So true. I don’t like some of the women doing True Crime, just because they seem so arrogant and don’t come across as genuine at all. They are not all like that though, I love Stephanie Harlow, for example, I love Kendall Rae and Kimbyrleigha… those are some of the few that I do enjoy watching. Also Stephanie Soo, but you have to like mukbang + true crime videos to like her content. But she’s always respectful to the victims and their families. Also, Unsolved No More with detective Ken Mains!! But yeah, those are the main channels of true crime content that I watch.

I bet he would've confessed to killing Kennedy if he was asked -_- Maybe he did kill Adam, I mean if John Walsh believes that I don't know. I just get a feeling he didn't do it. literally no one is positing that as an "excuse". See, humans seek to explain thing and those circumstances are used to explain. A lot of people with *traumatic* (traumatising is not the correct form) childhoods go on to beat their children, drink a lot, beat their spouses/significant others, raise their children the same way they were raised etc., it's called the inter-generational transmission of violence and partially explains the ills of society and what causes them. sometimes people like background knowledge and other facts to explain occurrences.

People always look creepy in mug shots after you know they’re murderers. I saw a program years ago with all these kids ages 4-6, and they had all been going through a class about stranger dangers, and their parents had been discussing with them as well. They were put to some kind of test by having a stranger lure them away, and almost every child went with the stranger. No emotional harm came to the kids, but it just proves that these guys are persuasive and know how to trick a child. Back when this happened to Adam, nobody was teaching their kids anything, or worried about leaving their kids like his mom did. My mom always let me hang out in toy departments in any store we were in while she shopped (in the 70s). All kids did this.
Thing is though, the guy could have grabbed him and covered his mouth. There weren’t security cameras everywhere back then. It wouldn’t have been hard.

Regarding the issue of responsibility of Sears and the Hollywood Mallin Adam's abduction:
John and Reve Walsh did sue Sears and the Hollywood Mall in 1983, though they dropped the suit after the defendants' attorneys got a hold of the case file and warned the Walshes that the affair Reve was having with a family friend when Adam was abducted would become public as part of court proceedings.
The Sears security guard was a 17-year high school girl. IIR, it was her second or third day on the job. Her story of what happened was: two black kids and two white kids were fighting over the controls at the Atari display. She asked the two black kids if their parents were in the store. They said no, and she ordered them to leave through the store's north entrance. Then she turned to the two white kids and asked the older one if their parents were in the store. He said no, and she ordered both of them to leave through the store's west entrance.
She later admitted that when shown a photo of Adam she recognized him as being the younger white kid. He apparently never spoke up, and she said she thought the two white kids were brothers. It was theorized that Adam became disoriented when he was put out of the store through the west entrance because he and his mother always entered the store through the north entrance. This scenario has him standing bewildered outside the west entrance, perhaps waiting for his mother to come find him, when a bad guy found him first.
Neither the older white kid, nor the two black kids, have ever been conclusively identified.

  • @LyonsArcade

I put a lot of credence behind the guy that says he saw Dahmer at the mall that day, he pretty logically shoots down a ton of the evidence supposedly pointing to Ottis. The face stain on the carpet for instance is so ridiculous... and the fact that Ottis had no clue what happened other than what was public knowledge and he even got half that wrong... at the end of the day the cops completely screwed this one by not writing down most of the interviews. If we had those interviews we could look at them with fresh eyes and find clues. Instead the cops talked to hundreds of people and likely misinterpreted half of what they heard like anybody would. If they followed procedure this case would be solved beyond reasonable doubt. Ottis’ testimony sounds like nonsense to me but I agree dahmer likely would have admitted it... unless he just didn’t want to be known as a child killer. Brainscratcher indeed!

