HEALTH WARNING!
I really hope this doesn't get lost in the comments.
There are a lot of people using retinoids and Vitamin A on their skin. I'm a doctor, I don't have a platform as of now, so I'm approaching you, Jovita.
Please get the message out that pregnant women, lactating women, women trying to get pregnant and newly married girls, or girls just about to get married SHOULD NOT BE INTRODUCING VITAMIN A to their skincare regimen. It is harmful to the fetal development, can even cause miscarriages.
Please please put this message out into the universe.
Love yr contact lenses.. which brand n color are they? 🙏
@Jasleen she just meant whoever is in the process of having a child avoid certain products.why are you so offended
@Jasleen I was going to comment the same when I found your comment. 🙋
@Jasleen No offense intended, but if you're mature, then you will UNDERSTAND that accidental pregnancies are _accidental_ . And, no, that doesn't mean through negligence or some fault of the couple! That means that the ONLY FORM of prevention that is 100% effective is sterilization. So, unless you've been sterilized, YES MA'AM, YOU CAN INDEED BECOME PREGNANT! 👏🤱
@Jasleen I haven't a clue about retinol. But your logic in THIS comment makes perfect sense. MANY THINGS (alcohol, smoking, certain drugs, etc.) can be discontinued on learning of a pregnancy.
However, I only wanted to clear up your miscommunication that planning, responsibility and maturity, etc could truly PREVENT accidental pregnancy from occuring in the first place.
But yeah, I mean people discontinue things, adopt healthier diets, all kinds of lifestyle changes when they bevome pregnant. NO arguments about that.
Okay Can we just take a minute and appreciate how beautiful she is looking today 😍❤️

I am really happy that you guys are taking out time to burst these myths.
First of all, you are looking amazing!
1. I just read today that VitaminC and niacinamide can be used together
2. Skin of colour : I mean it’s a fear inducing technique by few opportunists. Your video with dermatologists explained that really well
3. Fragrance : If it’s last in the list then not much to worry atleast that’s what my dermatologist told me.
4. Parabens : Not enough study to substantiate the same. Studies were sponsored by few corporates to sell their own product.
5. Essential Oils: suddenly they are villains. Why? Use wisely
6. DIYs : I have benefitted a lot but suddenly people say they are bad. Again use in balance
I can’t thank you enough for doing series of videos on these topics. I follow one RUclips channel of Dr.Anne and she also has cleared doubts about Parabens etc. Lab sciencemuffin cleared doubts on so called skin of colour.
Corporates can go to any length to spread myths to sell their products. We need to act wise.
I would like to tell u something about point 3.
There are some ingredients that are below 1%...
And according to rules they can be mentioned anywhere unlike other incidents which have to be mentioned in order of their concentration.
So if ur fragrance is first or last doesn't matter.
And in the name of fragrance companies add 100s of damned chemicals into it.

But I can tell you something very simple: in the USA are 1300 Indigrients allowed to Skin-Care and Cosmetics!
In Europe (I'm German and speak now for all Europeans!) are from them, from the FDA allowed Indigrients, only allowed 10 or 12!
Think: 1300.. again 10 or 12!
Why? Because we in Europe are much more carefully with our Public, our humans!
If there is something "maybe a bit" dangerous and not 100 % clear and harmless, it will be not allowed in Skin-Products and Skin-Care.
That's should be something to Think about what's going on there! 😏😢
@@BirgitBauhaus What kind of ingredients do you mean? Just preservatives? Because there are deffinitely more than 12 approved ingredients.

Dear Jovi ,
a person’s skin may shed every 14days but fragrance being a common trigger can sensitive the immune system and eventually lead to dermatitis on first or subsequent exposure of the same or similar compounds. Moreover these fragrances dont carry any skin benefit at all.So spreading awareness and not cancelling the possibility of adverse effects of these products even in minimalconcentration on such vulnerable skin types could help people like me....atleast it would encourage brands to come up with a fragrance free range atleast,,, catering to all our needs rather than downplaying what fragrance in skin care are capable of.,,,my skintype is ezcema prone dry skin and the availability of skincare for my skintype in indian market is close to non existent!! same goes with body moisturers and body cleansing gels / shower gels ,, now i can personally choose not to use body mists , perfumes and such products which are primarily sold for the purpose of fragrance,,, but when it comes skin care be it face or body ,,, in my opinion a frangrance free range has to be the most inclusive way of skincare to adopt.
So i would really appreciate that beauty bloggers like u jovi ,,one of ma favourite channel in this entire world of youtube help us out with spreading awareness and improving skin care choices for my kind of skin.

