@@saccharinescenery I legit couldn't agree more with what you said LMAO, I really liked Eric up until the "he's the enemy" line after they fought together for a good portion of the game
It’s kind of cool how they reused actors for different characters, yet they still all tie to each other. Like how Jason was a soldier in Man of Medan and in House of Ashes, yet they were different people. Or how Eric was the one involved in the car crash in House of Ashes, but in Little Hope, he was the officer redirecting traffic because of the crash.
The main reason they reuse faves is because it's easier to do the accurate and detailed face rigging and dynamic muscle movements on the faces of the actors who performs the role. It would be very expensive to hire whole new actors for every game

Well.. the events of Little Hope are taking place in 2020, while the accident happened before the events of House of Ashes which took place in 2003. RAAAH I'M SO SORRY TO SAY THAT, THIS THEORY IS SO AWESOME
Hidden Agenda's really a underrated gem. It's only fallback that you had to use your phone as a controller which was just weird for a mostly PS4 game. It was a hint for things to come though as each playthrough was a movie's length, the amount of ways the story could change is almost endless. Which is why I believe the Dark Pictures Anthology takes the strengths of both Until Dawn & Hidden Agenda as a really neat whole.
They do like to link things, there’s a book and newspaper article in Man of Medan giving hints on other games in the franchise. No spoilers but they are there. There’s several random articles one linking the zodiac killer from they previous game as well. But some of these articles which are fictional and written by the developers have currently no obvious links these may be possible future hints.
10000%, I had no idea he was the guy in MoM until I saw him again after finishing house of ashes, His mannerisms and voice acting this time just fit him perfectly!

pretty sure fliss and the pirates are in the opening sequences in house of ashes, balathu and whatever the other guys name is. but fliss is the sacrificial woman i think
They actually start doing this way before Dark Pictures Anthology, course Man of Medan for example reuses many models from their other title - Hidden Agenda.
I watch the playthrough in a non chronological order, starting from Man of Medan, second with House of Ashes, then Little Hope. I legit thought that whole thing about the characters in Little Hope was that they were some kind of people who are 'trapped' and 'forced' to play different kinds of characters for different set of events. Aside from that one, I also thought about those multiverse stuffs, and even clones. And what I got was better than I expected. Amazing plot-twist.
Omg. I spent all the games going “ oooh this person looks familiar but I don’t know where their from. Could never figure out why their faces look familiar. Glad I found this video. It wasn’t until house of ashes I realized it was the same people and I only thought it was a few people not everyone. Lol.
Wait. Am i just going too far or is it a human vampire mask in the background at 3:28 Also there's Danny and judge Wyman as Merwin, Junior and young Vince as Kurum, Olson and Vince as Balathu and Clarice is also in Man of Medan as the Sailor Girl ;)
@@ampholim159 ahah yeah i had to check the dark pictures wiki to notice this one. As for the vampire mask, i was talking of the green one in the middle of the store at 3:28. With the horns ? Kinda looks like the Kurum version of the Ancient One
@@ampholim159 Yeah well they knew they were going to make House of Ashes, but i don't know if they already had an idea of the design of the vampires yet, so... impossible to tell. I'd like to think it was intentional tho. Cool easter egg. Factssss, I had very low expectations because of the desert setting, I was like that can't be scary, but boy was I wrong, that game was a freaking banger!!!! 😊💜
Anthologies often reuse actors in different stories so I view this as the same thing. It’s fun to pick out the familiar faces in each of the new games. They’ve used them so different in each game that it doesn’t take away from the quality at all
Agreed! Searching for the reused models is like an easter hunt in a way. They do an incredible job at disguising them too, it took me awhile to figure out some of these 😄
I honestly thought that the little "little hope" easter egg in house of ashes insinuated that the accident in little hope was Erics and Rachels but someone brought up the different timelines, how one was before 2003 and the other in 2020, so maybe Eric is a sheriff now? 👀
@@ampholim159 The sheriff is named Isaac on his name tag. BUT I like that in Little Hope, you have like 3 car accidents x) The one with Rachel and Eric, the one that the trooper told Anthony about at the beginning of Little Hope and the bus crash. Little Hope is CURSED for accidents! AND the doubles story is real because all the dark pictures games happens in the same universe and a lot have doubles!!!
I honestly had no clue brad and Nick were played by the same person until now. They’re portrayed so differently that I never even recognized they had the same face, kudos to the actor on that one
Some people in the comments said that Nick might be a mix of both Brad and Alex! That aside they do a phenomenal job at disguising the characters tbh!! 👏
@@ampholim159 either way, it was surprise. I like the way they put the other actors and such from the others games in, kinda like American horror story, and I like watching that show
I noticed a couple of these when I played through HOA but I only recognized Jason was the guy from MOM that’s so cool that they reused these characters though
The little hope ones can have a canon meaning Anthony saw a post or sum of soldiers such as Eric and Clarice and imagined them during his hallucinations
It took me awhile to realize they were the same models too!! Honestly alot of them were almost impossible to spot because of how much they were able to change them
Couldn’t really take Nick all that seriously since it was the same model for Brad 😅 I like the reuse that makes it feel like a connected universe… but sometimes it can be weird seeing those familiar faces with vastly different voices.