He fully acknowledged there was something wrong with him and admitted he would most likely kill again if released and was happy he was incarcerated purely so he wouldn’t hurt more people. @@denisekristen7620 I have no idea who killed Adam Walsh.
I do know for a fact, without a shadow of a doubt that Dahmer was brutalized, tormented and killed in Wisconsin Dept of Corrections.
From the onset of his incarceration at WDOC Dahmer was tormented by fellow inmates and SOME staff looked the other way.
I don’t know for a fact that C/O’s took part in threatening and abusing Dahmer.
I DO know for a fact inmates did and some C/O’s had no problem with it.
Dahmer was targeted (rightfully so) by inmates that were POC.
Several of Dahmer’s victims were young POC.
He preyed upon young gay minorities many homeless and addicted to drugs.
Several of his victims were runaways bc their home life was horrible.
Others were runaways bc their families did not accept their sexuality.
The AA community hated Dahmer both outside of prison and in prison.
      Again, rightfully so.
It wasn’t only minority inmates that hated Dahmer.
Almost all inmates he was in contact with hated him.
He may have come across as “remorseful” in some interviews but his behavior in WDOC was to contrary.
He liked to make “creations” with his food in the chow hall.
He was partial to ketchup as he used it as “blood” in his creations.
He was jumped in the chow hall numerous times.
He was also responsible for inmates not having access to ketchup for periods of time.
Had Dahmer admitted to being a child killer, he knew fellow inmates would likely kill him.
He wasn’t being treated well by prison staff, imagine if he’d admitted to being a child killer.
Additionally, Dahmer was serving life sentences in WDOC.
Had he admitted to killing Adam, Florida would have sentenced him to death.
Again, IDK if Dahmer killed Adam. I do know if he valued his safety at all he would not have confessed.

They found a photo of a blood stain on the back of Toole's floor board (where he originally claimed he put Adam's head:( poor baby) that looked JUST LIKE a face with eyes and a nose. I believe it was Toole who did it. I think John Walsh has excellent instincts and he believes this guy killed his son too. And not because the parents don't mean well, but because they don't know any better. Kids are spoiled so much, which is one of the worst possible things you could do to a kid. AlphaDElthaXray: My kids were overprotected. But they were not spoiled rotten. I still made them do their chores. I still taught them to mind their manners. I still taught them to be respectful. I still taught them to be tolerant. One thing really has nothing to do with the other Regarding being spoiled and overprotected. . I let my kids play, but I didn't let them go off to play alone when they were really young. I would let them bring friends over, or I would get to know their friends' parents before they could play at their friends' houses. I didn't let them wander off at the grocery stores when they were really young. I admit I overprotected them. I also allowed them to go outside and ride their bikes and play sports. But I always knew where they were. They are all adults now and are great people. Actually, my youngest son told me a couple years ago, "you know mom, I used to get mad at you for not allowing me to just do whatever my friends did and stay out late at night. THANK YOU for not allowing me to just run around with my friends and do what I wanted to do." Kids need limits. They need rules. On one hand, I would have loved to have been able to just let my kids go off to play all day on a saturday and let them be happy-go-lucky kids...but sadly I knew I couldn't. There are just too many horrible things that can happen out there.

I’ve seen you leave this same comment a couple dozen times.
Any content regarding the Walsh’s you’re leaving the same comment.
Why are you intent on spreading vile gossip about Mr John Walsh?
Why are you intent to exploit his mentally unwell daughter?
Meghan Walsh is making the rounds on TINY YT channels claiming Mr Walsh is a “predator” and “runs a child trafficking ring”.
      It’s absolutely disgusting.
I’ll attach the following excerpt from one or MW’s official court cases.
      NATURE OF COMPLAINT
“On June 2, 2022, the Department of Children and Families, received allegations of neglect for threatened harm.
According to DCF, Child Protective Investigator Supervisor (CPIS) Thomas Loveland, the report was against Meghan Walsh (DOB 07/15/19’ 82), which included allegations of SUBSTANCE ABUSE, and that she had an at HOME BIRTH in order to avoid her child being taken from by DCF.
CPIS Loveland advised Walsh has an OPEN DEPENDENCY case in Indian River County (312021DP454A) in reference to her other THREE children.
Shelter Order from April 16, 2021 from the above referenced case in which Walsh's, three other minor children were REMOVED from her care.
Her children were removed due to SUBSTANCE ABUSE, untreated MENTAL HEALTH issues, NEGLECT, EMOTIONAL ABUSE, and MENTAL INJURY to her children.
Walsh was ORDERED by the court to enter into an ongoing CASE PLAN to rectify the circumstances in the home in order to REUNIFY her children into her care.
Among numerous tasks she was ORDERED to comply with, there were recommendations that she obtain a PSYCHOLOGICAL, PSYCHIATRIC, and SUBSTANCE ABUSE evaluation, which she FAILED to COMPLY with fully.”
Public Record Indian River Clerk of Courts.
Anyone with sense doesn’t accept defamation and slander against a respected public figure without proof.
There is NO PROOF that Mr Walsh “sold Adam”.
The woman claiming to be Adam Walsh on YT is as disturbed as MW and anyone that could believe such lunacy.