Lil bit fragrance won't harm. But if there's a productwith tons of fragrance it will cause acne and it can harm your skin. personal experience as I have sensitive, acne prone and oily skin. I have had this foundation from purplle and it smells like straight up like paint, it is actually a good foundation though.
@@charmi839 may be lil bit fragrance doesn’t bother ur skin,, kindly don’t generalise,,, also my suggestion was that brands also keep a fragrance free line along with everything else ... so it necessary consumers and people with influence give due recognition to this subject.

Hi Rahima, I also have a similar skin type with a very high allergy level. One of the ingredient that worsens my allergy is perfume. So I agree and understand with your point. I'm using skin care products manufactured in India and I was surprised with how well they suited me, since my skin is sensitive and was also ezcema prone dry. Message me on 81788 30969 if you need more details :)
Totally agree with the paraben point. Like cmon, they have to use some preservative. If not paraben, it'll be phenoxyethanol or something else. Putting preservative in a skincare product increases its shelf life, which you also want right?
Also prevents growth of fungi and bacteria!
Exactly and I'm allergic to Phenoxyethanol. That's an extremely irritating ingredient.
Ironically it's so called natural beauty products that require more preservatives.
There is a limited study done on breast tumor tissue and found most common chemicals in that are parabens. I know there need to be solid proof, but fear of parabens is not totally unwarranted. It's totally upto individuals priorities.

Pleaseeeeeeeee do a video on this topic: “ is it is necessary to use sunscreen at home... tips on how do we re-apply when we are out with full makeup and how often we should re apply
Yes the sunrays can penetrate through your windows , just use SPF 30 when indoors .and personally I love to use powder Spfs throughout the day .
Hope this helps .
Once I had very bad sunburn over my nose and cheeks in teenage from Ponds cold cream+sun exposure on sports day at school. It's plain curd (rich in lactic acid) daily for a week that actually got rid of it. Nothing elss. I didn't own even a facewash then. And fresh DIY facepacks are sort of better than the herbal readymade ones with preservatives, fragrance and other solvents. While they are not necessarily bad, DIY packs can still pack a good goodness punch for the skin on and off.
And I love essential oils. They do have good effect when chosen wisely.
And facial oils - we just need the RIGHT oil. After some trial and error, pure coldpressed ROSEHIP oil has been found to be my perfect fit. And when I want to calm down my skin, it helps immensely. Even brings down inflamed active acne. Sometimes, what the internet recommends for oily or dry or combination skin is not what our skin wants. We need to find it, yes with a little trial and error. Oils like grapeseed, jojoba, etc did not help my acne prone skin as many bloggers said. But rosehip is bae ❤️
I agree with you partly. It's wrong to assume that what we put onto our skin just remains there on the skin. It does get absorbed into our blood stream, and hence, adverse effects of certain ingredients may develop overtime due to chronic toxicity. Also, skincare as we have known it has drastically changed in past some years! All sorts of products, 'active ingredients', procedures have come up in past 10 years, which really do have a good effect on our skin in the short run, but we just don't know how will they fare in longer run! We haven't seen their effects on a generation yet! They may lead towards building up of chronic toxicity in our bodies, bioaccumulation of potential carcinogens, neuro-endocrine disruptors, etc, or may just lead towards increased photo sensitivity of our skin. The facial hair, that we despise so much, are an effective natural barrier of our skin and shied our pores from various environmental toxins. But merely for aesthetics, we are bent upon removing them, and then slathering on all kinds of chemicals to 'protect our skin'!
I strongly feel, with skin, less is more. Rather than having 10 different kinds of creams, moisturisers, serums and what not, stick to one time-tested cream and natural oils like almond or sesame. Multani mitti is better than any branded face mask, steam your face for unclogging pores, and a weekly pampering with mild home ingredients like milk/curd/papaya (and not lemon/tomato) will go the extra mile for you!.

