  • Video clips recorded by Luke Honeythunder on Tuesday 19th December 2023 in South Queensferry, West Lothian, Scotland. It was extremely windy but mild day.
    Camera used: DJI Pocket 3
    Video's recorded in 2.7k @ 30fps
It was my absolute pleasure to meet and talk to Len for a while, he has a passion for South Queensferry and the world famous bridges and during our very brief meeting learned me so much. I am forever grateful, thank you Sir.
Rest in peace the 73 souls who died working on the construction of the Bridge, the youngest being David Clark (Rivet catcher) aged 13.
Construction of the bridge began in August 1884 and it was opened on 4 March 1890.

I have crossed the Forth Bridge many times, probably a few hundred times over the last 30 years and each time just as exciting as the last. I shall be crossing it again next Saturday while traveling to Dundee and back. I love this bridge, it is by far my fav bridge in the UK.

Those painted houses look lush, such a beautiful little Scottish town.

The Forth bridge is one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen.

Hi Luke, I remember seeing the Forth Bridge for the first time - it took my breath away. What a magnificent piece of engineering. I loved the little painted houses in the quaint historic town. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos 👍😊

Hey, hello and a very good afternoon . . . . . well, it is afternoon here, 3.17pm as I type this.
You have no idea how much I love the magnificent Forth Bridge and I have purchased another train ticket and this time I am going to Dundee / Scotland next Monday and my train goes over the Forth Bridge so I'm really looking forward to that. Something else I'm looking forward to, seeing the Desperate Dan and Minnie the Minx statues on Dundee High Street, they are characters from "The Dandy"
PS, thank you for taking time to watch my video and leave a comment, I appreciate it, a lot. 🙂

Hi there, thank you for watching my video and leaving a comment. Yes I agree it is a very beautiful area. For me to visit I took a TAXI from my home to Newcastle then got a train to Edinburgh. I then took another train to Dalmeny and walked about a mile to South Queensferry. For the last 4 years I have done this 3 times per year. I love it there. The Forth Bridge is my favourite bridge in the UK. 🙂

What a shame my fav cafe in the Ferry The Bikers Cove was closed during your visit.

Yes I agree, a real shame. This was the 1st, the one and only time I have been here and not went into the Bikers Cove for coffee and sometimes a bacon sandwich. When the cafe is open there is nearly always a fine selection of motorbikes on display outside in the car park.