Hi, John - I feel like I'm piling on here, so hopefully you don't mind being inundated with suggestions for show ideas. For Searchlight, another case I've followed is that of Michelle Parker, from the Orlando area. A few years back, the newly separated single mom disappeared after dropping her kids off with her ex-fiancé. Her car was found later. Incidentally, she went missing on the air date of the "People's Court" episode she and her ex-fiancé were featured on, squabbling over her engagement ring.
I've also been interested in the disappearances of: Tara Grinsted, a beloved young teacher, who went missing from her home during the night; Lauren Spierer, a University of Indiana junior who disappeared between dorm buildings after a night of partying; and Robyn Gardner, another woman who vanished while vacationing in Aruba.
Keep up the great, hard work! I'll happily share research I come across.

If anyone's interested in the supposed picture of the blood on the floorboard, Willis Morgan who claims he saw Dahmer in the mall that day, has illustrated that while that sounds compelling, if you look at the source photo it doesn't add up... it's much too small to be a 'face' but after the detective cropped the image it made it appear ghastly. You can see it here if the link is allowed by the uploader : frustratedwitness.com/junk.html

Since Adam Walsh got kidnapped and got killed by Ottis Toole, I sure hope all sears stores clerks and security guards are on top guard and made sure all kids under six are with their parents. Now for the older kids, the security guards made sure they got on the city bus or they had contact with their parents. Even though it was a different time back then. Little kids at the age of 6 should have been with their parents at all times or in school. I was ten years old when Adam Wash got kidnapped. Still to this day in the present life kids of all ages can still get kidnapped, abducted or killed may be both with no trace of ever finding them. Just like the Story of 18 year old. Disappearance of Natalie Holloway who got kidnapped abducted from Alabama, Who went on a class trip to Aruba a Dutch island in the Caribbean.teenager Natalee Holloway, some how disappeared during a trip to Aruba in 2005.

Sorry, i can't write too much in the comments, its prevented. But Jeffery Dahmer... That is stretching it I think. If Jeffery had him, he would never have left Jeffery. Start from the beginning meaning watch all the old interviews with the parents while the child was still missing and then watch the others after the remains were found

I don't think Toole or Dahmer killed that kid. It was someone else who did it...and that person is either still alive and doing very well in life with dark secrets like this in his subconscious, or is now dead and took that secret with him to the grave. I believe the child's head was not severed from the body until very close to the day it was discovered, considering the condition it was apparently in when it was found. That child was kidnapped and held captive for over two weeks, then finally was killed. It's tragic because no other part of the child's body was ever recovered, no one will ever truly know who killed him. And I can't even imagine that child's experience in captivity, those final moments, how terrifying an experience that all must have been.