Hey ,I would like to respectfully disagree with you. Our body has its own detoxification system and detoxifies once a while. So,for a buildup to happen,it has to be a very large amount which I dont think any well formulated skincare can cause. Also, natural is not always good. Many people are allergic to the above mentioned ingredients, and many people are so sensitive that steam can burn their face. So kindly check your facts and stop fearmongering.
@@ghanroopikanahar703 the body does its own detox, but it has its qualitative and quantitative constraints. For example, there are certain chemicals it can't eliminate, which very often find a place in the adipose tissues to bioaccumulate in (and that's the reason you very often find articles which tell you how even mother's breast milk is laced with toxins these days!). Quantitatively, when you subject your body to a cocktail of such chemicals that become a metabolic waste (orally, topically), you are over working the system than its capacity.
Bio-accumulation, and chronic toxicity can happen even at low doses, and doesn't need a specific threshold value.
And definitely, natural doesn't mean good! Even excess of Vitamin A is bad for your body! Point here is to understand what's best for your body- if steaming mildly burns your face, you can just use a lukewarm towel!
Underlying point remains, when the water, air and our food already burden us with environmental toxins, it is best to not add onto it by slathering multiple products! Skin is our second mouth, and we should put a second thought before we put something on it!
@@yoga1freak Thank you for the information about elimination of toxins but upto my knowledge if your body is compromised ,then such issues can happen. Our body has its own immune system which keeps fighting things. It's important to take care of it. Lower doses can be threshold for someone who is either allergic or sensitive to it. Hence a patch test is always done. Chronic toxicity rarely happens at low doses. Toxic the word itself pertains to exceeding a certain threshold value. Anything in excess is bad for us. Natural doesnt mean good. Skin is second to mouth, but do we take care of our mouth? Why are there many oral health issues these days? I have seen people who eat a lot of junk having no oral issue and somebody who eats little has a problem. Every body is different. We take care of our skin,we take care of our health but there are some things that needs attention externally because the problem lies there. Many people have minimal skincare ,many have multiple because they require it. Each body is unique and we should know what suits for us and what doesnt,do our research and proceed.Hope you get my point.
@@ghanroopikanahar703 Best wishes! :)

Makeup causing ageing might have to do with constant use of makeup everyday. Incorrect use of makeup (like rubbing in foundation with the thumb), aggressive removal of makeup etc can cause stretches on the skin over a period of time leading to loss of elasticity and wrinkles. I have seen how some parlours go completely agro on the face during the massage...every skin type is different and I do think constant stretching of skin during makeup removal, lack of moisture and reduced water intake together can accelerate ageing. What are your thoughts on this?
Hi Jovi, i agree with all your statement except 9th one. I had like "no hair" hair on my hands and legs but i shaved them when i was 15 and then they grew back much longer than my actual hair growth i.e. "no hair" hair. Now i have hairy legs and hands and i need to wax or shave them. They did not grew thicker but yes volume and length increased for sure.
Happened with me too.
It could have been hormones that change hair growth patterns
This has happened to one of my friends and also 2 of my cousins. They had very tiny hair actually I would say almost no hair but then just bcz most girls around them went for shaving and waxing etc they tried it too and regret it always. I don’t know why or how this happened or happens but it kinda did for them at least.
Everybody is talking about mixing niacinamide and vitamin C but why isn’t anyone telling in what PERCENTAGE can we use both of them together?

