@@alanbrooks9618 I love this pick up Auburn needed a RG just cause he played tackle doesn’t mean he can’t be like Wade and move inside and start at RG you don’t bring a guy like him not to play or even start that’s just poor guidance and sportsmanship in my opinion I expect Wright to be the back up and Chambers to start.

Auburn hasn't been stacked at the OT position in 20 years and we're complaining about having too many OTs? You can't have enough offensive tackles.
A team can never be too strong at the lineman position on both sides of the ball.

On the plus side, we are getting offensive linemen again. That's a good thing.
Freeze has said he needs 16 offensive lineman. This gives him his number. What’s the problem? Leave it to Auburn fans to fuss when there is nothing to fuss about.
How is it ever a bad thing to add depth on the OL with someone who has a bunch of experience when we have plenty of open scholarship spots? Zach is living in lala land during this episode. He's acting like there is a bunch of starting quality left tackles in the portal with 3 years of eligibility left

I trust our coaching staff 100%. You can’t talk about the staff upgrades and then question everything they do moving forward. Sorry, I love the show, but they know more than us. That’s why they make hundreds of thousands
They don’t “question everything they do going forward”. This is the first example in quite some time of them questioning the coaching decisions. They go to bat for this staff all the time. I strongly disagree with your stance.
Their reasoning is sound btw. And at the end of that segment they essentially give the coaching staff their flowers by saying we have so many great players on the OL now that a guy like Ronan Chambers doesn’t move the needle for us that much anymore.

"Question everything they do?" I see consistent and enthusiastic support for the recruiting and potrtal work the staff is doing, particilarly this upgraded staff CHF has assembled. So I get the criticism for this specific show, around this particular pick up, but I think the staff is getting extraordinary support with their roster work.
Good thing these coaches know what they are doing, and coach the roster everyday and know what they need.

I’m not convinced the offensive line is fixed unlike most Auburn fans.
No where close to fixed. Conner Lew is probably our only elite SEC player. However, compared to the last 5 years, this is the Great Wall of Dallas.
Think Zach doesn't remember what Coach Freeze said in the beginning of last season. You can never have enough OLineman.
Watch him crack the starting rotation and show out after this. May not age well but hey, that's a scenario of winning so we'll all take it!

Durkin was blitzing, stunting, and slanting. I'm sure the offense wasn't prepared for that. Made no sense to me not to just play straight up on defense.
Yeah I saw folks complaining about some of those blitzes not getting picked up. Maybe Freeze truly wanted to use it as another practice to see if folks could pick it up but I don't know why you show anything on A-day.

Well he’s about 30 to 40lbs overweight right now.
I think he’s good depth. He’s probably second string at tackle. He’s too tall for a guard really. It seems like maybe they didn’t love the options in the portal so they went with a guy they’re not married to.
If you get a guy with a similar ceiling but three years of eligibility they’re almost eating up a roster spot.

I’m going to trust Coach Freeze and Coach Thornton on making the decision to add this transfer OL player. Maybe he is the last OL added to the room. He must have some potential and talent if they offered him. We’ll see.
I can see why people wouldn’t like this pick, but I think adding depth at any position is always welcomed. Plus, I think he CHOSE to flip from Tulane to AU, on his own. But I think if we had gotten “Boog” Cole, we would’ve been set
I still say 70-72 football roster, 10-11 Basketball Roster makes sense with NIL money, allowing a better pay for play package in the new Revenue Sharing world

I’m not sure where this narrative is coming from that A&M lost everybody. They return a ton of production on both sides of the ball and their 2-deep roster is better than ours (according to On3). Also their QB had a much better year last year than Thorne. Until PT proves otherwise he is a bottom half QB in the league. 3.5 underdogs is not that crazy.

Our weakest offensive lineman is playing left tackle??? I’d rather move wade back outside and let Tate Johnson play guard. Maybe this kid from Akron can come in and start. We’re in big trouble if Lewis is our starter at left tackle.

I'd like 18 guys all the time on the OL. Not every player is the homerun starter upside guy. Hot take , it's nice to have a solid player. You need a ton of big dudes to play ST and let's be honest , scout team. Shitty scout team, shitty look for the starters. Bitching about getting OL, after the years OL drought from Malzahn, then the apathy of the following admin. And hey, maybe this dude wants a good name on his diploma that Auburn pays for.
From 2010 till 2022 this guy would have been the highlight of the class.
For gods sake Zac. You usually have good content. But every now and then you are just ridiculous. You wont see the day that you know more than our coaches. Can you tell me WHY NOT take him?
