DeeDee is testiment to 'love conquers all'. I think she is more Pom Pom than Schipperke, but I could be very wrong...whatever she is she is a survivor and a wonderful companion with the best owner a dog could have.

I have had the pleasure and privilege of having Pomeranians in my life for over 31 years. Dee Dee is definitely a black Pomeranian. Pomeranians come in many different colors. Not all Pomeranians bark a lot. My wolf sable Pomeranian, Christopher is on 24 hour security patrol 365 days a year. If he sees something out the window he’ll bark. There are Pomeranians that love water, mud puddles or snow and others that don’t like water at all except to drink. I have had ones that loved a kiddie pool and others that give a look like I dare you put me in that pool. A schipperke has no tail a Pomeranian tail flips over their backs and have a double coat. As far as the not having any teeth on the bottom that has nothing to do with being in a crate or free to roam, it has everything to do with not getting regular dental cleaning and regular brushing teeth and feeding them soft food as opposed to kibble. I had a rescue Pom that I got from a shelter in Knoxville,TN that had all teeth removed as well as mandibles removed from periodontal disease. If Dee Dee can eat small bites of kibble as opposed to the kibble you give your other dogs it would be beneficial to her teeth. Get either a fingertip tooth brush and dog toothpaste from a local pet store and at least once a week when you groom her with a brush also brush her teeth. I know Brooke you’re saying great one more chore to do 😮. My guess on age would be either 6-7 years of age. I have an 8 year old Pom that’s black with a mismatch blaze of white on her chest Bibb and her back side is a dilute chocolate. I also have a wolf sable male who is 5 years old and then a black and tan parti papillon. The black and tan Pom in my profile picture went to rainbow bridge last year she was almost 10 years when she passed away in her sleep, but she only weighed 4lbs 3 ounces and was tiny. The larger Poms that have been in my life average life span was 16 years 8 months. Deedee color is black with dilute chocolate around her neck and back.

Brooke, I rescued a little dog off the streets years ago. She had very bad teeth and had a broken jaw that never had been fixed. The vet told me that due to poor nutrient was the reason why her jaw had broken and her teeth were missing. She also had been abused she was so afraid of men. Watching Dee Dee eat reminded me so much of my Lady. She was a Fox terrier mixed. Thank you for rescuing Dee Dee and all your other dogs. They sure have found the best home as well as all your other animals on the farm. I think she maybe 8 yrs old, but it really is hard to say not knowing how hard a life she may have had. It's so good to see Dee Dee again and to see her doing so well! I think she's at least 14 years young and is a Pommy. She might have been raised around farm animals as a puppy so she just got used to them being around. All animals have their own unique personality just like us peeps. I just saw that photo of a Scherperke. She really could be that breed too!

About two months ago, we took in a beautiful calico cat whose elderly owner passed away. No one in this lady's family wanted the cat, a real shame. After our last cat died, we swore off pets for good, or so we thought. Dolly has brought us such a feeling of purpose again. My husband, who was totally opposed to getting another cat, has completely bonded with Dolly! DeeDee is so lucky to have claimed you as her family, and you are even more blessed to have found her. People who have never had a fur baby (as is their right) have no idea what they've missed. I think she is mostly pommy with mix. She is probably 12, but she was not treated right. She is coming out of or healing from abuse because of your family. Brooke, you've doing a great job of giving her love, patience, and a safe place to call home. God bless you all.
We had a schipperke, who lived to be 17 years old.Heidi the Princess of Sundown.They have no tail females weigh around 15 pounds,males around 18 pounds.Their very protective of their family, very inquisitive,and they like to herd you,they are very playful, but can be sedentary. They where use in Belgium to snap at feet of OXEN TO PULL WAGONS.There hair isn't as long as Pomerians,they are pretty quite,they do not shed.We miss ours so much.They look like little fuzzy bears when little then look more like fox in face with pointed noses.Ours weighed half pound when got her.They do like to run.They love children .They are very obedient,not big barkers
DeeDee is at least 12 years old and I think she is a Pomeranian. A dog's coat and marking seem to have a correlation with behavioral traits which may explain her chill attitude compared to others of her breed