@@MrJovitageorge hey jovita! Is this outfit ( top) from karwarya..🔥
I don't agree with what you have said about essential oils. There are cases being reported after studies that usage of essential oils has caused contact dermatitis. Of course they have antifungal, anti microbial properties. These are considered to be used only at very low concentrations. So how can we use an oil having 100% concentration?! ("pure")
Experts have gathered at IFRA( International Fragrance association) and they have defined which oils and which of their components represent a potential allergy risk.
Contact dermatitis can be caused at any part of body but mainly occurs at hands and face because that part of our body is most exposed to sunlight( which is why some people might not develop allergy after using roll ons) it's a different case.
Essential oils are counterfeited by many brands to by adding cheap synthetic compounds and blending with less expensive essential oils of the same plant taken from different part of plant. We NEVER know it!!
Essential oils storage is another issue. If not stored properly it can undergo oxidation, decomposition, perioxidation.
There are 26 allergenic fragrances listed by the EU Directive some of the common ones are: Geraniol, Limonene. Linalool, citranellol, citral. I'll share a publication link from which you will get the full list.
What all I have written above is a nutshell of the link given below.
www.researchgate.net/publication/322503886_Essential_Oils_and_Their_Single_Compounds_in_Cosmetics-A_Critical_Review
"How can we use an oil having 100% concentration" : that's why it is recommended to use only few drops with something else ( may be some carrier oils). And its very subjective, studies are not so illustrious, that we can draw conclusion from a few number of studies. Its all about large scale.
@@arpanchoudhury1803 how does using few drops reduce the concentration of a product ?!!! Even after mixing the concentration of individual oils always remains the same. It's not just merely trials these studies are done on actual human skin itself. I trust science more than anyone just blabbering something without any data's or statistics. Also if this is causing harm to few people( on which studies are done) then the probability/risk is always high.
I don't know much about the studies on essential oils, that's why i told that, may be large scale studies are helpful. What i am telling is that mixing something pure with something other is always reduces the concentration of both. If you don't know the fact, here is small practical example. If you ever come across a beer bottle, it is written 6% alcohol (approximately). That means when you mix 6ml of 100% pure alcohol in 94ml of water, that becomes 6% alcohol. Like this if you mix some quantity of a 100% pure essential oil with water(let say for simplicity), it is no longer a 100% pure essential oil. Its concentration is reduced. I am not arguing. You asked a question, i thought to clarify you.😊
@@arpanchoudhury1803 Yaya i think u r right Bhaiya
Using in balance + knowing your own skin is the key instead of making oil a villain. There are communities where women have been using specific essential oils for centuries and they are fine too... Then there are people like me who breaks out even for the slightest oily moisturiser.
I love you girl.. I mean I am just watching your videos from last two days or so.. but believe me, I am really in love with your confidence. The perfectly balanced way of speaking out your words, without hurting anyone. The soberness, the frank and logical contents of your videos really made me fall for you.. I really wish a very very good luck for your life ahead, may its on youtube or any other way. Or may be I am just commenting on a very old video of yours, I don't know!! but truly, I love you JOVITA!! CHEERS!!
this touched my heart.. thank youu
Few people think essential oils are medicine & can heal everything causing delay to get treatment , The MLM businesses promote them in such a way & their constant nagging to sell them, is the thing causing hate towards essential oil. Few people with very sensitive skin can be burned by EO. Things can be beneficial or damaging according to the usage. Always patch test.
Very very true.
It took me a lot of time to catch hold of this culprit which was ruining my skin when ever I mix it up with night cream...l bought a lot of essential oils...I was worried...then I used most of them for my bed bug pblm...it worked like magic 😂😂
Hey Jovita, can you also share a skin care/body care routine/products for a pregnant women/postpartum. I’ve been doing a research on it but looks like I’m missing on something..
Oh Jesus! I love how she explains the hair growth increase in shaving... It makes so much more sense now, logically...I was confused about it but not anymore... Thanks Jovi!!
I would like to add one thing regarding essential oils. The companies selling them are writing instructions like 'pour on a cotton pad and dab on skin every night to get brighter skin' for tea tree essential oil. Yes, I'm talking about nykaa essential oils, to be specific. And I'm pretty sure there are many more brands doing this. I have used 3 essential oils and every one of them burnt my skin even after diluting them with carrier oil. So obviously, if anyone asks me (as I'm a junior doctor) anything about using essential oils, I will not suggest using that. Because not every skincare enthusiast knows how to use them and people tend to get excited and overuse. :)
Now if something is working for someone, well and good.
But I don't think the risk of promoting essential oils is something that anybody's willing to take. That is why all of a sudden it is being discouraged.
Oh, another thing about DIY face masks. Let's not generalize everything but putting ingredients like lemon juice is also part of the DIY FACE MASK TRADITION which is definitely harmful. Moderation is definitely the key but ultimately it depends on the user to which extent he/she wants to go with DIY. My moderation may not come close to your moderation and vice versa. So simply, it's better to be safe than sorry. Also, skincare is so subjective, if some DIY works for you, even that may cause allergies to someone else. I think, this is the reason why DIY face masks are also being discouraged. :)
Same with me but in my case I had used 3 products containing essential oils not the oil itself and yet those lab formulated products gave me dermatitis and the common ingredient was essential oil
Hi Jovita!
To start with I love your videos. You and your energy give out so much of positivity and I love the fact that you are honest in all your videos even if it’s about those big brand products that you don’t like (I still show that Garnier light vitamin C video to my friends)
However, I don’t completely agree with this video. When I started looking into skin care, I actually started looking into research that would support or debunk the fragrance being harmful claims. To be honest till now whatever I have read (I am a psychologist so I mean actual and ethical studies) I have come across more evidence that proves that fragrance is bad for our skin. I have combination skin which is very sensitive and prone to acne. I recently started to gradually reduce use of fragranced products for my skin and no kidding I have seen an improvement. It’s not gonna suddenly become flawless etc but I have worked very hard on my skin always and I wish I knew this before.
Also while I do agree with you that not all, Parabens and alcohol is bad for our skin, I would say that most skin experts out there on RUclips are genuine and all they want is to spread more education on skincare. But yes of course we shouldn’t blindly believe in anything and everything and should do our own research as well.
I don’t really intend to hurt or offend you but I see the amazing amount of influence you have on people and it’s just I would request you to not to conclude on anything so early. Again I love you and your videos just being open to you.
As someone with inflamed, acneic skin, I am desperate for Indian brands to release fragrance free alternatives because fragrance truly irritates my skin and worsens everything. So while the fear mongering may be unnecessary, it may also be a way to err on the side of caution so that people with damaged skin can get the products that they need. I had to look for six months for a decent fragrance free sunscreen that was also free from white cast. That's not fair on consumers like me either. So it'd be great if this fear mongering would cause brands to come up with fragrance free variants. And dermatologists like Dr. Dray talk about fragrance being a co sensitiser and a potential source of contact dermatitis. It may not end up affecting the majority of people, true. But for the ones that get affected, it can be quite bad. So erring on the side of caution can be a good thing even. The major problem is that companies add undisclosed fragrance compounds under an umbrella term to protect their IP. So we can't even figure out if we're sensitive to one particular compound or a bunch of them.
I was just sitting and then got a thought that y m i not able to see Jovita on my youtibe feed ...then i straightway searched for your name and wollaa i am here...love u alot jovita......the most honest reviews..the honest beauty blogger on youtube.
I used to use Nykaa's essential oils in 2018 ....mixed with my moisturizer...just a single drop....and it was the worst thing I've done to my skin till date. It was very drying, and I had a really bad breakout around my chin area. as soon as I stopped using it, it felt like my natural skin barrier revived and my skin started healing. Essential oils are a complete no-no!
Don't try with moisturizer.. Try with any carrier oil which is light.. And use as the last step in skincare after applying moisture...
@@aparnasrinivasan5660 I don't wanna risk it.
That’s because the Nykaa essential oils are the cheap bad quality ones.

