Looking forward to this platform.
thanks for the explanation on the oil separators. That gives me hope that my d5 wont need to be carbon cleaned any time soon.
@@SPOR251 you’re very welcome.
Indeed its good to see that Porsche/Audi upgrade these beasts and they « prevent » future problems. Question: do you recommend installing external oil catch cans or you think these pcvs are enough to do the job?
@The Manley Garage what types of differences are you seeing in these engines? I'd love to see that breakdown to understand the value from different vehicles. It is really hard to find any information on those differences. It used to be clear with S6/7 vs RS6/7 that there were different turbos and fueling systems but I can't find anything on differences between RS6/7, Sq8, RSQ8 or Cayenne GTS and Turbo. I'm interested in picking up a Cayenne GTS but want to understand if there is a difference between that and the Turbo other than the engine software.
Good work
Thank you very much!
All looks a bit "grandson" of ...PORSCHE TIGER GUP....to me ! Bless them.
tell us about oil pressure, they keep lowering oil pressure at idle and low rpms for emissions reasons, someone said to unplug sensor and default it will run high oil pressure for better lubrication like it does from factory for first 1000km
While we do not condone, or recommend doing things that could bypass emissions controls in any capacity, we are aware that if you install new internal engine components, or replace the engine, it is recommended by Audi as part of their service procedures to re-enable the break in period for the installation of those new components.
I have seen writeups where it is discussed how you can do this with some of the more robust scan tools.
@themanleygarage ya vcds every 600 miles but that's annoying, I guess tell tuner to add it to software