Uuuummmmm........ I've read through a lot of the Jeffrey Dahmer F.B.I files, and read every book that I can read, and I find there are some things about Jeffrey that never made it to the public's forefront.
Alright so, chronologically after Jeff's first murder he joined the army and went into the police program. He was stationed in Alabama. He washed out of that program and was sent to around Houston Texas for medic training. In his time in basic training he became a sharpshooter and was considered a marksman with a pistol. So, Jeff excelled with guns and through his life long obsession and military training he had a great understanding of human anatomy.
Meanwhile, he doesn't use a gun in any murder.
Wouldn't you want an assassin with this knowledge. Wait, doesn't the military train assassin's? Also unlike in the movies people sometimes survive one in the head and one in the chest. Nobody survives decapitation.
Was decapitation a fixation or a educated answer?
Could Jeffrey Dahmer have been a military assassin?
Jeffrey was then stationed in Germany, where he sexually assaulted 2 men. One was his roomate. His roomate is now on disability, from being raped and tortured by Jeffrey Dahmer. This was all reported. The roommate also reported Jeff coming back to the room in bloodstained fatigues after curfew and Jeff was not even asked about the incidences.
Jeff then repeatedly came to work drunk, refused rehab and honorably discharged.
Jeff was sent to south Carolina and discharged. The military bought him a plane ticket to Miami. No residence, no taxes paid, no paper trail.
    Very professional.
In the months leading up to the abduction, there is eye witness testimony of Ottis Toole hanging around a flamboyantly gay man with blond hair blue eyes.
They were known to hang out at a bar that catered to the hand of death cult, which was affiliated with the process church.
Now the story is hear say, but there was a bar that catered to the cult, which can be connected back to the process church, and Ottis is affiliated with the hand of death cult and Jeffrey seems to have a connection to the process church through brother John Paul Renereri.
Jeffrey gets a job working at a sub shop getting paid under the table. No paper trail. The shop uses vans to deliver subs (1 is blue), and the owner of the sub shop has said that Jeffrey had been allowed to use the vans for personal use.
In July Adam was abducted. One witness did report seeing a boy being thrown into a blue van. 6 weeks later the child's head was found. In September 1981Jeffrey left Miami and moved in with his grandmother.
So Jeff left Miami a couple of weeks after the head was found.
Two months after the Tuomi killing, Dahmer encountered a 14-year-old Native American male prostitute named James Doxtator.
He was also arrested for drugging and sexually fondling a 13-year-old boy whom he had lured to his home on the pretext of posing nude for photographs. Jeff also had his way with the boy but would only serve a year in jail.
Jeffrey also abducted the brother of the victim years later, he was the victim who escaped the apartment to only be brought back to Jeffrey's apartment by the police.
He was also arrested for playing with himself in front of children.
I say this because the facts suggest that Dahmer did target minors. This nonsense that Jeffrey is too good for this crime in the chat is not backed up by the facts. I believe the video also makes this claim. Sorry not true.
    Did he do it? IDK.
Jeff's words, "who ever killed Adam Walsh could never live in prison." Jeff died not too long after.
Why could no one who killed Adam live in prison?
Was there a hit on Jeff?

I noticed that when you're discussing Ottis's statement, and the facts as outlined opposite, you skip over the testimony of Mary Hagan. She stated she saw him, speaking to Adam in the Sears store, in the video area. Therefore very possible Ottis was hanging around there, and followed the boys out when they were evicted. Just playing Devil's Advocate, and you usually seem to play fair with the facts. Curious why you did not debunk the statement that was clear on the screen rather than ignore it?

I have often wondered if you gave John Walsh the ability to go back in time and change things, to save his son from being murdered would he? Well more than likely of course he would. But think of it this way, his sons death set into motion a series of events which led John Walsh down a different career path in helping to fight crime and help countless others. He has done so much good for society, but it all came from the cost of his sons life.
I was almost abducted from a department store back around 1978 in Ohio, I would have been around 12 at the time but probably appeared to be 9-10 as I was a very small child. Luckily I was smart enough to run away. I can not help but wonder, I know that it is a one in a million chance but who knows, could have it been the same animal?

Giving the basest of human behaviors...it wouldn't shock me with the notoriety of the case and publicity that the evidence was sold off/pawned off. A descendant of an English Bobbie had a bloodied scarf from one of Jack the Ripper's victims.
I did see the pic of the bloody face in the back of Tooles car. I think it was Adams.