I have a theory on why this could be. Since these are stories the curator is telling us, it is possible these characters are make believe and their stories can easily be changed on if they survive or die to being one person or another.
Oooo, that's an interesting way of looking at it! I like the theories everyone has I reallyyyy want them to possibly explain why in the season finale 👀👀💜
It's like the characters are real people but each fraction of their souls are in each different story we go into, like they're suffering for our amusement. But that's what I'm thinking that's all, but it feels like it...
i knew i wasn’t tripping. when i was watching h2o delirious i noticed right away that some characters from little hope were here. then i noticed later some characters from man of medan. it didn’t click at first with man of medan cause it wasn’t my favorite (and i didn’t watch it as many times as i’ve rewatched little hope) but i did notice those familiar faces.
Plot twist, the anthology is a dimension where the characters themselves are victims of the Curator's horror stories just never knowing their role in previous encounters. Fun thought, but its just a theory.. 👀

Maaannnn, fuck that. I have a slight dislike for Nick for the cheating thing(he knows Rachel is married, but still goes on with it), but Eric got on my nerves a little too... Salim and Jason are the MVPs imo lmfao
Though I won't lie, a good few of Jason's lines had me kinda 🤨 about him but all things considered, not terrible
I need noticed that😳, your analysis skills are freaking fire! Sooooo sorry for the late reply btw, I just saw your comment 😅💜
The main reason they reuse faves is because it's easier to do the accurate and detailed face rigging and dynamic muscle movements on the faces of the actors who performs the role. It would be very expensive to hire whole new actors for every game
the actors don’t look the same well not for house of ashes bc i was looking for Nick’s actor 😭
The devs actually said they did it intentionally as they wanted to create a sense of familiarity in their games
I always thought reusing actors were so cool in anthologies like AMS or The Haunting Series
It is super cool! makes you feel nostalgic of the previous games
@@ampholim159 it does! and i get to appreciate the actors’ range of characters :)
Such talented people. And every game had one actual actor.
Factssss, the improvement in the new games is sooo 🥰🥰, so underrated
Merwin is also in Man Of Medan (one of the bad dudes i think) and in Little Hope (judge Wyman)
Wooooow..was he the guy that shot himself? I just searched up the judge from little hope and I think so too 😳, I really need to replay those games. Thanks for letting me know ❤
@@ampholim159 Oh right his name in Man of Medan is Danny btw, and i think he can only be drowned/stabbed; Junior was the one who shot himself. And you're welcome bud! 🤜🤛
@@dznus305 WAIT WHAT..I JUST SEARCHED JUNIOR UP AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE KURUM FROM THE START HOUSE OF ASHES!!!
@@ampholim159 dangggggg i didn't even realize that! It's actually crazy how many characters they've reused for these games. Props to you for pointing that out 👀
@@dznus305 No u brother, I forgot the guy existed until you mention him. I'm in need of your detective skills more on this channel
They act in Hidden Agenda and The Inpatient too. But I’m fine with it.
I had no idea 😳, but honestly I'm fine with whatever the last few games they released are absolute bangers. I'll try giving them a play, thanks for letting me know😊
jason and Salim, best characters so far and best duo !
They made the game imo, definitely the best thing about it 😆, sooo sorry for the late reply, just saw your comment 😅💜
It can be that in little hope the accident the policeman was talking about was accident of Eric and Racheal
I think so too! That's why I put them after eachother, what I don't get is why Eric is reporting his own accident 🤣🤣
@@ampholim159 😂😂
Well.. the events of Little Hope are taking place in 2020, while the accident happened before the events of House of Ashes which took place in 2003.
RAAAH I'M SO SORRY TO SAY THAT, THIS THEORY IS SO AWESOME
@@semperfi2314 YOU FREAKING GENIUS, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT
@@semperfi2314 oh yeah I forgot that
I like how they reused the characters as if it was a continuation
Or parallel universes and these guys are just super unlucky
Then reusing the same actors gives me an American Horror Story vibe to it
Fun fact, Charlie actually was in an other game of Supermasive Game - Hidden Agenda. You can easily recognize him there)
Haven't played it yet ;( , is it any good? I might make a part 2 to this with all the characters I've missed
@@ampholim159 yeah, go ahead)