I am allergic to fragrance. So, for me, even a little bit of fragrance is not good. I have to use fragrance free everything: face, body, detergent, even shampoo (which is hard to find!). I can't wear perfume and my family that lives with me cannot either. Once the allergy develops it is dreadful. Eczema, headaches, sneezing, coughing. Having lived with this for 30 years (it developed when I was pregnant with my second child), I can attest it is not something you want. The itching and scratching of Eczema can be maddening. And I once had to leave a small get together because there was so much perfume and cologne, I couldn't stop sneezing and coughing, and I had a hard time breathing. Fragrance isn't the devil, but the allergy is real, acute, and very hard to manage.
Oh, for sure, if you're allergic you need to stay away from it completely. That's a given. Have you tried homemade oats milk to calm down your skin? It works so beautifully!

About myth #7, I personally love glycolic acid and use it twice a week. Recently another youtuber stated that some dr on youtube said it is bad for brown skin and I asked her to cite her sources or at least link those videos and she took offence and asked me to look for myself. Like ok I was polite and all so didn't understand why she was so offended. Another myth is that dipping your fingers in skincare, like a mask is bad, no, they have preservatives for a reason
This is what I've noticed too. The followers of some people on RUclips are extremely aggressive and get offended way too fast. I wonder where that is coming from.
You look fabulous....the sari...the blouse ....the hair....the makeup nd obviously you.... everything is perfect!!!
I am glad u spoke about parabens...I hope all influencers speak on parabens and end this fear mongering so brands will go back to this well researched and effective preservative

