- I found all the giant bass in the lake on a little island during the first day we went fishing on Lake Lanier. This is a pattern most angler miss in spring.

That Alabama strain of spotted bass is a special thing. So fun.
I want to tell you thank you for being my #1 fishing RUclips channel! I finally got Electronics on my boat-left Louisiana, went to Lake Chickamaga TN, and applied what you preach🎣! Tore them up on a wacky worm on a 3/32 weed less ball hook. The twitch you described here I did with a wacky worn over the grass!
That’s awesome!!!’
Lake lanier is a beautiful lake. Taking my kayak out Sunday hopefully for a good day
Saw you on Lanier Friday but didn’t want to mess with your fishing I love you channel. Thanks for keeping me trying new technologies
Wasn't me man I shot down to Florida for a wedding but if you do ever see me come up and say hello I always liked meeting fellow anglers!
@@mikeybalzz cool. Just saw blue nitro though it was you. Lol
That thumbnail is the perfect representation of Lanier on a warm nice weekend! Too many pleasure boats to where your points will get run over at some point. Nice video!
That happened the last day I was there took water over the bow LOL
Wish I had known you were here ! I’d dropped everything and searched the lake all over to shake your hand and say welcome to lake Lanier and Atlanta !
I usually come over every year for the Gambler free tournament in early April come on out and fish next year all the info is over at Hammond's fishing center
Love seeing you fishing again on my "home lake. Had a Sailboat there for years at one of the marina slips, love Lanier and Allatoona. Your new boat is mighty fine! So happy and glad for you Mikey, you deserve it! And B9g deserves nothing less 😄, hug that sweetie pie 🥧 😘 💖 💕
I like seeing the AT in use. Still trying to learn the ins and outs. Only had mine a few weeks.
The Blue Beast is getting it done! Good to cya enjoying ur new boat and getting on the bite! 👊🎣 nice fish!
That Chan Wake bait is a must try
Really glad to see you using the Nishine Erie! Awesome company and a great product, can’t wait to see their popularity explode
I love there prop bait in full size . It's gotten my buddy some bigs! Great company, and products🤘
Absolutely sick jerkbait it really catches them their new silent trap is pretty bad to the bone 2
Great video as always. Lanier is my home lake so I am out there all the time. I'm very lucky to get to fish it all the time. You need to come back up when the Herring Spawn is happening (should be any day now) as those blow-thru's will be loaded with monster 3-5 # spots, stripers and large mouths and you can catch them on top water in the 2-5 feet deep areas. It is insane when that happens. Cheers!
That lake is an absolute gem I wish I could get over there more
I've wanted to fish Lanier for a while now. I live in Spartanburg SC so not that far away just never made the drive, but this video has lit that fire again. Great video!!
Another awesome video 🔥. My stomach kinda turned when I seen that crack in the live target screen...lol
Yeah that happened many moons ago sleeping mats out on Pickwick but at least it still works
Love Lanier! We stayed in a VRBO around the corner from that ramp, caught 50 - 60 a day in May last year. Our smallies fight but those spots fight just as hard, maybe more.
Love to see you bending rods again!your line up of baits looked perfect for those spots. Showing us the skills that pay the bass boat bills🤙
The jerkbait bite is really on right now. I bought an el cheapo at Academy for $1.50 on clearance and today I caught 7 nice largies in under an hour with it. Some nice ones too! As aggressive as spots can be, I'm sure you can clean up with a jerlbait.
OMG spots LOVE biting the tails off Keitechs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I try to make myself wait to set the hook... Almost like fishing a live minnow. They don't drop the Keitechs.
Nice video Mikey. Like always, I love Lake Lanier.
Smallies definitely hate that taunt and they can’t resist it! Great vid man!
Hi Mikey, love your vids! I know you shown a few new vids of your boat setup. Can we have an all in one, in depth video of it all done, end to end walkthrough - If you have time.
It is coming just want to have her totally tweaked.
@@mikeybalzz Excellent! Cant wait!
Love the growl of the new engine. Sweet.
She sure does make a statement when she starts up right
I’ve also been using a smaller profile minnow looking swimbait on a weedless jighead, from 7/64 oz with 6 lb fluoro to 1/4 with 17 lb fluoro and absolutely crushing it. Whether it’s trolling, slow-rolling along the bottom, or treating it almost like a worm, they cannot get enough of that setup.
To be more specific, Bitters bait n tackle has the naked swimmer and little swimmer, 5’ and 3’ respectively. I’ve been using the little swimmer in 168, bad shad
I was on north end off Lanier today. Nice day of fishing
I would like to see your rod and reel combos and discuss what you use them for
Duuuude!!! What... Don't get the chance to go Spot fishin but and as always, the best #realfishing content in RUclips and that's my bias opinion even if I live in California! Mikey one quick question if I may, if you're/I'm active target/live forward target imaging impaired for lack of a better words, could you give some info on your thoughts for finding and processes to finding fish? Maybe even some that would be useful for my a$$, LOL, here in my neck of the woods! Tight lines brother!
