and subscribe’ dialogue. Much appreciate will cut my moms hair tomorrow!
Just did this cut. I had long hair so I asked my hubby for help. He made me first sign a "don't hold me responsible" contract just incase (I'm not kidding)! He cut it with his razor and I love it! Perfect cut since it's getting hot here in North Carolina. This is a great tutorial! 👍🏻
I tried this and it worked like a charm. I'm so pleased as I am growing out my hair but the sides are taking longer than the back so I like to keep a shape by trimming the back to gradually blend in with my sides. So I just applied the bobble cut to the back and then barely dusted the sides just to align. Honestly I think I'm going to save money on haircuts! Thanks so much for putting up this very easy to follow tutorial
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! Just tried it lastnight and my goodness im looking top notch now because of how EASY this tutorial was to follow! Anyone out there wanting to try but are weary or hesitant, just do it!!! Honestly best hair vid i have EVER followed! Happy cutting everyone ✂️✂️💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️
my hair was past my butt and I did the BIG chop myself! I didn't really regret it much, just felt weird not getting that everyday work out in my arm while brushing my hair 😂😂
@@doridobai6029 Heeyy plis tell me how do i even out the ends like they all got poofy and thick at the end which kinda ruins the look. How do i make em all fringy and thin like. 😩
Just did this. It works! I didn't do super short in the back so its just slightly higher in the back than the front but it's exactly what I wanted. My hubby (who has no hair cutting experience) chopped the ponytail and evened it out. Saved me $$$$$!!! Thank you!
OMG!! How did you ever learn to cut your own hair like that! I am a guy and I cut my own hair, but I just use a guard on the sides and shears to texturize the top...I can't imagine doing a longer cut like this on myself...totally awesome!!
Thank you sooo much for this easy tutorial. I have been searching videos that were simple enough where I felt comfortable enough to do it myself but none did until I saw this one. You clearly explained and showed each step. I loved the look and will try to recreate it on myself very soon. Thanks again!
I did it - just the simple pony tail part and not the layering and a-frame (way too advanced for me!). I was really happy with how it turned out! My hair was super long - I hadn't gone to the hair dresser for a couple of years, and now it's brushing my shoulders and looks short and classy. And it was kind of exhilarating too! Recommend :)
syakilasmile haha in honesty i tied my hair back and sat infront of the mirror debating it for nearly an hour and then took a deep breath shouted a few swear words n just hacked into my hair hahah. I dont regret it. Everyone says it suits me and its so much easier to look after as my hairs sooo thick it would take forever to do anything with it. If you think it would suit you. ..go for it!! X
We’ve wanting this hair style for a while now, and finally did it... I love how it turned out and think it looks terrific.. such a fresh look.. thanx for this amazing video. 👍👍
I have been looking for a good tutorial on this style for ages... this is the simplest, best explained and best cut I have seen on RUclips. Thank you xxxx
I did it last year in August. Will do it again today😊 Quick note - use a mirror in the Front and in the back and make sure to make the ponytale, the separating and the cuts as evenly as possible. Then it will come out nice.
This is such an awesome tutorial! I also think you have one of the most soothing voices I have ever heard! Thank you for sharing, can’t wait to try this out!
I hadn't had a haircut in over 2 years. This video was perfect. I've never gotten as many people saying they loved my hair when I paid a professional $150 for a cut. Great video. Thanks!
I did it, i did it, and it's looks great.. thank u soooo much.. this video helps alot... I was so scared because i have round face so i thought, my face is gonna look like a football if i cut my hair short... but no.. it trun out awesome.. and now my face doesn't look even round.. short hair enhanced my features more.. i cut it ear short..
I parted in middle, then put elastics in 4 sections (2 front and back). Was good beginner practice and looked great just to get rid of split ends and I didn't care if it was all one length. Got a lot of compliments. Now I'm about to give myself a bob. Lawd help me...
And you are super brave to cut such length hair. My hair is right below my collarbone and I'm having a difficult time cutting it. The only reason I want to bob it is because my hair at the back is so damaged and my hair at the front (about what you parted for your two front piece) is completely beautiful and healthy.
