Guy's like myself. Always wanted to try something like Alone. After surviving on my own and in military, then again yrs afterwards I believe I could give it a valiant effort.
First person to kill a big game animal on the whole alone series. It's low temperatures and starting to snow he should take advantage of that and bushcraft some sort of box, pack it with snow, cut the meat up and freeze them. Then bushcraft a smoker, cut the meat into thin strips and smoke them too. If he can preserve the meat and dont get any injuries he'll have a really good shot at wining
You do realize that it's basically winter there right?? If there's snow he will have no issue preserving the meat anywhere he pleases. The only concern would be keeping other animals out which is an issue Jordan had in this season obviously.
yeah, and while he's bushcraftin that smoker, may as well bushcraft up a small log cabin, then maybe bushcraft an iphone and a sat tv, me personally, I think he shoulda bushcrafy himself some uber-eats
Dear History Channel! Could you please make it easier for people outside of USA to watch the seasons. For example in Finland it is impossible to watch the show legally. This sort of content should be available for everyone around the world
When you watch the last episode, Jordan talks about how he’s thinking of what to say so they can let him stay longer because he was getting skinny. Then when you watch him try to convince the doctors it’s so sad to hear him basically try and trick them into staying a bit longer, brought a tear to my eye. 10/10 television, a better man couldn’t have won the show, the last 4 contestants all deserved money, great people
Haha ... well done Jordan. Havent seen the episode yet. But well done. So going by the clip, it only went 6 miles. Must've been a little further back than you were aiming for. But such is hunting with a stick and string. Im so happy for you. We'll now be hopefully getting a lesson in primitive meat preservation next? Even if you dont win the season, youll now be world famous as that guy who got that moose, that one time, hahaha.
What do you mean “it only went 6 miles” I hope you aren’t referring to the moose after he shot it lol. That number was referring to how much he had to walk to get all the meat back to camp
Bill Randall No clue what you’re intention was with that comment but you should be explaining that to the person who said that it went 6 miles...did you not read my comment? I’m aware of how shooting an animal works.
I feel like everyone has been sleeping on this show for a while. Even though this is really the first big game kill, its still been an amazing series and they get lots of other game.
If this series continues it needs to be protocol for them to carry an emergency for protection only firearm. It’s one thing to test one’s skill and intellect in these situations but it is entirely another to needlessly risk lives.
This guy is AWESOME. Very deserving of JRE.. if you listened to it, he was concerned about bears coming for the meat. When in reality it was a WOLVERINE!! Which he killed and said tasted horrible 😂. SAVAGE
Wow, I didn't watch the entire season yet. Which episode is this? Always impressive watching a big game hunt. ...but my personal favourite is on season 7 (guess ep. 6)
For all the ignorant people saying that its a waste for him to hunt the moose, please understand that this contest is a year long if all the contestants can survive up to that point, AND that even with the moose he still lost 20% of his body weight by the end of the competition. He stored it all by creating a 15 ft tall platform in the trees and smoked all the meat to prevent bacteria from growing on the meat. The freezing temperatures at night further increased the shelf life of the moose meat since they were in Alaska during the winter.
Imagine being cast on a one on one basketball show and having Air Jordan on the same season. Imagine being cast on Alone and Bear Jordan is on the same season. You just can't win.

@zoraideale4046 It has been a while so I truly don't remember why I didn't like Clay, but it's probably something more to do with his attitude than his strategy, but I'm only guessing. Overall he was a good contestant but I still recall not liking him for something or other.
Hard too do, easy to type behind a keyboard
You do realize that it's basically winter there right?? If there's snow he will have no issue preserving the meat anywhere he pleases. The only concern would be keeping other animals out which is an issue Jordan had in this season obviously.
yeah, and while he's bushcraftin that smoker, may as well bushcraft up a small log cabin, then maybe bushcraft an iphone and a sat tv, me personally, I think he shoulda bushcrafy himself some uber-eats
@@kiasakite760 settle down you hero it was only an idea lol
@@energizerwolf5574 nar mate that's just simply some idea's that I would of tried if I was out there if they didn't work no big deal lol
Dear History Channel! Could you please make it easier for people outside of USA to watch the seasons. For example in Finland it is impossible to watch the show legally. This sort of content should be available for everyone around the world
What was the make of the bow he used?
