I'm impressed, decent valid argument. I like both wrestlers. And yes punk is in that sweet spot where he doesn't have to prove anything, and it's very easy to become comfortable in that spot (The comfortability is deserved and nothing is wrong with it). However, comfortability to that degree, can possibly hinder forward expansion and progression. I really really like punk still, after all these years (in different company ventures). It's a testament to how he's managed to some how not become stale, after the start of his popularity years ago. Likely it's just life flowing, and things falling into place in the most beneficial way. Side note: I do not cheer on or standby the boasting, about choking someone in a headlock in real life. That physical action was unnecessary and an abusive display.
How are you meant to deliver a consistent storyline and wrestling for six months to a year if you’ve been injured? It’s unfortunate he has picked up a few injuries but they aren’t his fault. Were people saying when edge returned that for ten years he’d been living off matches from 2010/11? It doesn’t make any sense. He hadn’t been in wrestling for close to a decade, returned and has picked up a few injuries. It happens. And to say he’s living off the pipe bomb is ludacris. Multiple time world champion across various wrestling promotions. Back to back money in the bank winner. The guy responsible for making wrestling cool when it was really stagnating in the early 2010s. Punk is a legend for far more reasons than the pipebomb.
i mean he DID wrestle almost an entire year in AEW before he got bit by the first injury. and that injury wasn't even from wrestling but from jumping into the crowd
It has NEVER been about wins for a guy like Punk. He is the Best in the World because he always brings the fight to everyone he has ever been up against whether it was a legend like Undertaker, Rock, Cena, Brock, Triple H, etc. or whoever. He has always delivered one of their best matches each time.
I would take the criticisms of a bloke seriously if he wasn't of an age where he was concieved during the Attitude Era. His opinions are based off WWE on Peacock. 😅
The Rock is fantastic on the mic, certainly, but one could say he’s over-reliant on catchphrases. Punk never needed catchphrases. Even when they were in the ring together trading verbal barbs, Punk pointed out how much he uses catchphrases, and how did Rock react? With more catchphrases.
Exactly right we are still waiting for Punk to do something in the WWE. Remember that he returned at the same time as Orton. However, Orton wrestles every week!
Punk came back, actually fought in the RR, instead of Rock, Cena or Taker not earning their main events and just taking time from others. Rock hasn't actually wrestled full time in 20 years.
Seems like he holds punk to a higher standard than the tribal chief, longest reigning champion, Roman reigns. I'd rather wrestlers be healthy, take more time off, and not work through injuries. I've honestly been wanting wrestling companies to stagger their stories between shows. It's exhausting and boring seeing the same storyline on each show through the week, and seeing talent being unused for months. I'd take an injury over non booking.
People's who think CM Punk can actually go toe to toe with Rock on the mic are delusional. They have never seen Attitude Era Rock, He would absolutely cook Punk on the mic.
The last part is right tho. We're still in yes mode for this and i can't wait to see punk and drew wrestle eachother but punk needs to be on tv for months before i say he's still as good as he was

and to cope you'd go to any lengths to comfort your mind by citing claims without providing any sources. Either way, your desperation in this comment section can be seen lmao and the common phenomenon of Punk living rent free in your mind continues. Enjoy yapping lmao
@@subtlenuances When people type "bruh" at me I conclude that you are unworthy of respect and I immediately stop reading.

You're already unworthy of respect with your trolling nonsense and your closet AEW fanboyism. 😂
I guess this guy didn’t know that “The Rocks arms were just too short to box with God” because he just doesn’t have a clue.
It's because he retires for 7 years, and when he was in AEW, he was barely there because of suspension or injury.
The rock is Catchphrases. Punk comes across as real
So his entire feud with MJF did nothing for you?
Pipe bomb
And don’t forget his 434 day title reign as WWE Champion
And his team up with Paul Heyman
Bruh he's delivering the best storyline while injured he can Definitely back it up. The mans a legend in his own right
the rock is better on the mic when it comes to keeping it completely kayfabe but punk is better on the mike when it comes to telling a story lol
He did from Aug 2021 - May 2022
Flair, Rock, Austin, Savage are all names that Punk has to be at his very best to keep up with on the mic.
i mean he DID wrestle almost an entire year in AEW before he got bit by the first injury. and that injury wasn't even from wrestling but from jumping into the crowd
Who the fuck is this guy? Punk and MJF was probably the best thing AEW ever did. Promos were amazing and some of the best matches.
He's right. We haven't seen the best of CM punk's return yet. He's currently not at the top of the mountain and still have some climbing to do.
People love the rock way too much. Even cena owns the rock
Cena but not punk lol
Punk proved that the Rock's arms were just too short to box with god!!!
He has a fair point but Punk and Drew right now is really good storyline even without wrestling eachother.
Punk vs Drew is the most compelling feud in wrestling right now and they haven’t even had a match
Great point he made... no consistency from retirement to now. Give us at least 6 months, then ,me personally well change my mind from this point
Punk and shield, Dwayne The Rock, Steve Austin promo for 2k, MJF, Drew, Nexus takeover, undertaker feud, Brock Lesnar so much more!
What is that guy talking about CM Punk on the mic always has everything to back up like this just proves he is a hater for CM Punk
We're still in yes mode for this and i can't wait to see punk and drew wrestle eachother but punk needs to be on tv for months before i say he's still as good as he was
Can't argue with that
Punks fued with MJF & jon moxely was great tv
He’s definitely speaking #FACTS about CM Punk
