  • A short video helping Pandora users not only disable their alarm in an emergency using the secret PIN override code. But also disabling a lost or broken tag.
This video is designed to help users in an emergency. We always recommend performing this procedure as a last result. Always consult your Pandora Authorised installer before performing any alarm programming.

Very useful. Thank you one question if this was to happen would you need to pair another tag to the system after re enabling them? If the one you had was lost for example
    Thanks

Hi Luke. This sequence is designed to get you and the car safely home. You can then delete any lost remotes, until you purchase a replacement. You can then pair this into the system yourself using another sequence.

Is there a link to setting up the “new” tag.

Hi, What alarm have you got fitted? If it's an alarm fitted since 2020, the video below should work.

We will always recommend that programming tags should be done by your authorised dealer, as if the wrong settings are pressed you could completly disable your alarm.

Excuse my ignorance. What happens if someone manages to steal the car by taking from your house, the tag, your pin code, your phone..? Is there a number with security question you call to shut the whole car down and pass gps location to police?

      The simple answer is yes.
Calling the GPS alarm via the phone has a second secret code (not on the card) This secret code is set by you on installation day by the fitter. Only you should know what this is and can be a memorable sequence of numbers. This will then allow only you (or person you have given access to the code) to call the alarm, enter the secondary secret code to access the alarms phone menu. From here, you have the ability to override all other alarm functions including tags, phone app etc and regain control of the alarm. You can even safely shut the car down, (when this feature is fitted) bypass the stolen tag, request GPS coridinates, arm/disarm the alarm and so much more.
However, we do always advice you keep the plastic card with overide pin away from the alarm, phone and tags at all times. We run through a few options with you on installation day.
Pandora is about layers of security. The alarm and tags are the first layer and daily use. 4G app is the second layer and used to monitor daily activities of the vehicle. The phone menu is the third and emergency. There are different security procedures so that if one is breached/stolen, there is a back up which overide the last.

I've a Smart Pro V3 installed can I temporarily disable the Tag for when my Car's in the garage or would you just recommend I leave my Tag in the Armrest etc whilst my Car's been worked on 🤔

@@ianandrew7010 I would always recommend placing the alarm in service mode. This will switch the immobiliser and security features off completely. You will no longer need to use the tag when driving. Please note if you do drive over 30mph with the tag inside the car, the system will automatically remove itself from Valet mode.