Why were the police so intent on the father when he wasn't even at the scene? Are they suggesting he snuck down to the mall and snatched his own child away from his own wife, after somehow knowing Adam would be kicked out of the store?
Then they move on to Ottis, who lies as a hobby.
They fail to develop film found in Toole's car.
Then they lose major pieces of evidence. USELESS COPS.

It is not only proper protocol, but thorough investigation to consider everyone closely related to a missing child/murder. Police were not "intent" on John, as all relatives, especially both parents were investigated.

He (Toole) could've used the video game lure in the confession only because he watched the 1983 film dedicated to Adam. I believe the detectives did a poor job by not recording audio and video of Toole as they drove around with him to the crime scene.

I met John Walsh at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando Florida. He talked to me briefly near the one foot court and shook my hand. I was about 14 at the time and only knew him from the TV show America's Most Wanted. After my mom told me the story of why he started that it made me cry (as a boy) and as a man of 40 now, John Walsh is a personal hero of mine. He turned this horrible awful thing into saving the lives of hundreds of children that would've certainly been harmed or continued to be harmed by the filth that John Walsh targets. God bless John Walsh.

As awful as this case is i want to say everything happens for a reason. People say why would God let this happen to a child and i have no answer and the only thing i can say is this the loss of Adam put John on a path that brought attention to so many lost and stolen children and brought many home and gave closure to million of families. This case made parents see how fast your child could be taken . In a blink of an eye they could be gone forever and the strength of John and Reve truly amazes me

Great episode. I tend to think Toole was just a serial confessor getting attention and special privileges for doing so. Lucas and Toole were con men so they were just conning law enforcement. As far as the luminol stain, I can see the face when they show the enhanced version, but without it I can't make it out. Have to wonder if we have pareidolia working out the face for people eager to see it and then enhancing it so others will too.

There was a video I saw last week on a caught killer who 'confessed' to this murder; Edward Wayne Edwards. The problem with this is that he 'confessed' to every murder since the Black Dahlia. The West Memphis boys that were killed, he not only confessed to those murders, he showed up on the documentary taking place in the cemetery, with a fake, long, gray beard. The same beard he supposedly played Santa Claus in with JonBenet Ramsey the following December. I don't know what to think about EWE. He may have confessed, but take it with a grain of salt. He was caught for murders, but he confessed to every murder because he wanted to be killed rather than linger in prison. Thanks to the both of you for this compilation.

Ottis Toole was just that, a tool. He and Lucas were LEOs best friends. They never met a murder they couldn't confess to. Extra commissary, a trip out of prison, whatever, it seems no favor was too small for them to help LE "close the books" on unsolved murders. Note only Lucas, out of 300 some inmates, including women and the mentally handicapped, that Governor George W Bush commuted his death sentence.
On a related note, maybe a good brainscratch would be looking into the first biography of Lucas, 'The Hand of Death', wherein Lucas claims to belong to a government run satanic cult. He also claimed many of his murders were actually hits made to look like psycho-sado-sexual incidents to hide true motive. The ramblings of a kook to prop himself up is an easy enough explanation, but doesn't explain why it was pulled from shelves quickly and is still out of print, (only used copies a available on Amazon). Though the stories could be as fabricated as the murders he confessed to that were proven he didn't do, it is interesting that he names places associated with the cia affiliated human trafficking group the Finders and now declassified US military training outposts in Mexico.

+EddieT2112 Wow, that's interesting. Makes me also think about that old documentary that was on about the boys being used and trafficked by government types. I can't recall what it's called but it's on youtube and the guy who was exposing it was killed I think. Then the Franklin coverup as well. It also brings to mind the work of Dave MacGowan about mind control and serial killers. Lots of podcasts floating interviewing him on the subject.
Dave passed away from cancer after he put that book out about Laurel Canyon and the odd 60s rock stars ties with a military base up there. He had some kind of meeting with Hollywood types as the book drew a lot of attention. Wasn't long after that he had a fast moving deadly cancer.