Hidden Agenda's really a underrated gem. It's only fallback that you had to use your phone as a controller which was just weird for a mostly PS4 game. It was a hint for things to come though as each playthrough was a movie's length, the amount of ways the story could change is almost endless. Which is why I believe the Dark Pictures Anthology takes the strengths of both Until Dawn & Hidden Agenda as a really neat whole.
@@TheSoulGage Sounds good! I'll try to play it as soon as I can 😊👍
I always enjoy when anthologies do this sorta thing. Makes it strangely comfortable to see familiar faces in varying roles.
It does enforce the feeling of being an anthology, which tend to reuse actors for different roles.
It makes the game even cooler reusing the character models
played through house of ashes last month and i had no idea that jason's face had been reused, the voice in that game just fit his look perfectly imo
10000%, I had no idea he was the guy in MoM until I saw him again after finishing house of ashes, His mannerisms and voice acting this time just fit him perfectly!
Nick looks like Alex more than Brad okay 🤣🤣
I never knew Eric was the cop in Little Hope
Great Vid!
Apparently Brad is a mix of both Alex and Brad😅, Thank you so much 😊💜
4:16 I never even noticed that foreshadowing
I thought it was very funny how weirdly accurate it was, LOL
2:43 I recognized the wearing glasses guy because look at his face so easy to recognize, except others
Yeah 😁, him and Clarice were really obvious, Others took me awhile!
Was shocked to see that Nick and Brad are portrayed by the same actor. They are basically as different characters as it gets.
Rightttt, that part confused me so much throughout the game because of how much I liked Brad from Man of Medan and didn't really care for Nick much. Sooo sorry for the late reply, I just saw your comment 😅💜
pretty sure fliss and the pirates are in the opening sequences in house of ashes, balathu and whatever the other guys name is. but fliss is the sacrificial woman i think
I included them in part 2 : ruclips.net/video/YoqBTesr7sc/видео.html
Thanks for letting me know 😊💜
They actually start doing this way before Dark Pictures Anthology, course Man of Medan for example reuses many models from their other title - Hidden Agenda.
Taylor, Tanya, Clarice’s model is also the Sailor girl from Man Of Medan.
Yup yup, included her in part 2 😊💜, great memory you got!
But why was he imagining his siblings being togetherrrrrr that's my only question 🤣🤣
@@ampholim159
Maybe his brother and sister weren't very close in his memories, I think. Aren't there options to make them hate each other in the game?
Me who watched American horror story: hmmm yes interesting.
Wow that’s crazy I kind of peeped that the characters from House of Ashes looked familiar but I didn’t delve deep like you 💯💪🏽 very neat!
They disguised them really well! You have a great memory for spotting a few, it took me awhile to get some of them 😁💜
Omg. I spent all the games going “ oooh this person looks familiar but I don’t know where their from. Could never figure out why their faces look familiar. Glad I found this video. It wasn’t until house of ashes I realized it was the same people and I only thought it was a few people not everyone. Lol.
Glad to have helped man 😁, some of them were really hard to spot out because of how good they "disguised" them 🤣💜
Wait. Am i just going too far or is it a human vampire mask in the background at 3:28
Also there's Danny and judge Wyman as Merwin, Junior and young Vince as Kurum, Olson and Vince as Balathu and Clarice is also in Man of Medan as the Sailor Girl ;)
I can't find it 🥲, but it could be likely since they tend to refrence alot of their games
CLARICE IS THE SAILOR?!?!?!??! WHAT SORCERY IS THIS
@@ampholim159 ahah yeah i had to check the dark pictures wiki to notice this one. As for the vampire mask, i was talking of the green one in the middle of the store at 3:28. With the horns ? Kinda looks like the Kurum version of the Ancient One
@@semperfi2314 oooooh I see it now, thanks for pointing it out :D ! Not sure if it is tho 🤷♂️🤷♀️
@@ampholim159 Yeah well they knew they were going to make House of Ashes, but i don't know if they already had an idea of the design of the vampires yet, so... impossible to tell. I'd like to think it was intentional tho. Cool easter egg.
I really like them reusing the same character models, makes these games feel more connected, like all these people had multiple lives in the dark pictures universe
The fact that I didn’t even notice speaks volumes about my attention span
Good for you for focusing on the actual game more than their faces 🤣🤣, sooo sorry for the late reply btw! Just saw your comment 😅💜
literal best game since Until Dawn
Factssss, I had very low expectations because of the desert setting, I was like that can't be scary, but boy was I wrong, that game was a freaking banger!!!! 😊💜