I love to see the tiny dogs out doing their thing. Loved watching Gidget run all around and play in the water. It would be awesome to see more of her out there playing and having a ball. Lil Deedee is just precious. She probably used to run around and play but with her age, it may have slowed her down some. Holly is always a joy to watch. She sure loves the water.
All Pomeranian I believe. I had a solid black Pom (Angel Isabella) for 11 years and the look of an elder Pom is DeeDee to the T. My Angel was my love. She had a heart murmur her whole life but was active & loved to swim with her black lab sister Miss Grace. They take a piece of your heart when they pass, you always have they with you
It's so awful that some people would treat their little dog so pitiful & dump them somewhere! I feel like God had a hand in leading her to you all to be loved & took care of! Thank you so much for loving your animals like you do.
If she was caged and neglected in her prior life she may have been used simply for breeding and put with many other olderl dogs once her pups were no longer viable. I adopted a whippet that was raised in those circumstances and she was really bad about resource guarding and did have some tooth issues.

I believe she was brought into your life at the right time. You needed her companionship to help you get your chores done outside and she needed someone who gave her a job plus a whole lot of love. My neighbours used to have two poms, one was out flat like Gidget, the other one was calm never barked just hung out. So it’s hard to tell.❤️❤️❤️ all I know is she’s a beauty. And I’m so grateful that she’s in your hands.

I love your family, but what I want to say is that your farm is so organize and clean it is a joy to watch your videos. Many others are so disorganized you wonder how they find anything. The way you and Brooke have the chicks and juveniles and adult fowl set up is brilliant. We had a Pomeranian for 15 years. His demeanor was much like DeeDee’s. He was not yappy either. Faithful companion.

I miss you making the kids' videos too. I can't get my grandson to watch it with me, but I watch it and think it's cute. Mr. Jason reminds me of Mr Rogers.

Merry Christmas Brooke, DeeDee is a beautiful little Pom. Hope you are feeling better. DeeDee acts like my rescued puppy who is now 9 years old. If she has had a hard life she may not be able to see or hear very well. Also if she was crated her whole life she may not know about water or other things that dogs should know. I love to see the tiny dogs out doing their thing. Loved watching Gidget run all around and play in the water. It would be awesome to see more of her out there playing and having a ball. Lil Deedee is just precious. She probably used to run around and play but with her age, it may have slowed her down some. Holly is always a joy to watch. She sure loves the water.

All Pomeranian I believe. I had a solid black Pom (Angel Isabella) for 11 years and the look of an elder Pom is DeeDee to the T. My Angel was my love. She had a heart murmur her whole life but was active & loved to swim with her black lab sister Miss Grace. They take a piece of your heart when they pass, you always have they with you

I’m anxious to see how old she is. She has come a long way. She looked so pitiful and now a beautiful animal.🥰
If she was caged and neglected in her prior life she may have been used simply for breeding and put with many other olderl dogs once her pups were no longer viable. I adopted a whippet that was raised in those circumstances and she was really bad about resource guarding and did have some tooth issues.

I think Dede is a Pom and is about 12 years old. It's amazing that a little Crate dog is now a little Farm dog and loving it. She's living the dream!

Wow! Dee dee looks like a totally different dog. She is so happy now.i swear she was smiling when you asked her if she was ready to go in the garage. Bless her heart she does got a little spanking still in her. How wonderful to see her thrive and express herself. You can tell she loves her new life now. I believe she was brought into your life at the right time. You needed her companionship to help you get your chores done outside and she needed someone who gave her a job plus a whole lot of love. My neighbours used to have two poms, one was out flat like Gidget, the other one was calm never barked just hung out. So it’s hard to tell.❤️❤️❤️ all I know is she’s a beauty. And I’m so grateful that she’s in your hands.

I love watching you and your family. I just want you to know that I watch about 5 other homesteaders videos. I love your family, but what I want to say is that your farm is so organize and clean it is a joy to watch your videos. Many others are so disorganized you wonder how they find anything. The way you and Brooke have the chicks and juveniles and adult fowl set up is brilliant. You both seem to have an innate ability to know how to treat, breed, feed, enclose, and love each of your critters. It is a joy to watch your family at work. Carry on Smith Family, carry on.

Deedee is in the right place to live out her life. And thanks to y’all she will never be hungry or mistreated again. She’s very happy. I had a skipper-key and DeeDee looks just like mine did just a different temperament than a Pom.💕