Hi, can you just do a video regarding skinkraft. A lot of my friends asked about the product and need to know more.
Thank you sooooooooo much for this video. I did freak out a bit after watching a particular video by a hyped up RUclipsr (Dr Vanita) that essential oils are bad for the skin. She said that skin is good at hiding and you will know it only later. I use EO everyday! It's there in my night cream. And I just love it. But that video did get me a little worried, though I could not find any study or material on the internet about why EO is bad. All the major studies (I refer to a website called heathline.com) suggested that well diluted EOs are good. And yes, our skin does shed every couple of weeks, so the effects are not going to be there forever. That's so true. Thanks a lot. Really
Lol Google >> certified doctor
That doc was right I had commented my whole experience with products with essential oil but Jovi deleted that comment... otherwise u would have known I have 3 waste products I can't use on my face coz the essential oil in those products give me contact dermatitis thanks to these new influencers who study ingredients I gotta know it was essential in oil that was troubling my skin otherwise I don't know how much money I would have wasted
@@sanahgdcvh I guess everyone's skin reacts differently. I am fine with EOs so far. Although I may try to cut it down a bit. For my hair, I NEED tea tree EO. It has singlehandedly controlled by dandruff to a large extend and also tamed by frizzes. So I guess there are pros and cons to everything.
@@deeptiabey2453 yeah your skin might be strong to tolerate EO go for it if u want,,, I actually had a terrible experience with products containing essential oil can't even imagine using actual oil on my skin so thought I should share my experience,,, choice is yours I just wish someone would have told me it's that damaging to some people's skin so I wouldn't have used it and saved myself from this dermatitis
@@deeptiabey2453 also the argument that skin sheds so damage can't happen from long term use is completely baseless for eg if u put steroid cream once on your face it won't give you stretch marks but with long term use u will get stretch marks on the area of application so damage from prolong use of a product is possible even though skin sheds
Recommend some good vit. C serum. I want the recommendation particularly from you because I trust you completely and I love the research work that is required to burst out myths.
Loved the video. I'm sometimes amazed at the amount of fear mongering on the internet and honestly we all fall for it at some point or another. So this was really helpful.👍
Yesss so true about parabens, it is also used in medicinal tonic if it was that harmful the wouldn't have uaed it and in skincare we are just applying topically
Could you please suggest best Vitamin C serum and if could make a video on it as well.
Omg Jovita! GREAT videooo! EVERYONE in this world should see this video. Thank you for bringing such good quality content to us! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✨
Robert welsh shared this video link in his Instagram
Hey🙋♀️ may i know the colour of ur lenses and from where did u get it?😬 i am totally in love with ur look♥️
Jovee, which lens do you use more often? What are good brands ? Make a video on this love.
I have been using Jovita's videos for long.. and I love her... But today she is talking about things that actual skincare professionals say.. pple like Hyram and Dr. V, who are skincare professionals, say these things... And they r saying it on the basis of studies... And now she is saying it is a myth... So, I don't know wat to do now... Things just got confusing...
Ohhh. You are looking so gorgeous. Very nice and informative video. Please share a video on facial oils like kumkumadi, nalpamardi, rosehip oil.

Ya and also, I don't know much but delayed hypersensitivity is a real thing! I m a medical student.. and saying stuff like u can develop allergy to anything is like eat all the junk food u want, obesity is a myth and we all r gonna die some day... By that logic, we shud do anything we want because anything can happen anytym to anyone... Just saying...
U r awsome 😍😍, u totally changed my concept of beauty♥️, really inspiring soul😘
I always believed eye cream is unnecessary and just another product in the market. Thank you for the facts gorgeous! 🥰

