I am so happy to watch a reno as you prioritize your needs. Sitting as a family at the dinner table is more important than another sheet of drywall. Beautiful countryside. I hope you show more of it. Ohio, USA.
Thank you for your kind words. And that is definitely the most important thing. Time flies by and so does any time you have with your children until they leave home. To start a family of their own. So we try to find a good balance between renovating and family time. And I will definitely try to film some more images from the area, I really don't do that enough now.
@@petitrevefrance I've lived in NE Ohio nearly my entire life. (68). In my youth I had opportunities to travel. I look back and I realize the one place I barely enjoyed were the historical places and scenic drives of my own backyard. With today's generation of cameras and memory cards your family will relish these moments long after our time has come and gone. May good health and happiness surround you.
Great job with your house renovation and taking care of your family. That’s a busy life. I like the soft colors you have chosen for the renovations. Thank you for your videos.
Again very interesting video. The veranda for me is a little gem, I love this room. What transformations you have achieved with the children's rooms. It could be very nice if you transform one of the buildings in the garden in a B&B, your place is so wonderful💯💯💯💯💯
Thanks Deborah, maybe in the future we can create our building to holiday gites/appartements. But our Marie must changed there plan local urbanisme for that. So we must be patiented.
Thanks, we do what we can. Sometimes it looks like you doing not so much. But this video makes us realise that we have done so much more than we tought.
Leuk proces, fijn dat je het deelt. Aandachtspunt: je intonatie. Jullie LEVEN en brengen een plek in de wereld tot LEVEN en daar hoort geen toonloos verslag bij.
A beautiful property !!!!!!! You are doing a sensible, organized , well planned transformation😊 love your videos....especially baking sessions. The kids are great and you are a lovely family.....keep up the hard work. Most Importantly enjoy the journey, it's not always about the 'destination'❤
Thanks for your lovely words. And that's True its the Journey and not the destination. I think when everything is finished that we think of buying another renovation project 😀
At last time to watch your recap. My darlings 5 years or 10 doesn’t matter at all. Enjoy the process and it’s Brocante time❤❤ your home is beautiful already, you have all worked so hard. Have some time for each other. There will soon be jams and chutneys to make. Hope you can keep cool in the Jacuzzi, that’s if the children let you get in it. Much love and Bon Courage👏👏👏👏👏🥳🥳
The moisture is in the thick stone walls that cannot breathe because they have cement on them. We are replacing this with an alternative that does breathe.
funny, that you assume we didn't. Just because we don't show it in the video, our that you maybe haven't seen in in the video. Because if it's about the painting we did sanding it, (that's in the video) and we also clean it before painting (not visible). But If we had to show every step in our videos it would be a very long boring video. :-)
Well done on all your hard work look forward to the finish :) your daughter could be the next Olympic hopeful for gymnastics :) not sure if you started the kitchen yet or finished all the rooms but the progress is good.
Thanks for your lovely words. Not started yet on our kitchen. We only placed some kitchen counters. Because we had'nt ones. But they are not on the place where they become in the future.
Hi Richard, I use an sony a7 ||| and sometimes just with the iphone. We had it before we moved to france because I had my own interior magazine. And did the photoshoots for that.
@@petitrevefrance all my life! Actually I do have a nice long G Lens which you would be welcome to borrow if ever you film some wildlife, it fits the A7 range. I used it for the river lot wildlife sequence in our longer episode.
😀 yes a little gymnast. We watching some of the olympic movies on the internet, facebook and instagram. But not on television because we havent got french tv kabel. Only netflix our youtube.
You start by saying that in France they don't insulate the roof but the ceiling. This is no different like in the old houses in Amsterdam. Because the roof must remain ventilated to prevent moisture building up and therewith prevent rotting of the beams and roof boards. What I've seen you do with no vapour control layer and no ventilation by placing the insulation directly against the roof boards and sealing it off with plasterboard allowing moist penetration from 2 directions is asking for trouble in the long run. It looks like to be a glass wool and that is not the best either. Glass wool cannot withstand moisture and collapses. In potentially damp places, you should use rock wool. Is also much better and also much better fire resistant.
The isolation is'nt placed to the roof directly. I don't know where you live but here in france they don't use often a vapour control layer. Maybe of the mostly good weather i don't know why excactly 😅 The moisture issues we have in our room where in the floor and lower walls. This is because they are directly build on the earth, and the moisture didn't get out of it anymore, because the wall had a cement layer on it. We removing al of that so I hope that then the problems are solved.
Oui, portez des masques pour les yeux, le nez, oreilles: la poussière mais aussi les très très fines particules de la laine de verre pénètrent partout et sont très dangereuses.😊
Hmm, we don't have fig threes seen there I think. We have one on small one on the other side of the building and some little ones in our garden. But no fig three, but after one year a lot of what we removed then is already growed back.
Sorry we are not from the fast reversed timelapses. That don't fit by our slow living renovation content that we normally show.. But we show what we all did in 18 months so yes that's a lot of progress.
Sorry to here, I hope you have turned then the subtitles on. So you could read what I was telling. But luckily I showed the most in the video. Can you tell it was the audio level of my voice that was'nt good our is it my pronouncement? I am not english so sometimes I pronounce maybe words wrong.

Thanks Susie for your lovely words. We have not so many fruits this year 😅
I am glad we also live by an river for cooling this summer.
EXCELLENT work.📣
Thanks we do what we can. 😀
You need to put plastic vapour barrier before you put up the drywall this will keep the moisture away
The moisture is in the thick stone walls that cannot breathe because they have cement on them. We are replacing this with an alternative that does breathe.

I like to think that I would start with the clearing around the job ❤

I get exhausted watching all this work. You all must sleep so well.
Most of the times we sleep very well. 😀

Thanks for posting on our channel, I have replied, your output is so well shot! I meant to ask which camera you use? Richard
Hi Richard, I use an sony a7 ||| and sometimes just with the iphone.
We had it before we moved to france because I had my own interior magazine. And did the photoshoots for that.
@@petitrevefrancevery nice! I have its little brother, the a6600 which I use occasionally, but really should use more!
So also a Sony fan :-)

😀 yes a little gymnast. We watching some of the olympic movies on the internet, facebook and instagram. But not on television because we havent got french tv kabel. Only netflix our youtube.
I hope 🤞 you like picking up the paint chips in your color ❤
What do you mean by paint chips?
@@petitrevefrance The paint 🎨 that falls off the medal
The gate
We can hope that it will be in chips because we don’t pick up the dust

On our camera we have an good external microphone. But i do the voiceover recording with my telephone, so maybe thats the reason. 😅
If U have mould you must wear a mask
I had trouble with hearing the narration clearly
