A stout upper level low situated over Michigan supplied enough local surface vorticity to aid in the development of an atmosphere capable of short lived funnel clouds. A dry slot provided the clearing and sufficient destabilization for a few low topped thunderstorms to develop along the Indiana/Michigan border.