@@kaner12341 what a freaking chad💕💕💕
Also, the doctor from Man of Medan, who falls out of the Jason’s locker in the beginning is Salim

Righttt, I had so much fun doing that with my sister like they were little easter eggs, sooo sorry for the late reply btw, just saw your comment 😅💜
I think this point, is how all of the dark picture series are in the same universe like what the director had told us.
I'm a huge Supermassive fan so I recognized all of this lol! ❤
Totally don't mind this~ it's nice in a way cuz the anthology feels more connected that way instead of completely separate characters.
Yesss, it's a great way of tying things together! Soooo sorry for the late reply btw! I just saw your comment 😅💜
They do an incredible job at disguising them too, it took me awhile to figure out some of these 😄
I can’t believe it took this long for someone to do a video on this even though it was plainly obvious that faces were re-used.
What if Eric was once a Sheriff? XDDD
@@breakofdawn5249 maybe they're all triplets that are keen on getting themselves in unwanted situations 🤣🤣

Merwin - Danny

I noticed a couple of these when I played through HOA but I only recognized Jason was the guy from MOM that’s so cool that they reused these characters though

im watching little hope now after house of ashes and wondering where Ive seen taylor before
Glad to be of service 🤣🤣
Sheesh memories love those games 😭✋🏽
Tbh them reusing actors makes it feel like the characters are stuck in some sort of time loop or something
The little hope ones can have a canon meaning
Anthony saw a post or sum of soldiers such as Eric and Clarice and imagined them during his hallucinations
Joe and Jason are my favorite characters :)
Salim approved this
At first I genuinely thought Nick was Alex instead of Brad. But I can definitely see it now.
Alex and Brad are actually the same model just slightly tweaked.
@@knightfallprotocol Didn’t know that, cool!
Wow! I never noticed they are using the same face models I’m impressed!
You forgot the curator lol I had to
How the hell did I not realise they reuse actors lmao. I hope they keep it up the entire dark anthology
They do a reallyyy good job and "disguising" them, I didn't notice a lot of them until I was done with the game 😆💜
Man of Medan with brad…cute AF! Lol
Rightttt Brad was adorable, sadly ended up killing him ;(
That’s interesting to know. They even changes some of characters race. I didn’t realize they have the same faces. I wonder why they look familiar 😂
It took me awhile to realize they were the same models too!! Honestly alot of them were almost impossible to spot because of how much they were able to change them
Jason also has the same face as Sergeant Riggs from Hidden agenda.
Haven't played it yet 😅 so I only included the ones from the series
Couldn’t really take Nick all that seriously since it was the same model for Brad 😅
I like the reuse that makes it feel like a connected universe… but sometimes it can be weird seeing those familiar faces with vastly different voices.
Merwin's model in House of Ashes is also in Little Hope and Inpatient.
I had no idea he was in Inpatient but I included his characte4 in Little Hope in part 2, thanks for letting me know either way 💜!