I'm gonna but in. I'd do a 3 day approach .and use confidence baits to target bass . Look nw corner for the biggest in a system, and drop back from spawing bays to flats focus on transition spots from ell grass to hydrilla and you will find your donkeys.spot within a spot could be wood rock or different bittom.mud sand or clay or pebble. Knowing your home lake details are key to finding bass. Fish every stitch of it.and you will be the master of the lake, and there movements. First day drive and map key spots where you think they should be. Day 2 run and gun those spots w your confidence baits and 3 different retrieves. Slow as ballz, fast as hell, and gliding, or pendelum.day 3 cleanup! With what worked from day 1 and 2.👌
Great vid. brother man!
Thanks for Another Educational Vid 🤙🏼
I would love to see you fish my home lake Neely Henry and see how you approach it..... 🤘🤘✌🖖
Love me some spots!!!!
Great video enjoyed it.
Appreciate that bud 👊
I love bass I love dogs and bogs is the perfect dog.
Your boat is looking awesome! Looks like you are getting the carpet fishy, enjoy!
Awesome video
Dude I would a stopped and been stuck at the gumball machine! Then eye wear! Dang . Hammonds here I come! Tackle nerd otw! Go MBRF and Bog Dawgy!
What a good offshore pattern . Finding that choke point and flat paid off w the active target seeing them suspend! Lites out with the little teezy!and that power Ned is the deal for me in Florida! Thx for making the best damn Ned head for bigs! Thx MBRF!
Hey Mike bogs has his own bed and pillows that's awesome sorry I don't get a chance to watch your videos all the time but Mike seriously you are a very talented angler I have watched alot of your videos but alot of times I don't leave a comment Mike I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm just quite alot of times. God bless you and bog's and your family in Florida I know you don't live there anymore. Good job Mike getting bog's a life vest when I first saw that I said this guy really cares about him. Ps awesome content in your videos. Hey can I have your old boat it will bring me good luck just kidding Mike your awesome and I just subscribed to your channel.
Yo Bro that rig is sick as shiznit! Goddamn man you picked a helluva ride!
Very cool !!!
Wouldn't know what to do If I had active target or mega Live lol.
I want to use it on Bay Spring's Soo bad.
Curious.. how do Lanier spots compare to Bay's in your opinion?
it's killer when they're on that brush! i feel like the lanier spots are a little bit meaner than the on bay springs, they also seem to stay out deeper too.
Cool vid !
Thanks for the video! What mapping do you use for your Lowrance units & how does it compare to Lakemaster?
I have Navionics and c map both pretty solid but it seems like each offer tweaks that I like.
Another awesome video, by the way, what gopro or camera do you use as well as what kind of editing software. I'm just starting out and want to be efficient. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. Bog! Is always excited.
Running a hero 7 black and 9 black.
Thanks brother man. Be safe and appreciate the feedback.
Love the boat. I have a aluminum ranger because the lakes by my house are hp restricted. Mind if I ask what it cost completely rigged out?
Great info as always 🤙🏻
How you liking the nitro. They do have a sweet ride.
Which model again?
thus far she is a bad to the bone blue machine. it's fast, i like the storage layout, and the deck is huge so i'm not tripping over bog nearly as much when i set the hook.
Hey Bog!
Any recommendations on where to stay if you are fishing this lake?
Lake Lanier islands resort is nice, accommodating & convenient!
I stayed in Gainesville but I think there's a bunch of hotels down on the lower Lake near the dam
What kicks are you wearing? Those look comfy
You're going to laugh but they're super cheap shoes I found on Amazon
@@mikeybalzz whatever is comfy on the boat works my guy. But that’s funny
You ever going to come fish Hartwell with me
i really want to get up that way - hell i'd love to move over that way. if i did this RUclips thing full time i'd be over there in a flash but work is keeping me from being a fishing hobo 😔
@@mikeybalzz I'm always here man. The Bite has been really good. Going to go Jump on some spots in the morning.
Long time subscriber. Never comment. Thinking about lithium batteries since you got them. Any advice. R they safe. Do I need a lithium charger. Thanks in advance. Keep the videos coming
Thanks for watching the vids all those years man! The new lithiums are super safe. I run those Battle Born lithium and I've never had any kind of issue whatsoever. They're expensive but it's so nice to not have to worry about your batteries going bad at the wrong time and the performance is crazy - you can fish a couple days on 1 charge. You will need a lithium charger but alot of the new onboards support lithium.
First great job brother
Congrats on the new boat….you’ve earned it!
Bro have you seen the new Jackhammer colors on tackle warehouse? There’s 4 of them, check them out.
It looks like new weights, not colors.
This the day I met you or day before?
Jointed bluegill swimbait you said what the hell is that is dynamite I have over 30 of them
