In real survival situations, it usually is relatively small accidental injuries that do people in. Chris McCandless, for instance; he was a _self-proclaimed_ survival expert who ran off to Alaska to live alone in the wilderness. Long story short, before he’d even established a permanent campsite he slipped on some rocks and fractured his ankle. Unable to hunt or gather, he quickly starved/froze to death. Always move slowly and carefully across uneven terrain, and for the love of god, be extremely careful with anything sharp or otherwise dangerous. You only get one chance.

From experience, its always the simple things or getting distracted that ends up getting you injured in the woods
The build up for it give me so much anxiety
Man:I'm going to take my time and not get hurt.
"Two seconds later"
Man:"AHHH!"Slips on rock"
In real survival situations, it usually is relatively small accidental injuries that do people in. Chris McCandless, for instance; he was a _self-proclaimed_ survival expert who ran off to Alaska to live alone in the wilderness. Long story short, before he’d even established a permanent campsite he slipped on some rocks and fractured his ankle. Unable to hunt or gather, he quickly starved/froze to death.
Always move slowly and carefully across uneven terrain, and for the love of god, be extremely careful with anything sharp or otherwise dangerous. You only get one chance.
I thought he died because he ate poison berries thinking they were safe berries
@@jmwoods1995 Im also pretty sure he never claimed to be a survival expert
I’ve never heard this version. Never heard he was a self proclaimed survival expert, and pretty sure he didn’t freeze when he died in August.
He died from eating the wrong thing.
He ate peas that made him extremely sick
Top 10 worst Injuries, number 1: paper cut
Injury 15: Burger King foot fungus
You forgot lego
@@josephbitter7091 injury 2: Lego

Step on la leggo*
Shannon-just going to take it slow and steady so I don’t trip
1 min later trips and can’t feel his leg
Lmao
2:57 I was just thinking that she was smooth with her chopping lmao
The second one got me lol cringe when she split the first knew it was coming
These people don’t have situational awareness and little common sense
I saw that second one coming from a mile away just from seeing how she handled that axe
7:40 just think how the fishys feel lol
1:29 such a small cut and screaming like a toddler.. he's supposed to be tough being out there in the wild. not act like a baby. that's some overly dramatic reaction.
Yeah the axe to the hand, the broken foot and the hook in the tendon were bad. First guy needed a bandaid.
@@dreyddog19 yeah I agree
It was a scream of frustration more than pain. I bet you'd be doing the same thing you hypocrite 😂
@@FrostbiteDigital nah.. felt more like a silly excuse to leave.
Was that frustration he had to call or pain tbh
"OH yeah, let me swing a sharpened heavy blade towards a little as stick that I'm holding with my all my hand. Let me tell you my life story as well."
Why are we the dominant species again?
German Mink no one knows
Cause we can create guns

It's crazy how a simple fall could cause so much damage 😞
2:43 when I saw the way she's cutting the woods, I already knew what the accident was gonna be
Its kind of scary to think that such little mistakes can put you in such a bad place and that if these were real people lost in the wild with no doctors around, they would be screwed
*A FISH HOOK*
Got her home, wow she can’t be trusted to operate a toaster, my brother stepped on one when he was like 12 and took it out no problem on his own
Zylo is curved tho
And behind the thumb tendon
Truls Kennedy yah she could have curved it out
Zylo if she wanted to lose complete movement of her thumb, sure she could’ve pulled it out
I do understand where you are coming from she definitely needed tetna shots because of the water
5:18 “take my time slow and steady and not get hurt”
*No*
Haha
A hook really😂Cant believe she tapped out to that lmfao
Them: "Nothings gonna stop me"

Uncle Traveling Matt hA
Activity: swings axe.
Hobby: Picking up fingers
that second one is crazy, she stayed super calm aswell
Some were results of carelessness, I speculate that others were, "How can I go home and get a cheeseburger without losing face?"
The noise the last dude made when he broke his leg had me rolling😂
''Worst injuries''
*Do not try this at home*
ok thank you now I won't
obviously be patient don’t rush into things.
feel bad for the people who think they've failed, not realizing they prolly did 100x better than alot of other people could and fought hard
five worst injuries of what? I've seen worse, had worse.
everything but the knee injury i think could have been fixed on their own, and in a real pinch even that if it's true survival.
@@jonahi1304 I agree, as a outdoors person I've had many incidents where common sence and calming down have helped a lot, but the axe wound needed sticthes and if not treated would cause an infektion.
Five worst injuries of the show....
Wow you’re such a manly man
the one where the guy couldn't feel his legs also seemed kind of severe.
If you called this a survivor channel then man vs wild is a food review channel.
I feel like one of the reasons people got hurt is THEY ARE TRYING TO FILM while doing everything else.
old guy: my foot numb .
Guy applies pressure
Old guy: ow ow it hurts