I like it, feels like AHS with the same actors every season

Man of Medan = Danny
Little Hope = Wyman
House of Ashes = Merwin

Literally never noticed the similarities until Taylor from Little Hope and the redhead in Devil In Me
Honestly it took me a long time to notice too, they do a really good job and changing up the characters! 👏
I never realised. Wow!!
So colonel Eric basically has a twin in little hope since he visited there lol
Possibly 👀
Ah yes, Eric was a policeman, after that he signed up for the Marines and became a Lieutenant Colonel
I think it makes sense if the policeman and marines were swap around (sorry if this sounded rude).
That was the first thing my friend and I noticed in our playthrough of the series. We have a theory that it's actually done on purpose that will be revealed towards the finale of the entire series.
I reallllly hope they reveal something possibly in the next game 👀, that'd be freaking awesome!!! Sooo sorry for the late reply btw, just saw your comment 😅💜

I like to think that all the Dark Pictures stuff was all connected
Like Joe asking about his son
I'm not sure about his son but maybe he grew up, had a son and that was Jason
I love how the dad that loves his son in the first game later befriended the dad that loves his son in in the third game.
What in the American Horror Stories is this. Seriously though I don't mind them re using characters, I didn't notice until now.
It’s cool that they reuse characters it kinda makes it even more spooky. Like having past lives or something.
That's a really freaking creative way of looking at it!!! 😁💜
@@ampholim159 Thank you! 💖
Taylor was also reused in the premonition for the future game.
Kinda wish that joe(in man of Medan) said his sons name was Jason. Meaning Jason is joes son(both share an actor)

Of course man! Thank you for watching !! It was very hard to spot them tbh, they did a great job at "disguising" them 👌👌
It's like the characters are real people but each fraction of their souls are in each different story we go into, like they're suffering for our amusement.
But that's what I'm thinking that's all, but it feels like it...
3:05 Just so you know that man was originally Josh from Until Dawn. Also the Bald Accused in Hidden Agenta. I always Recognize Josh.
I. DIDN'T. EVEN. REALISED.
OMG. XD
i knew i wasn’t tripping. when i was watching h2o delirious i noticed right away that some characters from little hope were here. then i noticed later some characters from man of medan. it didn’t click at first with man of medan cause it wasn’t my favorite (and i didn’t watch it as many times as i’ve rewatched little hope) but i did notice those familiar faces.
Reminds me of that horror show on Netflix that used the same characters. Honestly it’s like I’m watching a show just playing it.
No one:
Jev to Jason: “HELL YEAH BRUHHHDER!”
🤣🤣🤣
Plot twist, the anthology is a dimension where the characters themselves are victims of the Curator's horror stories just never knowing their role in previous encounters.
Fun thought, but its just a theory.. 👀
I mean, the curator is pretty intimidating 😳🤣💜
Daaaamn haven't noticed that Dar was John !!
It took me awhile too, I only realised after I finished the game 😅