Can you please link or mention which eye contact lenses you are using because I am in love with them ❤️❤️❤️ hope u read this message 💓 and link it😀🙏👍🎉
I said it before, n will say it again, GLYCOLIC ACID IS A BLESSING FOR SEVERE ACNE SKIN!!! Especially adult acne can only be managed by including glycolic acid in the night routine. Ofcrs moisturizer & sunscreens are must during it's usage.
Hey. Can you mention some good glycolic acid products. I
Ive started to use glycolic acid products like the plum green tea range. I wanted to start from minute percentage because never never been near to acid or actives. But it's dehydrating a lot, my skin is peeling. Like I am not even using all the products together. I started to use them so as to manage acne. I've been using plum moisturizer and after that some other moisturizer layer. Still I feel dry, and I am from combination skin type with acne prone skin. any suggestions?
@@raythomas8168 u shudnt go for the glycolic acid products without any consultation with a licensed Dermatologist. Only they can tell u if u really do need it or not. Actives need to be used under guidance only.
@@rupaligoyal3056 I wud suggest u to stop using any product that drastically changes ur overall skin health. For dryness, cetaphil moisturizer/hydration lotion works well. But if ur new to it, then start in very small proportion & observe ur skin.
Hi jovita, really enjoyed your video. Can you suggest a serum for oily skin
Thankyou that u dig into the matter of DIY facemask and Indian traditional skincare, really I also confronted a lot of RUclipsrs for saying this. I don't know why they flag the chemicals. Well, I have no problem with chemical, we need chemicals tooo. But its super foolish to reject our own traditional methods of skincare no!!
Your confidence is just like Priyanka Chopra, even I think at some point that your face is like her...Loved your confidence and expression at the time of speaking🥰
Most of myths of Dr V bursted.
Really really thank you for solving all the doubts that have been created by people which was causing lot of confusion and frustration on what to buy. Love you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Is it okay to apply body moisturizer on your face? I use the vaseline coco glow body moisturizer on my face cuz my dry skin loves it

Knowledge+ fun+ beauty..laughter..all in a single video..❤️ u look so pretty in the saree..😘
Hey Jovi, so what about using Plum Green tea night gel and toner which contains glycolic acid? I use em every night. Plum says the amount of Glycolic acid is 1% Do you think it's safe to use once everyday?
This was a much needed video ❤️❤️
Is witch hazel bad in skincare products? If you can please share your views on that as well..
Most of the times witch hazel is distilled in Alcohol . Don't use it.
I always have one problem with people who says fragrance is problematic. I m not against the idea of fragrance free products but some people just spreads hate to every single brands without knowing the reasoning behind a formulation. Remember those days when Parabens were considered bad becoz there was no proper study available online and now there is, people are now ranting in every blogger video that Parabens are good while before they used hate. It is good to have knowledge and it is good to be aware but try to understand from a bloggers point of view that experience also matter and if u don’t agree with them just leave it. I know sensitive people react to fragrance and they have the right to be against that but remember every skin type has there own problem, and we go around just saying that this particular ingredient is unnecessary just from online research only. There is professional study for this and we are not the people to go around saying anything about product by its ingredient list
@Jasleen the main reason why fragrance was and is used is to neutralise the odour that comes of other ingredients. Yes if a product is straight up deodorant then I agree the brand has done something wrong but if fragrance is at somewhere down in ingredient list then this is a different story. And also I m still not sure of the product to sensitise the skin latter on or can cause trouble in future as remember many people including people around us have been using products which included fragrance and yet very few cases has come to surface. Again I m not with or against fragrance it is the people who are spreading extreme fear among the people that is what making me question them.
@Jasleen thank you for agreeing with me that skin care is subjective 😊
Amazing video.
You are so well informed about these topics and don't just say just for the sake of it. I love it😊
And you are looking really beautiful.. Love the blouse 😘
So nice of you
And I'm lazing out on sunscreen 😬, thank you for reminding me about it again. I will use it consistently from today.
Good girl
@@MrJovitageorge hehe😁

Wow great video as always. And you look so gorgeous in this look!!
Can anyone make this video trending already? WHY? WHY? WHY? Why is this boss lady not getting recognised as much as other "teeny" youtubers??? I love you Jovita di!
Thank you for the love my dearest
@@MrJovitageorge Omg thank you for the reply and the heart!!!!
Can i use squalane instead of a moisturiser..i used many moisturisers some moisturisers sweat me alot ..or can you sugest me a good moisturiser
if you have dry skin squalene is gonna be amazingggg for you but if it's oily you can use a water based moisturizer and add a few drops of squalene
Pcos patients can actually have corase hair growing after shaving due to more testosterone.. I have personally experienced it and my friends too.. So shaving rules doesn't apply the same to everyone...
Thank you for saying that about DIYs! I know right!?
