Nice information. Recently I did PG in Manali and since then was looking for an institute to learn this. Watched both your videos and they are quite helpful. With more knowledge, fear reduces, and this is one sport which requires a lot of information and knowledge. Like you said over the period of time, physical activity is reduced and mental activity is more. It is very true that our body develops muscle memory and we no longer need to think about doing things, just like in driving. Thanks, once again for the info.

Paaji thanks a lot for the knowledge... After returning back from Manali i decided to learn paragliding. I searched for the videos and this is the first informative video i have watched.... This is really very helpful... Thanks again... Keep sharing...
Good Job sir, as I am also fascinated towards to learn paragliding I really needed someone in india who can tell me all the experiences, difficulties, costs, equipments and many more aspects related to paragliding. I am happy that I found this channel, surely I am gonna to learn it soon. Thanks for this information and please keep sharing your experiences with us. Thanks in advance.
One for question from you- "Where did you learn paragliding (school name)? Also if possible do let me know - Suppose if I wanted to fly everywhere in India (like mountains, beaches, etc) with proper knowledge of everything like emergency landing, and many more situations, then till which course I want to learn paragliding so that I can fly anywhere without difficulty?
@Shresth Jwanil Samroha Hi, I am glad you found this video helpful. I learnt PG from a very experienced friend and PG Gurukul school that's in Bir, Himachal (Which is the best in India). paragliding.guru/ I was not lucky to learn it in a single go due to time constraints. Paragliding is a ever-learning sport. You can never say you learnt everything. Once you complete P3 you can contact different schools elsewhere to help you fly in their region. Collect as many hours as you can and you will automatically know your confidence level. It is always good to fly under supervision for 10-20 hours. Communicating with other pilots will help you understand different situations and solutions. Basically, once you are in the sport you will automatically start progressing until the day you fly without any help. If time is not a constraint then the more you practice the faster and better you will learn. Also do note that you cannot just fly off from any hill. In P3 you will also learn about site & weather assessment. Please also note that just a little over confidence is also not good in this sport. I wish you good luck and hope you will achieve your dream of flying - safely. 🙂

Thank you so much for the information, great content. My only question is what is the weight requirement for this sport. I am 110KG, but very active. I play badminton/squash and cycle regularly. Some info in this matter would be helpful…This is definitely on my bucket list.
Hi, Weight is no issue, if you can run few meters without falling then this sport is for you. As you mentioned you play badminton/squash regularly then you may be more fit than many other pilots. Just go for it. Best Wishes.
Thanks for the comprehensive information. I have three questions - 1. Mountaineering Institute in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh is also offering a Paragliding course. Do you think it's good enough? 2. Can someone who is trained in Paramotor Flying also do Paragliding? 3. What is the probability of risky events in doing such activities?
Nimas Dirang is equally good. I have mentioned it in comments in some other video. Paramotor flyer normally learns paragliding first as it is a progression. Paragliding has the basics of flying. Launch techniques are totally different and one should learn and re-learn when switching. Risk really depends on many factors. It is the same as horse riding or even riding a bike on highway at 100kmph. Somedays you can get away with big issues and sometimes even a small issue can be fatal. Overconfidence or lack of alertness overtime is risky in this sport. Once you taste the sport, you will get to know more. Best Wishes.
