Mine is def bcs of overwatering. It has been raining for days now and not only the buds the young fruits which have been developing properly before r now turing yellow slowely. I am so mad i think am gonna cover it up with tarpouline to protect from the excessive rain water.

Your plant must be a different Variety with smaller thorns! And what area do you grow your dragon fruit? Is it too much in the shade? Is the soil well draining and have good nutrients?