I hacked my pony tail off but I couldn't get the hairdressing crappy Chinese scirrors through it, so I found v quickly a pair of vety sharp 4 inch long really good scissors, in ten pulls above the elastic band at about 4 inches below my nape neckline I now have one amazingly brilliant totally better than this boring one length symetrical a dhaped inverted cap bob. I have created by shear accident and really positive pull cutting, a double length a symetrical with layers, extreme wedge really top of the hairdressers one fantastically superb hair style with just one cut that I dragged kicking and screaming into the world. I had lots of black box dyed crappy long hair. I'm 55 and used to be a model so am wrinkled but no old cat eitch now. Trouble is, everyone who has seen it after washing it finfing a couple of bits and hacking them. This is the best haircut I have ever seen on anyone. Hey With layers so amazing. I now have to drag hair out of ppls heads now. At least I get paid for it. The ladies love it and the swearing too. ❤😂 I will have to stick a pic or 10 up. Well done xxx God and all that does exist after all. Coochums. Xxx
Hi!! That was great! I have got a question here. I've got wavy hair and I wanted to cut them straight. But straight cut isn't looking nice on wavy hair and I don't even want to straighten them. Please suggest something
You can get a hairstyle like this, with only one cut actually, only by making a higher pony tail. You can soften edges afterwards if you want to. It's much easier this way and it comes out a more even a line cut.
Grum Py yeah it's scary letting other people cut it, I went to a hair salon 3 years ago and they cut my hair way too short than I asked for and since then my hair started shedding way more too, so I've been cutting it myself. last week I chopped off 20 inches.
corsican lulu i wanna do that rn cause i like short hair but its reaching my shoulders now and when i tie it i dont like it so i wanna cut it myself cause nobody else understands but im scared ill get in trouble cause im a kid :p
I used this video to do my daughter's hair after I shaved out the side. my 5 yr old lol. She looks good. After I got it cleaned up gently layered the top portion and cut the bottom opposite direction to help curl under. 3rd haircut on my daughter. so cute!
I did it! feels harder when you cut it yourself. I made a few mistakes but managed to correct them; the front didn t come out as long as in the video, but still looks good! great video!
I am right handed and can get the invert on my right side however twisting the wrist to get a good angle on the left side is proving difficult for me. Any suggestions?
Thank you for this video, it's awesome & easy to understand. I plan on cutting my hair this weekend & this really helped me out on how to do it. Thanks!
I've done the ponytail cut a couple of times now and it always ends up uneven - shorter in the back and longer in the front - and not in a good way. I end up having to cut my hair shorter than I want to even it out... What am I doing wrong?
Gonna try this- my hair is already Scottish, just at the shoulders and I also have an undercut. So if I mess up I'm ok with going to a salon to have them touch it up even if they have to go shorter. I'm gonna keep the front where it is to give it a dramatic look:)
+Brooklyn Beckham I did! twice! The first time it wasn't short enough or dramatic enough in the back- I wanted a strong A-line! Both time it came out really well and I had my boyfriend trim the stray hairs on the bottom. one thing I did that I think helped was cut my hair with thinning shears so it didn't look so obviously blunt and blended things better!
I just did this last night you'll get a much better result doing the back section low ponytail and use Clippers across the hair tie it's too hard to try to reach behind you and get your back straight. Just make sure your hair tie is very very tight and level
DO THIS ON WET HAIR!!!!! it's the best technique but it's better to cut on wet hair and brush well otherwise you might easily screw things up ! been there done that
I wish I could add my photo not sure how, but just did this, and it works!!!! Love it and will be forever doing my own hair now, no worries of anyone messing it up 😁💇♀️👩

I hope everyone heard "cut little by little"..... That's how to do any haircut urself.
😭😭😭😭😭
Yes, lol. That's absolutely the worst and number one mistake people make cutting their hair at home.
Yes! This! This is the DIY tutorial I've been looking for!!

Anyone else here because of coronavirus?
I'm so bored I'm almost done watching all the diy haircut videos lmao
Yes! Watching everything from the upside-down ponytail thing to this!
I’m about to ruin my life lol
Yes. Lol
I can't be trusted with scissors, but here I am for this very reason.
well done and super simple explanation without all the showoff stuff. thank you
You can also make the lines softer by point cutting into the ponytail instead of just blunt cutting it. It looks much better that way and it is easy.
Thanks to This video i cut my super long hair short :) its great to get out of ur comfort zone
I should have watched this before I cut me hair 😂😂
laisah owens omg same lol
Me too. 😂😂😂
Yeah you might have seen how terrible it would look
Lol

I've done this for years. A little evening out needed but works well and no expense!

It's just hair. If it is not good, she can still wear it in a ponytail until it grows out.
If I do this with my little bit of curly hair, will it look nice?
Worked for me!! I´m happy with the results, I think the key is to use the razor

looks better on curls cause curls hide imperfections