When you watch the last episode, Jordan talks about how he’s thinking of what to say so they can let him stay longer because he was getting skinny. Then when you watch him try to convince the doctors it’s so sad to hear him basically try and trick them into staying a bit longer, brought a tear to my eye. 10/10 television, a better man couldn’t have won the show, the last 4 contestants all deserved money, great people
I knew that guy would be the one to make it threw having a moose is huge
I was more impressed with the wolverine kill with the axe
And he did it at night
Man, you are a joy to watch in "alone" tv series. congrats on your winning~ PS: i am a Taiwanese~
ELLEN WU no one cares about your nationality 🤭
Happy, he has got sustenance for a while, he will be strong and full of energy.
Haha ... well done Jordan.
@Bill Randall really ? They can't move more than 1.5 miles ?
This man literally pinned a wolverine to the ground with an arrow, then finished it off with a hatchet....
this is enough meat to literally GAIN weight during your stay on Alone. Insane.
“You’re like a burrito” LOLL
reminded me of the movie "into the wild". true story about Chriss McCandless who died of food poisoning and starvation.
Mad respect for this guy, he will have enought meat to last, i hope he wins
He won
I feel like everyone has been sleeping on this show for a while. Even though this is really the first big game kill, its still been an amazing series and they get lots of other game.
Yeah. I only discovered the show 2 weeks ago and I already ripped through the first 6 seasons. Love it!
If this series continues it needs to be protocol for them to carry an emergency for protection only firearm. It’s one thing to test one’s skill and intellect in these situations but it is entirely another to needlessly risk lives.
Yeah the dude who was 15 yards from a bear and could only climb a tree too risky for that to be his best choice
This guy is AWESOME. Very deserving of JRE.. if you listened to it, he was concerned about bears coming for the meat. When in reality it was a WOLVERINE!! Which he killed and said tasted horrible 😂.
SAVAGE
He wasnt really concerned about bear, he was bloody hoping for one to kill him, what an absolute madlad.
Remember seeing this during my watching of Season 6 of Alone and thinking "yep... this guy wins"
Nice job congrats!
Jist watched his Joe Rogan PodCast..this guy is a outdoorsman 100%...500k winnings for this alone show must have been awesome
Wow, I didn't watch the entire season yet. Which episode is this?
Always impressive watching a big game hunt. ...but my personal favourite is on season 7 (guess ep. 6)
He is do dang likable.
Its insane how effective a bow is, killing a mouse like that.
Imagine what it it does to a human..
So cool great job filming
For all the ignorant people saying that its a waste for him to hunt the moose, please understand that this contest is a year long if all the contestants can survive up to that point, AND that even with the moose he still lost 20% of his body weight by the end of the competition. He stored it all by creating a 15 ft tall platform in the trees and smoked all the meat to prevent bacteria from growing on the meat. The freezing temperatures at night further increased the shelf life of the moose meat since they were in Alaska during the winter.
Really great vid.
Very interesting
Jordan needs his own show, but don't sensationalize it and make it dumb like other survival shows.
I live in a Virginia and had no idea we had moose in the wild here.
hehe
the way they labeled the show, it seemed like they were saying he's in Virginia
Imagine being cast on a one on one basketball show and having Air Jordan on the same season.
Imagine being cast on Alone and Bear Jordan is on the same season.
You just can't win.
I do believe he just brought the popularity of the leatherman for edc. If you can skin a moose with it then it should handle any other daily tasks anyone could come across 😎
Does he explain where he shot the moose on the JRE podcast? Just wondering where he got the moose from 50 plus yards.
He hit one of it's lungs
They should do a alone season where they have teams of 5. Put the series somewhere in Africa or another Tundra based episode and call it Alone: Going Tribal.
Jordan the Great
Great shot with a recurve traditional archery can be touch and go
If I was on this show I would just find his camp 50 miles from me and steal his food LOL
Killing it was the ez part, being able to harvest it properly & make the most of it like he did with the bare minimum of equipment is what impressed me. He definitely deserved the win after killing wolverine that was stealing the meat.
Anyone else here after the Joe Rogan podcast?
this dude needs to have his own TV show of being the john wick of the woods
I wish he went into more depth on how he preserved the meat. How long did he smoke it for?
It said in the little tips in the bottom left that it can take 24 hours
This dudes personality is the complete opposite of Roland's, but both are master survivalist.