    • @TheGenXInfluencer54

I've heard about Franklin, I am not sure about the other case, it may be the same one. The Finders were caught in northern Florida with a van filled with kids. The men transporting them gave up the whole operation to the fbi and there was to be a big sting and a call came in and the men were released and it all went away. There are fbi docs out there, ( I think the lead agent was very sour about letting it go and released the docs.) But even though the capture was front page national news, there was no follow up by any msm.

The first victim of Dahmer in Ohio in 1978, was a casual FRIEND of his who happened to be hitchhiking through town. He strangled the Man and buried him under his Parent's backyard. Dahmer was stationed in Ft. Meyers,FL during 1980 and 1981. Walsh's murder occurred in Hollywood which is WELL away from Ft. Meyers(Over 150 miles). It was a Military Base so Dahmer would NOT have access to the Broward Co area nor would he have any reason to drive 3 hours off base to Hollywood. There is NO evidence that Dahmer was EVER in Hollywood,FL, no paper trail, nothing.
Dahmer's youngest victim was a 14 year old kid who worked at a Milwaukee Gay Bar Dahmer preyed for victims at. The reason why Dahmer targeted the boy, because he happened to look older than his age. The kid looked 18 years old. Dahmer also strangled him to kill him.
      www.cityftmyers.com/
This is where Dahmer was at until 1982. That's over 150 miles away from Adam Walsh's home.
Walsh was decapitated. That's how he was killed. Dahmer dismembered his victims post mortem. And mentioned time and time again that he strangled them to kill them.
Ottis Toole KILLED Adam Walsh. It was later proven he did when Hollywood police confessed that Toole was always their main suspect, but they had botched the case by allowing his car to be destroyed. They took photos showing a Child's faceprint, BLOOD all over the seat of Toole's car, a Machete and Maps to Hollywood FL which ALL point to Toole being Walsh's killer. Eyewitnesses in 1981 specifically describe the Man they saw Adam getting into the Car with as White, a Dirty looking Drifter between the ages of 35-40 with a beard, receding hairline wearing a navy blue Member's Only Shirt, they described his Car as being Goldenrod and looking like a 1978 Model Plymouth.
Toole was also a pedophile. He had diaries about kidnapping a young boy and turning him into his "Love Child Slave". Toole also DID have prior arrest records of Child Molestations from 1977 and 1978 and on top of that practiced Satanism.
Toole confessed in 1983 that he was the murderer, wrote John a sickening Ransom letter, recanted later but his Niece states that on his deathbed that he admitted and confessed that he indeed had killed Adam Walsh.
Just because he recanted over and over again does NOT mean he's not guilty. The man could Read and Write just perfectly and the circumstantial evidence against him is just WAY Too much and would have certainly been enough to send him to Death Row in '82.
Ottis Elwood Toole killed Adam Walsh.

I never saw this as a closed case. O'tool seemed to lack the iq it would take to kidnap in public, he was notable, not really a man I think children would easily follow. And all the discrepancies of both mens stories, always seemed to me like police reaching a little to fare in an apparent wrong direction. O'Tools lover/Best friend Henry Lee Lucas seem more to the talking guy, setting all sorts of stories into motion, because he love the publicity. Ack in the 90's I read up on Henry which lead me to O'Tool, and I remembering thinking what poor creatures, sad. But I could not see them as murders, they seemed to self-destructive, and confused, to have what it takes to carry out such a horrific thing, let alone get away with it, despite going over state lines. I don't know, but this 'clousure' never felt right to me. But thx for sharing yours and your trams point of view. Always interesting to see what other picks up along the way. But I still do wonder if the right offender was found?

John you just made me snarf my coffee through my nose “Oh! That’s the chin that I remember!!”.... I read a book that John Walsh helped write with the main investigator, I believe it was called “Bringing Adam Home”. I read the E-Book and it says in (I think it’s 2015 could be 2012), that DNA and some photos found after being undeveloped for all those years, Ottis Toole was indeed the killer of Adam Walsh. 100% and John Walsh, as ive said, helped write this book. John Walsh agrees that this disgusting demon Ottis killed his precious little boy....
