The Song Bobby Simmons talking about is called “Old School” off the Me Against the World Album. That song was Dedicated to New York & New York Hip Hip.
PAC is From New York, lived in Harlem & The Bronx til he was 14/15 Years old. He always loved New York. His whole career up until he was on death row he was with New York dudes (Live Squad) People needa stop tryna hide and erase his REAL history & legacy.
He felt Betrayed after the whole shooting. People abandoned him while he was locked up. People like Wendy Williams were spreading rumors on New York Radio about him getting raped in Prison.
    This is all FACTS.
So it’s a no brainer why he went so hard when he came out of Jail & outsold everyone who was talking shit about him. Imagine sitting in jail , ppl tarnishing ya name & you have no ability to publicly defend ya self.
Anybody would feel the same in that scenario.
    Long Live 2 PAC

IMHO it’s the 3rd best song on the album. On that song Pac broke down everything about how NY clubs were popping back then, he talked about the blocks and when he talked about “when Brooklyn in the house” I remember that to this day because I was stationed in Germany and every cat New York or whatever were going crazy on that song.

10:45 Pacs second verse from his song “Representin’ 93” was the song I believe he’s referring to. That verse was hard af because he free-styled it. Literally Rhymed all the rap artists/groups of 1993 one take smoothly. One my favorite songs by him. It always makes me feel like I’m in that era whenever I listen to it. 🔥

Hearing him say “PAC” had love for Brooklyn blows my mind when I think about the fact that we separate ourselves into boroughs, sets, and coasts, meanwhile U neva hear those in power divide themselves up like that, and I’m afraid they’ve used hip hop as a tool to facilitate that outcome!!…and because of it,we fight and kill each other when they don’t!!!

    Intro: 2Pac
Here we go; we gon' send this one out to the Old School
All these muthafuckas in the Bronx, and Brooklyn, and Staten Island
Queens, and all the muthafuckas that laid it down, the foundation
Ya know what I'm sayin'? Nothin' But Love for the old school
That's who we're gonna do this one for, ya feel me?
    Grand Puba
'What more could I say? I wouldn't be here today
If the old school didn't pave the way'

    2Pac
I remember Mr. Magic, Flash, Grandmaster Caz
LL, Raising Hell, but, that didn't last
Eric B. & Rakim was, the shit to me
I flip to see a Doug E. Fresh show, with Ricky D
And Red Alert was puttin' in work, with Chuck Chill
Had my homies on the hill gettin' ill, when shit was real
    Went out to steal
    Remember Raw, with Daddy Kane?
When De La Soul was puttin' Potholes in the game
I can't explain how it was, Whodini
Had me puffin' on that buddha gettin' buzzed, 'cause there I was
Them block parties in the projects and on My Block
You diggy don't stop sippin' on that Private Stock
Through my speaker Queen Latifah, and MC Lyte
Listen to Treach, KRS to get me through the night
With T La Rock and Mantronix, to STETSASONIC
Remember 'Push It' was the 💣 shit, nuttin' like the Old School
    Grand Puba
'What more could I say? I wouldn't be here today
If the old school didn't pave the way.... '
    2Pac
I had, Shell Toes, and BVD's
A killer crease inside my Lee's when I hit the streets
I'm playin' skelly, Ringolevio, or catch a kiss
Before the homies in my hood learned to smack a bitch
I remember waaayyy back the weak weed they had
Too many seeds in the trey bag.
I'm the train headin' Uptown, freestylin'
Wit some wild kids from Bucktown, profilin'...

Definitely remember Flavor Videos playing Kurt Cobain now I know how my older siblings were into rock even tho we didn’t have cable living up the street from the old Yankee Stadium 🏟️ there was a BMX/Skate park which had an influence too in the early/mid 90s⁉️

Right before 9/11 Flava Videos was real big. People from NY that didn't have cable, had Flava Videos. R.I.P. Aaliyah 💙🕊️ Bobby had mad love for her. I'll never forget he playfully dissed her that Friday right before she passed. That Monday show was dedicated to her

When Bobby says he was 17 we were coming out with a record? 2:16 He wasn't with StetsaSonic on their first LP."On Fire". He didn't play drums on Go Stetsa like he always gives himself credit for. This video is entertaining but, he's speaking for people who ain't there...🤷🏾
