About the bent hammer: Just do the boiling trick. Carefully hold it under boiling water for like 20 seconds or so, then pull it back out and dip it in room-temperature water. It should straighten itself out.
Well, he only had one line in the movie(we'll clear the way) Wished he had more lines like primal, cheetor, and airazor because he felt like bayverse Shockwave who had only one line and spoke cybertron language when he was in chicago for the final battle with the autobots.

Rhinox doesn’t sound like John DiMaggio at all. He’s voiced by Battletrap’s VA; who also was the original voice for Depthcharge, voiced Shockwave in TFP, and voiced Blitzwing in Bumblebee. Though if that’s Rhinox’s line, he sounds more like Ron Perlman’s voice for Primal.
fun fact you can store the hammer under the rhino mode in the gap if you stick the handle up inside the rhino head. it fills out the lower body and is better weapon storage
Great review as always man. Interesting Rhinox toy for sure. But the robot chest is just hanging down there is an eye sore. I loved how you said "we forget kingdom", and I agree. I have it, transforming it is insanely frustrating. Thrilling 30 is a million times better. Also "now all we need is for Primal to legally release" I chuckled at. I know there's reviews of him out there but I've also read these versions are stolen from the factories.
I'm no Beast Wars fan, never watched it, but I love this robot mode, very TLK like (knight motifs + Transformer = peak), looks like some kind of Roman face mask.
I love this figure but my biggest complaint is the rhino mouth. I feel a big part of rhinox’s design is the massive rhino mouth because of where the jaws end up in robot mode. In the movie as well he had that massive mouth with the reactor in the throat. What’s so annoying tho is that for the transformation you open his skull to reveal the horn, well instead of the skull why couldn’t the mouth open to reveal the horn.
I honestly laughed like crazy at that scene in the beginning! XD Ever since I was a baby, fart jokes like that were super funny to me! That made him one of the funniest characters to me, but I like Grimlock and the other Dinobots and reptile Transformers most, which makes it extra awesome that Robosen Grimlock got a fart action because they gave my favorite Transformers character the humor subject that makes me laugh the most! It is also now Canon that G1 Grimlock does that, that is too funny to me! I appreciate whoever was the action designer for him, there are many that are cool, funny, and cute! I don't think Hasbro can ever outdo Robosen Grimlock, it is the best thing ever made for the Transformers series in my opinion. Too bad the price is insane.
The knees do lock, but it’s sort of a soft lock tho. So you just push em back and up at the same time and they should lock in place and give you that lower bend only
I personally like how bland the colors look on the maximals with the greys, black, and dull orange/tan. Plus, in the movies alll the characters took the concept of robots in disguise seriously( actually Bay just liked cars), but realisticaly primal wouldnt have a blue chest. Cheetor wouldnt be golden and blue. And rhinox wouldnt be brown with lime green highlights. I also have always prefered the darker and duller colors.
I wish the legs did more here for the beast mode ngl. All you do is just shift some joints and break his knee. A good chunk of it is just done by the torso, plus they look oddly small compared to how bulky the chest is, like someone did a typo on the measurements. If there was a mix of the Mainline's legs and SS's torso it'd probably be perfect.
I may be one of the few who likes Kingdom Rhinox, I will get the SS version as soon as I see it, I have the Mainline ROTB and that is a chonky bot so I want to get the accurate version too

Looks like a really good ROTB Rhinox figure. But honestly, I ain't a huge fan of the design. Only movie Maximals that really worked for me was Primal and Airrazor (Cheetor looks cool, just doesn't really look like Cheetor to me). And while I may be in a vast minority here, I really like the Kingdom Rhinox figure.
As good as Hasbro did with the Maximals in the Studio Series line it's all about the bot modes for me, as the transformations/beats modes really don't seem to do a lot other than hinder accuracy. Considering just getting the Yolopark Primal, and soon to be released Rhinox as they look good, articulate well and are about in the same if not cheaper price range.
Honestly, I like him, but… I would be perfectly fine with the mainline one if I could not get this one in the future… Also Kingdom Rhinox is good, I don’t know why so much hate :(
Sometimes I feel like he has problems with his figures bc he’s too rough with them, like be more careful with them. Treat your own stuff more carefully. Just my thoughts
I want to want this figure, but seeing him on shelves the grey plastic is just SO boring to me. Also that hammer is pathetic and begging for a 3P upgrade
I love both the Mainline Rhinox and the Studio Series. Mainline because he's the perfect blend of Beast Wars and Movie, plus he's EASY to deal with. The SS is a mini MP and looks amazing. His transformation is not too bad despite some parts tending to pop off. But the WORST of all, is the Kingdom. He "simple" but he may be the most frustrating thing to transform ever.
He was in the movie for like 10 seconds and had some of my favorite action scenes, he's crazy with that hammer

In articulation, you can actually untab the shoulder to get a backwards butterfly join, which is really helpful for some of the hammer poses.

The part that allowes the knees to move forward locks in. You just have to push that area backwards until it locks in.
