The red 2007 R1 is truly gorgeous. My dream motorcycle.
1998 was the year that sportbikes changed forever.
When yamaha introduced this. It made everyone else kick it up a notch.
2000 model year was the best.
yamaha r1 is a machine with no prejudice apsolutely amazing.
There are superbikes faster than R1...costlier than R1... powerful than R1... but there is no superbike that can be superior to this machine... Its a one of a kind motorcycle than has a character that no other superbike have. This motorcycle is a legend and a monster at the same time.
That shit doesnt even make sense... there are other bikes faster, more powerful, handle better, yet no other superbikes can be superior go this? Lmao.... wtf

I've ridden liter bikes from every manufacturer except Aprilia and MV Agusta. The R1 always has a level of quality and feel to it that make it stand out as the best. Not by a lot, but enough to notice. Yamaha quality translates to more confidence in your machine. Those who know, know the best and best looking R1's were the 2004-2008 R1's, with the absolute most desirable year being the almighty 2008.

Thank you, for the eye candy. Yamaha "changed the game" with the landmark FZR-1000 in 1989. Then again with the 98 R1, asserting a position as a top tier, sport bike manufacturer.
The R1 is the best!! I'm biased though I've owned 02,04,09,13,14,15,20. Still need to find me a 07-08.

Greetings, great video. Owning bikes from team green, a zx6r and zx7, my knowledge of vintage Yamahas is rather scitchy, but my guess on the vintage Yamaha sportbikes is a FZR 400 pure sports, circa 1978 ish to 1982?. It featured a 2 stroke mill with a 5 valve head. This is kinda a guess, if memory serves. Thanks for sharing video!! Cheers!!!!

Hello, I’m a tall rider 6.3ft , 220 pounds, which super sports 1000cc should I get ?
S1000rr, Gsxr 1000rr, Honda fireblade 1000rr , zx10r, R1M.
Bike at the begining is Yamaha FZR1000 1987.
First bike was an FZR1000 Genesis, maybe..’86 / ‘87? I had an ‘87 blue/white version. Also had a 2001 R1.. didn’t really do it for me though. I had a 916 Ducati before that and found the Yamaha a bit dull 💁🏻♂️
My dream bike hopefully can be achieved.

You forgot the 03 to 05 delta box model that looked identical to the 03 to 05 r6. Maybe we only got that version in America....

Stick to the 2018 + version . The 2015 have lots of problems . If you don’t puch too much you can make a good mileage without problems but if you keep doing 1-2 gear the crankshaft don’t gonna like it

The crossplane Started in 2004 when rossi is on the yamaha factory racing team.before rossi came to yamaha they were also using a Flatplane inline 4 cylinder
Flatplane was used till 2008, cross plane came from 2009, my friend owns a flatplane R1 of 2008
Yeah The Crossplane Started on The YZR M1 way back in 2004-2005 . While the R1 is also using flatplane inline 4 . The main reason that They Used Crossplane is for valentino to feel the grip of the Tyre. And That AlsO The best sounding Bike even nowadays
